Indonesia's nationalism before the independence era was based on the struggle of heroism in seizing independence from the oppression of chauvinistic imperialists. But nationalism in the current era of development is no longer a form of heroism's struggle to win independence from the colonizers, but rather nationalism is expected, so that it can bring the struggle of the Indonesian people to be able to compete globally in technological competition and the world economy which incidentally in western hegemony. The formulation of the problem is is there a relationship between the understanding of Nationality Insights with the attitude and spirit of Nationalism in the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 Negara. The method of determining the research area using the purposive area method. In determining research respondents, researchers used the Proportional Random Sampling Technique method. The data collection methods in this study are as follows: 1) questionnaire and questionnaire methods; 2) interview method; 3) documentary method. While in the method of analyzing data with statistics, the statistical formulation used is the tetrachoric correlation technique. From the results of data analysis and hypothesis testing, it is known that the value of rxy: 0.670, while the magnitude of the relationship is calculated in the table (0.341) for TS. 5% and N = 100. Thus the null hypothesis (Ho proposed is rejected), because r count is greater than r table. So the hypothesis reads, "There is a correlation between Nationality Insights and the attitude and spirit of nationalism in Class VIII students in SMP Negeri 4 Negara".

This research is a descriptive study of students motivation using descriptive quantative approach. This research aimed to know the student motivation in learning English on the tenth year student In the Midst of Covid-19 at MAU (Featured Islamic School) Ihya’ Ulumiddin Singojuruh academic year 2020-2021. The researcher used questionnaire to collect the data. The indicators of the questionnaire were divided into two part; indicators of integrative and instrumental motivations. The researcher used the Likert scale with four alternative answers, those are strongly agree, agree, disagree and strongly disagree. The researcher analyzed the data of questionnaires by formula : P = n/N x 100%. The research results that the students’ integrative motivation in learning English is categorized as very high motivation and the students’ instrumental motivation is categorized as very high motivation.

Writing is an important skill in language learning. There are four components of the language skills are: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Writing is a skill which can be learned by anyone who wants to express their thought, ideas, feeling, etc. To get the data of the research, the researcher used essay writing test as the instrument. The researchers used purposive sampling to take the sample that is a class 14A. Purposive of the research was taken from the Fourth Semester students of English Department PGRI University of Banyuwangi in the 2015/2016 academic year. They are 12 students as sample which was taken by using cluster random sampling. Based on data of the result and discussion, it can be concluded that type of errors made by the students in their English writing descriptive essay from the highest percentage to lowest are error of grammar, vocabulary and organization. The result of the error analysis process showed that the students committed error into three types, grammar, vocabulary, mechanics, content and organization. From the frequency of each error types, vocabulary was the error which most frequently produced by the students. makes error of mechanics 120 or 41,49% that capitalization is 61 or 21,32%. Punctuation is 59 or 20,62%.. With those frequency, the lecturer should pay more attention to this part. It indicates that the students are weak in making a precise set of a sentence in particular and in writing in genaral. The second level error, is vocabulary is 53 or 40,25 that are spelling is 14 or 4,89%. Addition word 23 or 8,04%. Word choice is 36 or 12,58%. Diction is 44 or 1,38%. %. The third level error, is grammar 21 or 16,41% that article is 14 or 4,89%. Singular or plural is 10 or 3,49%. Preposition is 8 or 2,79%. The fourth level error, is content 6 or ,09%. The last level error, is organization 11 or 3,84%.

Interest is important because it will be a motivating force for encouraging students to learn. It is also an aspect of motivation building, a phenomenon that arises as a result of social interaction and student interaction in learning activities. This research was aimed at finding out whether there is correlation between students’ interest in English YouTube contents and vocabulary mastery. Furthermore, in this quantitative research, the researcher used correlation research design. The population of this research was fourth semester of students of English department of PGRI University of Banyuwangi. This study used a sample of 13 students from the 2019 class. The researcher gave questionnaires to know students’ interest in English YouTube contents, and test to know the students’ vocabulary mastery. The result of this research shows that there is no correlationm between students’ interest in English YouTube contents and vocabulary mastery. It is provided by the t ro = 0,05 and rtable = 0.552 with a standard of significant 95%. The value of correlation product moment is lower than r table (0,05 < 0.552). It found that rxy = 0.05 in r table on the interval 0.00 – 0.199. So, the null hypothesis (H0) of the research is accepted , but Ha is rejected. It means there is no correlation between Students’ Interest in English YouTube Content and Their Vocabulary Mastery at PGRI University of Banyuwangi.

Minister of education recognize the important of English learning to convey ideas out of Indonesia and to absorb external ideas that can be useful for the nation and state. To face it, the curriculum makes English learning as one of the materials in senior high school. Using text in learning process too much makes the students bored and the learning process becomes less interesting. This research was intended to describe the song comprehension of the eleventh grade students at MA Al-IMAROH Wongsorejo in the2019/2020 academic year. The Research design used in this research is descriptive quantitative.The total populations are 54 students. The researcher used one class of the Eleventh grade students at MA AL-IMAROH Wongsorejo in the 2019/2020 academic year by purposive sampling. The number of samples are 28 students from IPA. The data in this research was collected by giving two tests. The tests used in this research are listening test and essay test. This research used quantitative data. The reseacher showed that the average of song comprehension in MA Al Imaroh 68 which are categorized as enough. The vocabulary comprehension and reading comprehension were analyzed statistically in precentage. The precentage of vocabulary comprehension is 75 % and the precentage of reading comprehension is 59%.Based on the result of data analysis of song comprehension, the teacher could know the student’s ability in song comprehensions which is categorized as bad. Because of the students‟ song comprehension which is categorized as bad, the teacher should search the way to optimize the learning media and material. However the song comprehension now becomes one of the materials in curriculum 2013.

This research was aimed to get the empirical evidence of the effectiveness of Pictionary Game on students’ vocabulary retention. The method that was used was a quantitative method. The design of this research was quasi-experimental. This research was conducted in SMPU AL-Anwari Banyuwangi. The number of the sample of the research was 50 students of eighth grade. The instrument of this research was tests. The tests were divided into two, there were pre-test and post test The purpose of this research was to measure there is an effectiveness of Pictionary game on the vocabulary mastery of the eighth grade students‟ of SMPU Al-Anwari Banyuwangi in the 2017/2018 academic year. The area of this research was SMPU Al-Anwari Banyuwangi. It was chosen purposively because they have never been taught by using “Pictionary Game” at this school. Another reason was that the permission to conduct this research in this school from the headmaster has already accepted.

This research was an experimental research. The purpose of this research was to measure there is an effect of pop-up books on the sentence writing achievement of the eighth grade students‟ of SMPU Al-Anwari Banyuwangi in the 2017/2018 academic year. The area of this research was SMPU Al-Anwari Banyuwangi. It was chosen purposively because they have never been taught by using „Pop-Up‟ books at this school. Another reason was that the permission to conduct this research in this school from the headmaster has already accepted. The population of this research was all of the eighth grade students of SMPU Al-Anwari Banyuwangi in the 2017/2018 academic year. The total number of the respondents was 48 students, consisting of 24 students of grade VIII A as the experimental group and 24 students of VIII B as the control group. Based on the result of the data analysis of t-test formula, it can be known that value of t-test is higher than that of the t-critical (2,464 > 2,013). It shows that there is a significant effect of pop-up books on the sentence writing achievement of the eighth grade students‟ of SMPU Al-Anwari Banyuwangi in the 2017/2018 academic year. Based on the result, it is suggested that the students to use pop-up books as a guide in writing simple present tense sentences. Further, the English teachers are suggested to apply pop-up book as media in teaching English to improve the students sentence writing achievement and make them understand the lesson, and the future researchers are also suggested to use these results of the research as information or a reference to conduct a further and better research which focuses on the same problem by using different research design, such as a classroom action research to improve the students writing skill especially for English subject.

This study is aimed at describing the factors that cause students’ anxiety in speaking class and the strategies used by the students to overcome it. This research is categorized as descriptive qualitative research. It involved all the students of English educational department of PGRI University of Banyuwangi in the academic year 2017/2018 as the subjects of the research. The instruments were the observation sheets, reflection sheets, and a voice recorder. The data were collected through observations and interviews with the students and English speaking lecturer. The researcher also made data categorization before formulating the findings. The findings of the study describe five factors that cause anxiety. The first factor is fear of making mistakes. The mistakes that commonly happened here are on pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary. The second factor is the speaking tasks which demands classroom presentation. It is also related to students’ lack of confidence, preparation, and practice. The third is students’ self perceptions. The factor is about students’ thought and estimation towards their own capability in mastering the speaking skill which can influence their speaking performance. The next is gap of competence. The factor is dealing with students’ competence in English compared with others. The last is the role of the English speaking lecturer. It is related to lecturer’ ability to maintain suitable classroom activities for the students because it will affect the psychological condition of the students as well. The study also found some strategies used by students to cope with their anxiety. Those strategies are memorization, cognitive, and affective strategies.

The objective of the research is to know whether the students taught by using Previewing Strategy get better reading comprehension in descriptive text score, because the observation showed that students have low score reading comprehension in descriptive text. The research design of this research was pre-experimental desaign. The respondents of this research were the tenth grade students of AK class at SMK Darul Anwar, that consisting of 31 students. Vocabulary is one basic component to be mastered. It is reasonably, remembering that the four language skills need knowledge of words because they will get nothing without vocabulary. The large the students master vocabulary the better they perform their language. This study is to measure whether there is a significant effect of Mobile Legends Game on the students’ vocabulary mastery the researcher used experimental design. The research was conducted at SMAN 1 Cluring from 1st August until 31thAugust 2018, in the academic year 2018/2019. The population of the research was Tenth grade students at SMAN 1 Cluring. They were 31 students as respondents of the research and taken by using cluster random sampling. The sample was X IPA 1 as the experimental class. The total numbers of the respondents were 31 students. The technique of collecting data was giving a test. The tests used in this research is vocabulary test in the form of multiple choice. The data was analyzed by using t-test formula. Based on the result of the data analysis of T-test formula, it can be known that the result of t- test is higher than the t table. That is 7,833 > 2,048. The degree of freedom in the level significant is 30 the valuable of ttable is 2.048 from the analysis. It shows that “There is a significant effect of Mobile Legend Game on the vocabulary mastery of the tenth grade students at SMAN 1 Cluring in the 2018/2019 Academic year. Based on the result, the English teachers could use Mobile Legends as the alternative teaching media to make students Vocabulary mastery. Further, students are suggested to use Mobile Legends to increase their vocabulary.
