Abstract

Pharmaceutical services are an important component in the health care system. The role of pharmacists in pharmaceutical services has evolved along with changes in public health needs and developments in science. In order for treatment to be successful, pharmacists advise patients to adopt a healthy lifestyle. They also work with other health professionals to monitor the outcomes of treatment therapy that patients have completed. Pharmacists also consult, educate, and inform patients about the treatment therapy that they are undergoing. This emphasizes that pharmacists should increase their role in interacting with patients, be more oriented towards improving the quality of life of patients, so that the pharmacist's work orientation, which was previously only oriented towards medicine and tended to be behind the scenes, becomes a profession that is responsible for patients. Apart from that, pharmacists also play an important role in supporting the implementation of national health insurance and providing good pharmaceutical services. In managing a pharmacy, pharmacists are required to have knowledge and skills not only in the field of pharmacy, but also in the field of management. This is necessary so that the pharmacy can be managed properly and correctly.

Abstract

Background Behind : The high density of flies in RT03 RW04, Kartoharjo Village, Nganjuk District, Nganjuk Regency. Based on the initial survey, the results of fly density measurements were 16 flies from five surveyed houses . Objectives : This study aims to determine the effect of fly density levels on waste management . Methods : The research design in this study is observational Cross-sectional, namely to determine the effect of fly density levels on waste management. Where data concerning independent and dependent variables are collected at once at one time. Determination of Population Number of houses 70. Determination of samples with the formula n = N / 1 + Ne² = 70 / 1 + (70x0.05²) = 70 / 1 + (70x0.0025) = 70 / 1 + (0.175) = 70 / 1.175 = 59.57. Then 60 samples were obtained. The instrument used to measure waste management is filling out a questionnaire with observation while to measure fly density using the Fly Grill tool. The sampling technique uses Simple Random Sampling. The data is analyzed in the form of tables and Chi Square tests. Results : From this study, namely Good waste management as many as 30 (50%), poor waste management as many as 30 (50%). The density of flies obtained was low as many as 28 (46.67%), Medium as many as 10 (16.67%), High as many as 17 (28.33%), Very High as many as 5 (8.33%). Conclusion : Waste management affects the density of flies (significance 0.00 <0.05). Furthermore, suggestions related to the results of the study are the environment of RT03 RW04, Kartoharjo Village and the Health Office (Nganjuk Health Center) to plan activities in order to improve waste management so that it can reduce the level of fly density Copyright © 2018 Universitas Ahmad Dahlan .

The research results showed that the average waiting time was around 17.49 minutes, as many as 117 (81.9%) respondents from pharmacy staff behaved well and 185 respondents (85.65%) were satisfied with pharmacy services. The Spearman rank statistical test shows that there is a relationship between the officer's attitude and waiting time and satisfaction with pharmaceutical services (p value 0.04 and 0.000 < α = 0.05). Attitudes and waiting times for pharmaceutical services are important factors in improving the quality of pharmaceutical services.

Abstract

Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is a condition where germs grow and reproduce in the urinary tract with significant amounts of bacteriuria. UTIs are treated with antibiotics. Standardization of treatment considers more effective drugs at lower costs to reduce the number of events and health costs. The aim of this research is to determine the cost-effectiveness of using antibiotics in UTI patients at the Hospital in Kediri City, to identify the most cost-effective alternatives to achieve predetermined goals or criteria that cannot be measured in monetary terms, for example several health outcomes. The study was conducted using a retrospective method that compared the direct medical cost of antibiotics for UTI patients. The population of this study was all 44 inpatient UTI patients at the Hospital X in Kediri. The data were analyzed by calculating the Average Cost Effectiveness Ratio (ACER) and Incremental Cost Effectiveness Ratio (ICER). The results of the research showed that the average total cost effectiveness of the antibiotic Levofloxacin was lower by IDR. 2.448.854 compared to ceftriaxone with an average cost of Rp. 2.474.673. The effectiveness of the antibiotic Levofloxacin is more cost effective than Ceftriaxone because it has a lower ACER value, namely Rp. 594.382.039. The calculated ICER value for both antibiotics is Rp. -58.679.55. The conclusion in this study is that to achieve cost effectiveness of a treatment, an ICER value is needed and the calculation was obtained at Rp. -58.679.55. This shows that there is a cost reduction of Rp. -58.679.55 in the use of the antibiotic Ceftriaxone to obtain lower cost effective results
