Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penggunaan media wall chart dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis cerpen siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 7 Bogor serta untuk mengetahui kendala siswa dalam menulis teks cerpen melalui penggunaan media wall chart. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes, angket, dan observasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas IX-7 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas IX-6 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Hipotesis pertama yaitu Penggunaan media wall chart dalam meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks cerpen dapat teruji kebenarannya. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil prates kelas eksperimen yang memeroleh nilai rata-rata kelas 60 berarti keterampilan siswa berada dalam kategori cukup mampu dalam menulis teks cerpen, sedangkan pada hasil posttest nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen meningkat jadi 82 dengan taraf mampu. Hasil perbandingan mean kelas eksperimen dengan kelas kontrol dengan menggunakan rumus uji t, diperoleh data harga thitung=2,61 dan d.b=68 dengan t taraf dituliskan menjadi 1,67 2,61 2,39. hal tersebut menunjukan peningkatan yang signifikan pada kelas eksperimen. Hipotesis yang kedua yaitu, siswa mengalami kendala dalam menentukan ciri kebahasaan dalam teks cerpen bagian memuat kata-kata yang merujuk pada peristiwa yang dialami pelaku. Hasil angket menyatakan bahwa saat siswa menentukan ciri kebahasaan dalam teks cerpen bagian memuat kata-kata yang merujuk pada peristiwa yang dialami pelaku. Dengan demikian, penggunaan media wall chart dapat meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks cerpen walaupun terdapat kendala dalam menulis teks cerpen. Akan tetapi, hal itu tidak berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan yang dicapai oleh siswa. Kata kunci: Keterampilan Menulis, Teks Cerpen, Pendekatan Media Wall Chart ABSTRACTThe aim of the research is knowing the use of wall chart to increase students ability to write short story, class IX students of SMP Negeri 7 Bogor as well as to know the constraints of students in writing the text of the short story through the use of wall chart. Methods that is used is experimentation. Data collection techniques are used i.e. tests, questionnaire and observations. The population in this study i.e., class IX-7 as experimental class and class IX-6 as the control class with the Cluster Random Sampling techniques. The first hypothesis, namely the use of the media wall chart in improving writing skills text short stories can be tested. This is proved by the results of the experiment class prates duration average grade 60 means skills students are in the category quite capable in writing the text of the short story, while on the posttest results average score increased experiment class so 82 level can afford. The results of the comparison of the mean class experiments with the control class by using the formula t test, obtained price data thitung = 2.61 and d. b = 68 with t level is rendered into a 1.67 2,61 2.39. it showed a significant increase in the classroom experiments. The second hypothesis, namely, students experiencing linguistic characteristics in defining the constraints in the short story section contains words that refer to events experienced by the perpetrator. The results of the now declares that linguistic traits determine the student's time in the text of the short story section contains words that refer to events experienced by the perpetrators. Thus, the use of media wall chart can improve writing skills text short stories though there were constraints in writing the text of the short story. Abstract

Flashcards are one of the tools used as a learning medium. Many school teachers have used flashcards as a medium for learning English. This article aims to conduct a systematic review of using flashcard to enhance proficiency in English Language Teaching (ELT). Using the PRISMA method, this article analyzed various previous studies relevant to the topic. The search strategy is based on the following keywords: "flashcard" "English" "elementary school" and "primary school" with 3 data from Mendeley, Eric, and Google Scholar. Based on the results of this article, 2315 articles were found, which later 14 articles used in the final analysis became. The use of flashcards in English learning in elementary schools shows that flashcard help students learn words more effectively. Various studies show that the use of traditional and digital flashcards significantly increases students' understanding and motivation to learn. The integration of technologies such as digital flashcards and augmented reality also increases the effectiveness of flashcard learning. Thus, the use of flashcards can be considered an innovative and effective learning strategy to improve students' English skills at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is a major non-communicable disease that continues to increase globally and poses significant challenges to public health, particularly in developing countries. One of the main obstacles in T2DM management is inadequate patient knowledge and suboptimal attitudes toward disease control and self-care. This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge and attitudes of patients with T2DM through a structured health education intervention combined with physical activity promotion. The program was implemented using a pre-test and post-test design involving patients with T2DM at a primary healthcare clinic. Educational activities included interactive lectures, discussions, visual media, and guidance on simple and safe physical exercises appropriate for participants’ conditions. Patient knowledge and attitudes were assessed before and after the intervention using structured questionnaires. The results demonstrated a significant improvement in patients’ knowledge, with the mean score increasing from 11.5 in the pre-test to 15.9 in the post-test (p = 0.000). In addition, most participants showed positive attitudes toward healthy lifestyle behaviors related to diabetes management. These findings indicate that health education combined with physical activity promotion is effective in enhancing patients’ understanding and supporting positive attitudes toward self-management of T2DM. Integrating regular and structured educational programs into primary healthcare services is recommended to improve long-term diabetes management and prevent complications
