Abstract

Real conditions in the field The production of seaweed (C, racemosa and C. lentillifera) in Tual, Southeast Maluku Regency has tended to decline, due to the high intensity of extraction in nature without any attempt to control the cultivation. seaweed cultivation (C.racemosa and C.lentilifera) with a modified basic method so that it is hoped that this modification can increase the growth and density of seaweed in nature. Besides that, it can change the mindset of the people who have been taken away without thinking about cultivation. Even though the seaweed cultivation is actually a form of control and an effort to maintain the seaweed stock in nature by paying attention to the quality of the content of the seaweed. The aim of the application of science and technology for the community is to increase Caulerpa stock in nature by applying cultivation methods that can be done by utilizing local materials so that it can increase income for the people of Ohoi Wab Ngufar.

Abstract

Sea grape cultivation (Caulerpa sp) is a fishery business activity that can increase the income of coastal communities; therefore, it is necessary to project profit and business opportunities in the future on an ongoing basis based on the profitability. This study aims to analyze the financial feasibility of sea grape (Caulerpa sp) cultivation with basic plugging system quadrant net method. This study used survey research methods, the type of data needed is primary and secondary data, data collection used a purposive sampling technique, and data collection used a triangulation method. Data analysis consists of total production costs, revenue, profit, break-even point and R/C ratio. The results of the financial analysis of the sea grape cultivation business (Caulerpa sp) using the quadrant net step-by-step system method show that the total production cost is IDR 3,368,333/year, business revenue is IDR 12,600,000/year, the business owner's profit is IDR 9,231,667/year, R/C ratio is 3.74, BEP (unit) is 21 kg and BEP (sales) is IDR 317,106. Sea grape cultivation (Caulerpa sp) with basic plugging system quadrant net method is financially feasible to be developed in order to increase in the people income in the coastal areas of Southeast Maluku Regency.

Abstract

Tujuan penerapan Pengabdian Kepada masyarakat ini adalah meningkatkan produksi ikan segar yang sehat dan tahan terhadap penyakit di KJA dengan memanfaatkan bahan pakan lokal untuk produksi pakan buatan. Manfaat dari kegiatan ini dapat meningkatkan pendapatan bagi pembudidaya ikan KJA di Desa Kelanit Kabupaten Maluku Tenggara. Hasil kegiatan ini memberikan mitra kemampuan dalam menerapkan teknik budidaya ikan di Keramba Jaring Apung termasuk survey lokasi, menyeleksi benih, menjahit jaring, menjahit waring, membuat dan memberikan pakan buatan, pengukuran kualitas air, melakukan pembuatan konstruksi sebagai wadah budidaya Keramba Jaring Apung. Kegiatan tersebut telah dilakukan dan terlaksana dengan baik. Mitra mampu melakukan monitoring dan evaluasi kegiatan budidaya di Keramba Jaring Apung.

Abstract

Sea grape “lat” (Caulerpa, sp.) is a local food from Kei Island which used daily in the from of salads and has not been processed diversification. Example of diversification processed is a jam. The aim of this study was to indentify chemical characteristics of Caulerpa jam. The research method used is descriptive and proximate test. The result showed that the ratio of “lat” is very influential on chemical characteristics of Caulerpa jam with ratio of “lat” 3 : pineapple 1 has a better chemical composition to wit 30,39% water content, 3,12% ash content, 14,55% fat content, 1,39% protein contente and the carbohydrate contet by difference is 50,54%.

Abstract

.  Cinnamon leaves have properties as lowering blood sugar levels, inhibiting bacterial growth. Cinnamon traditional medicine contains the largest component of chemical substances, namely cinnamic alcohol, coumarin, cinnamic acid, sinamaldehyde, anthocinin and essential oils with sugar, protein, simple fat, pectin and others. Furthermore, it is said that cinnamon has antimicrobial, antifungal, antiviral, antioxidant, antitumor, blood pressure lowering, cholesterol and has low fat compounds. The dominant polyphenolic compound in cinnamon leaves is from the aldehyde group, which has insulin-like activity and antioxidant activity.  This study aims to determine the compounds contained in cinnamon leaves and antibacterial and toxicity testing of cinnamon leaves (Cinnamomum burmanni) was carried out to determine the effect on the mortality rate of Artemia salina Leach larvae. The results of toxicity testing of cinnamon leaf extract are known to be non-toxic and have an LC50 value of 128.6 ppm.  From the results of antibacterial tests of cinnamon leaf extracts with methanol, ethyl acetate and N hexanes solvents, it is known that the highest inhibition is in leaf extracts using methanol solvents with a yield of 12% and inhibition of 5 mm, while phytochemical tests of cinnamon leaf water extracts contain Alkaloids, tannins, saponins and flavonoids, triterpenoids and flavonoids.

Abstract

Caulerpa racemosa merupakan salah satu komoditas baru yang memiliki potensi tinggi dalam bidang perikanan. Selama ini, pemanfaatannya masih bersifat ekstraktif, yakni dengan cara pengumpulan langsung dari wilayah pesisir, sehingga budidayanya sangat prospektif untuk dikembangkan secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pertumbuhan panjang stolon, panjang ramuli, dan berat total C. racemosa pada empat kedalaman tanam berbeda, yaitu 1 meter, 2 meter, 3 meter, dan dasar perairan (kontrol). Penelitian dilaksanakan di Keramba Jaring Apung Politeknik Perikanan Negeri Tual selama 30 hari, dari 23 Desember 2024 hingga 23 Januari 2025. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga ulangan untuk setiap perlakuan. Pengukuran panjang stolon, ramuli, dan parameter kualitas air dilakukan setiap tiga hari, sementara pengukuran berat dilakukan pada awal dan akhir penelitian. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis keragaman (ANOVA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan pada kedalaman 3 meter (perlakuan C) menghasilkan panjang stolon tertinggi sebesar 35,6 cm dan panjang ramuli tertinggi sebesar 14,7 cm. Sementara itu, berat total tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan kontrol (dasar perairan) sebesar 1,9 kg.
