Abstract

Students' learning outcomes in the chemistry education course FKIP University of Palangka Raya, shows students tend to have difficulty in understanding the concept, especially the properties of the period keperiodikan. One of the causes of low learning outcomes is the availability of books used as a learning resource for students. Based on the observation result, chemical learning resources in basic chemistry lecture I still have deficiency, that is not based on REACT (relating, experimenting, applying, cooperating, transferring). Therefore, to increase students' interest and motivation, it is better to conceptualize the nature of the periodicity of the elements in the form of development of teaching materials. The research will be conducted on students who are taking Basic Chemistry course I in Chemistry Education Study Program PMIPA FKIP Universitas Palangka Raya, Central Kalimantan. The design of teaching materials development is designed with attention to several aspects such as, aspects of definition, design, development, and testing on students.

Abstract

This study aims to perform phytochemical screening and antioxidant test on Taya ethanol leaf extract (Nauclea orientalis). The ethanol extract was obtained by extracting the leaves of Taya by 10 grams using 100 mL of ethanol, macerated for 3 × 24 hours at room temperature then sealed, then filtered to obtain the filtrate, then concentrated. The extract is then used to identify secondary metabolites of alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, steroids, saponins and phenolics. The antioxidant activity of the ethanol extract was measured by DPPH. The results showed that Taya plant leaves contained a group of secondary metabolite compounds of alkaloids, terpenoids, flavonoids, saponins and phenolics, while for steroids were not identified. The results of antioxidant activity test extract showed that ethanol extract have antioxidant activity with IC50 value that is 352,251 ppm.

Abstract

Teknologi pemisahan gas telah banyak dilakukan menggunakan membran. Mixed matrix membran (MMMs) telah banyak dikembangkan dengan mengkombinasikan polimer organik dan filler anorganik. Pemisahan gas dengan mixed matrix membrane telah banyak dikembangkan dan menghasilkan kinerja yang sangat baik. Pada pemisahan gas CO 2 /CH 4, satu hal yang diutamakan dan diperhatikan adalah permeabilitas yang tinggi. Umumnya semakin tinggi permeabilitas suatu gas dalam membran, maka semakin rendah pula selektivitasnya dan begitu pula sebaliknya. Beberapa filler yang baik digunakan untuk mixed matrix membrane yaitu dengan filler material silika, nanopartikel NiO, grafena oksida dan metal organic frameworks (MOF).Kata Kunci: Mixed matrix membrane, pemisahan gas

Abstract

Kelurahan Kalampangan memiliki luas wilayah 5000 hektare dengan jumlah penduduk mencapai 4000 jiwa. Sebagian besar mata pencaharian utama penduduk adalah bertani. Kelompok tani lokal dibentuk pemerintah untuk dapat secara mandiri meningkatkan kesejahteraan ekonomi. Kelompok ini secara rutin telah mendapatkan pelatihan mengenai pembudidayaan sayuran dan tanaman berkhasiat obat. Namun hingga saat ini, hasil budidaya hanya dijual dalam kondisi segar yang tentunya memiliki berbagai kelemahan diantaranya daya simpan yang pendek karena mudah sekali membusuk dan rusak serta memiliki harga jual yang rendah. Oleh karena itu pelatihan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pengolahan pasca panen sangat diperlukan. Pelatihan ini bertujuan agar peserta dapat menghasilkan produk minuman instan yang bernilai jual tinggi. Metode yang digunakan adalah pelatihan langsung kepada 30 peserta (terdiri dari masyarakat, anggota PKK dan perangkat desa). Pemberi pelatihan terdiri dari dosen dan mahasiswa. Pelatihan yang diberikan meliputi pengolahan simplisia, pembuatan minuman, pengemasan dan edukasi tentang ciri produk yang baik serta berkualitas. Pada pelatihan masyarakat dikenalkan dengan metode kristalisasi yang dapat menghasilkan produk bercita rasa enak dan tahan lama jika disimpan. Pelatihan dilaksanakan di Aula Kantor Kelurahan Kalampangan pada hari Kamis tanggal 29 September 2022. Kuesioner sesudah pelatihan untuk menilai tingkat pemahaman para peserta mengenai keterampilan dalam mengolah tanaman obat menjadi produk instan. Hasil kuesioner menunjukkan tingkat pemahaman peserta dalam kategori baik sekali (87,2%).Kalampangan has an area of 5000 Ha with a population of 4000 people. Most of the people's main livelihood is farming. The government formed local farmer groups to improve economic welfare independently. This group has routinely received training on cultivating vegetables and medicinal plants. However, cultivated products are only sold in fresh condition, which has various weaknesses, including a short shelf life because it is easy to rot and damage and has a low selling price. Therefore, training to improve post-harvest processing skills is needed. This training aims to enable participants to produce instant beverage products with high selling value. The method used is direct training to 30 participants (consisting of the community, PKK members and village officials). The training providers consist of lecturers and students. The training provided includes simplicia processing, beverage manufacture, packaging and education about the characteristics of good and quality products. In training, the community was introduced to the crystallization method, which can produce a product that tastes good and lasts a long time if stored. The training was held in the Kalampangan Village Office Hall on Thursday, September 29, 2022. A questionnaire after the training was conducted to assess the participants' level of understanding regarding skills in processing medicinal plants into instant products. The questionnaire results showed the level of understanding of the participants in the very good category (87.2%).

Abstract

As an effort by the Ministry of Education and Culture to improve the quality of human resources, an independent learning policy was made. The quality of Indonesian human resources is still a challenge to solve because the results of surveys from international institutions such as PISA (Program for International Student Assessment) and TIMSS (Trend in International Mathematics and Science Study) still show a protruding ranking. In independent learning there are four main policies, namely (1) freedom of student assessment, (2) national exams replaced by AKM (Minimum Competency Assessment) and character surveys, (3) RPP (Learning Implementation Plan) one sheet, and (4) PPDB system (New Student Admissions) zoning. Therefore, to increase the success of implementing independent learning, it is necessary to have the ability of teachers in the teaching process which results in an independent student learning process. This article uses the literature review method to assess the teacher's abilities. The data collection method uses analysis of data sources obtained from various forms such as journal articles, books, Ministry of Education and Culture policies, and statutory documents. The results of this study indicate that to implement independent learning teachers must master pedagogical skills, skills to adapt teaching styles to student learning styles, skills to master online learning, and skills to master learning strategies. In addition, teachers must also master the principles of independent learning, forms of independent learning, and student learning activities.

Abstract

Pelestarian lahan rawa gambut menjadi tanggung jawab bersama seluruh masyarakat Kalimantan Tengah. Kesadaran akan lingkungan dan pelestarian lahan rawa gambut harus ditanamkan sejak dini yaitu sejak di usia Sekolah Dasar (SD). Masyarakat memiliki nilai-nilai yang sudah dijadikan pedoman bersama dan itu yang harus dipertahankan. Maka dari itu guru harus mampu mendesain pembelajaran dengan kearifan lokal terlebih pada menjaga dan melestarikan lahan rawa gambut. Seorang guru perlu mempunyai keterampilan dalam mengembangkan modul pembelajaran yang menjadi komponen penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. Sebuah pelatihan dan pendampingan terhadap para guru SD Penggerak di Kota Palangka dalam Pengembangan Modul Pembelajaran Merdeka Belajar Berbasis kearifan lokal untuk pelestarian lahan gambut. Hasil yang didapatkan dalam pelatihan dan pendampingan ini didapatkan hasil rata-rata persentase perserta mitra yakni 81% kemampuan mereka sangat baik dalam mengembangkan modul pembelajaran. Hasil dari kegiatan program ini, selain berupa pengetahuan guna pengembangan modul pembelajaran, juga disebarluaskan dalam bentuk dokumentasi video kegiatan yang diunggah ke kanal Youtube sebagai luaran wajib utama kegiatan ini, serta dalam bentuk artikel ilmiah yang dipublikasikan pada jurnal nasional terindeks SINTA dan produk modul pembelajaran

Abstract

This article aims to review the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in dealing with teachers' teaching challenges in the digital era. The digital age has rapidly changed the educational landscape, affecting the roles and tasks of teachers. They are faced with new challenges, such as managing an abundance of information, adapting teaching styles to individual needs, and providing effective feedback to students. In the face of these challenges, AI technology offers significant potential. This article will outline several ways in which AI technology can be utilized in the context of education. First, AI can assist teachers in managing data and information by using advanced algorithms to analyze and interpret student data. Second, AI technology can support the personalization of learning. Third, AI can be used to provide effective feedback to students. However, there are some challenges that may arise in the utilization of AI technology in the context of education. One of them is the concern about student data privacy and security. In addition, it is also important to consider that AI technology cannot completely replace the role of teachers, but only serves as a powerful tool. In conclusion, the utilization of AI technology can provide significant benefits for teachers in facing challenges in the digital era. By utilizing AI, teachers can manage data more efficiently, provide personalized learning, and provide effective feedback to students. However, it is important to keep in mind the limitations and challenges associated with the use of AI technology in education.

Abstract

Salah satu tanaman penghasil minyak atsiri dari Kalimantan adalah Galam atau Gelam (Melaleuca cajuputi). Galam menghasilkan minyak atsiri yang sering disebut minyak kayu putih. Minyak kayu putih yang berasal dari jenis Melaleuca merupakan salah satu jenis minyak atsiri yang banyak digunakan untuk bahan berbagai produk kesehatan atau farmasi sehingga minyak kayu putih menjadi produk yang banyak dicari. Penenlitian ini bertujuan untuk mengisolasi minyak atsiri dari tanaman Galam dengan menggunakan destilasi sederhana dan mengindentifikasi senyawa mengguna Gas Cromatography-Mass Spectroscopy. Rendemen minyak atsiri yang dihasilkan sebanyak 0,027%. Senyawa yang terkandung adalah 1,8-Sineol (64,749 %), alpha terpineol (33,188 %), dan Di-(9-Octadecenoyl)-Glycerol (2,064 %). Berdasarkan SNI, standar kandungan sineol pada minyak atsiri daun galam telah sesuai dengan SNI yaitu sekitar 50-65%.

Abstract

Abstrak Sabun merupakan campuran antara senyawa kimia dari asam lemak yang dapat diturunkan dari minyak nabati atau lemak hewani dengan alkali berupa natrium ataupun kalium hidroksida pada suhu 80-100°C melalui reaksi saponifikasi (penyabunan). Sabun digunakan sehari-hari sebagai pembersih, pengharum, dan pendukung Kesehatan kulit. Pemanfaatan sabun sebagai pembersih kulit semakin beragam, terlihat dari jenis, warna, wangi dan manfaat yang ditawarkan. Minyak atsiri dari kopi merupakan salah satu bahan alami yang dapat ditambahkan pada pembuatan sabun karena memberikan aroma atau wangi yang banyak disukai konsumen. Selain itu, minyak atsiri dari kopi juga memberikan efek melembutkan dan menenangkan kulit. Hal ini karena kopi mengandung senyawa kafein dan polifenol. Program Studi Kimia Universitas Palangka Raya melakukan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat melalui sosialisasi pembuatan sabun padat dengan penambahan minyak atsiri dari kopi di SMAN 4 Palangka Raya. Kegiatan ini terdiri dari tiga tahap, yaitu tahap persiapan sosialisasi, pelaksanaan sosialisasi, dan evaluasi hasil pengabdian. Hasil dari kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa materi dapat dipahami dengan baik dan kegiatan ini sangat bermanfaat bagi siswa di SMAN 4 Palangka Raya. Sosialisasi ini dilakukan untuk memberikan pengetahuan tentang pembuatan sabun padat dengan penambahan minyak atsiri dari kopi. Abstract Soap is a mixture of chemical compounds from fatty acids derived from vegetable oils or animal fats withan alkali of sodium or potassium hydroxide at 80-100°C through a saponification reaction. Soap is used daily asa cleanser, fragrance, and skin health support. The use of soap as a skin cleanser is increasingly diverse, seenfrom the type, color, fragrance, and benefits offered. Coffee essential oil is one of the natural ingredients that canbe added to soap making because it gives a scent that many consumers like. In addition, the coffee essential oilalso has a softening and soothing effect on the skin. This is because coffee contains caffeine and polyphenolcompounds. Department of Chemistry Universitas Palangka Raya conducts community service activities throughthe socialization of making solid soap with the addition of coffee essential oils at SMAN 4 Palangka Raya. Thisactivity consists of three stages, namely the preparation stage for socialization, implementation of socialization,and evaluation of the results of community service. The results of this service activity show that the material canbe understood well and this activity is very useful for students at SMAN 4 Palangka Raya. This socialization wascarried out to provide knowledge about making solid soap with the addition of coffee essential oils.
