Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi semakin meningkat seperti teknologi yang biasa dipakai dalam dunia pendidikan yaitu chatGPT. ChatGPT memiliki dampak positif dan negatifnya namun tergantung bagaimana siswa memanfaatkannya dalam dunia pendidikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh chatGPT terhadap prestasi akademik mahasiswa PAI. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kuantitatif dengan analisis data. Data diambil dari pengisian kuesioner yang diisi oleh mahasiswa PAI yaitu sebanyak 30 orang. Hasil analisis tes normalitas nilai berdasarkan uji kolmogorov-smirnov untuk data penggunan chatGPT normal, karena dilihat dari nilai signya (0,20) lebih besar dari (0,05) dan uji shapiro-wilk nilai sig nya (0,62) lebih besar dari (0,05), sedangkan data untuk prestasi belajar siswa tidak normal, itu dapat dilihat dari uji kolmogorov-smirnov nilai sig nya (0,03) lebih kecil dari (0,05) dan uji shapiro-wilk nilai sig nya (0,005) lebih kecil dari (0,05) Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa penggunaan chatGPT pada siswa PAI tidak mempengaruhi prestasi akademiknya, karena chatGPT ini baru dikenal oleh siswa PAI sehingga tidak terlalu banyak siswa PAI yang mengenalinya maupun memanfaatkannya. Jadi sebagian siswa PAI tidak terlalu menggunakan chatGPT dalam proses pembelajaran namun ada sebagian siswa memanfaatkan chatGPT untuk mengerjakan tugas mereka.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk kesalahan mahasiswa dalam mengerjakan soal bilangan bulat, pecahan, dan aljabar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan test dan wawancara. Data dianalisis untuk mengetahui kesalahan pada pengerjaan soal, kemudian dikelompokkan menjadi kesalahan konsep, prosedural, dan teknik. Hasil penelitian mendapatkan kesalahan konsep pada: (1) Bilangan bulat berupa penjumlahan, pengurangan, distruibusi, pertemuan tanda. (2) Pecahan berupa penjumlahan bilangan bulat, pecahan senilai, pembagian pecahan, pecahan campuran, operasi pecahan dengan bilangan bulat. (3) Aljabar berupa penjumlahan, pengurangan, perkalian dan pembagian bentuk aljabar, transformasi aljabar, memfaktorkan, asosiatif. Kesalahan prosedur pada: (1) Bilangan bulat berupa perubahan tanda, positif dan negatif (2) Pecahan berupa penyamaan penyebut, mengubah pecahan campuran menjadi pecahan biasa, penjumlahan dan pengurangan pecahan. (3) Aljabar berupa pengurangan, perkalian bentuk aljabar, penjumlahan dan pengurangan pecahan bentuk aljabar. Kesalahan teknik berupa kesalahan dalam memahami soal, salah dalam menjumlahakan dan mengurangi bilangan bulat, pecahan, aljabar. Kesalahan dilakukan karena kurangnya pemahaman yang disebabkan mahasiswa tidak nyaman dalam belajar matematika dan lupa konsep.

Abstract

PhET (Physics Education Technology) is a technological product that contains a collection of interactive simulations for science learning. PhET simulations have been proven effective for various levels: high, middle, and elementary school. However, their implementation is tailored for each level. The implementation of PhET simulations for groups of students with varying levels or heterogeneous classes in science outreach is the main topic of this activity. Activity supports the enhancement of STEM literacy, which is an important aspect of life today. The science outreach activity, known as Ogirium: Mathematics and Science for Students, focuses on groups of students from different levels (heterogeneous classes). Community-based research was applied. There are 19 participants from various levels of students. At the end of the activity, students take a concept comprehension test. Subsequently, students receive feedback on the test results, and a questionnaire is given to gather participants' perceptions of the activity. This activity revealed three important findings: 1) science outreach activities are beneficial and can serve as alternative learning and empowerment for the community, 2) PhET is effective for the learning process in heterogeneous classes, and 3) science outreach in heterogeneous classes can create multidirectional cooperation, both among students from various levels and between teachers and students.

Abstract

The rapid growth of Artificial Intelligence in Society 5.0 transforms higher education but raises concerns about dependency. Examining its role in fostering learning independence and critical thinking among pre-service mathematics teachers is essential. This study aims to examine the effect of AI usage, specifically ChatGPT, on learning independence and mathematical critical thinking skills of pre-service mathematics teachers at IAIN Kerinci. A mixed methods approach with a sequential explanatory design was employed. Quantitative data were collected from 30 respondents through Likert-scale questionnaires and critical thinking tests, then analyzed using simple linear regression. Qualitative data from interviews and documentation were used to enrich the interpretation of statistical findings. The results indicate that AI usage has a significant positive effect on learning independence (Sig. = 0.046 < 0.05) and mathematical critical thinking skills (Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05). AI supports self-regulated learning by enhancing initiative, responsibility, and self-control, while also strengthening interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference in mathematical problem solving. The findings suggest that AI can serve as a pedagogical support tool that promotes reflective and analytical thinking when accompanied by adequate AI literacy. In conclusion, AI has the potential to contribute to the formation of independent and critical pre-service mathematics teachers in the Society 5.0 era when used consciously and responsibly.

Abstract

Abstract Students’ low mathematical communication skills pose a challenge in 21st-century mathematics education. This study aims to explore applicable methods for improving students’ mathematical communication skills in mathematics education through a systematic literature review (SLR). The study was conducted according to the PRISMA guidelines. Data were retrieved using Publish or Perish and Google Scholar with the keyword “mathematical communication skills,” yielding 654 articles. The articles were then screened based on inclusion criteria, resulting in 93 final articles for analysis. Data were analyzed using thematic synthesis to categorize the methods or approaches for improving students' mathematical communication skills. The results of the study indicate that there are five categories for improving students’ mathematical communication skills: constructivist models, cooperative learning, problem-based approaches, technology-based learning, and metacognitive or scaffolding. The dominant criterion used was constructivist models, with 35 articles. In particular, the models most commonly used are CTL and RME. This study recommends that mathematics teachers integrate one of the five criteria into their instructional design. Furthermore, future research could conduct qualitative explorations involving broader and more in-depth studies to uncover how students’ mathematical communication skills improve, as well as develop a wider variety of assessment tools beyond written tests.. Keywords: Learning Mathematics, Mathematical Communication skills, Systematic Literature Review Abstrak Rendahnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa menjadi tantangan dalam pembelajaran matematika abad ke-21. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi cara yang dapat diaplikasikan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika melalui metode systematic literature review (SLR). Penelitian dilakukan berdasarkan prosesedur PRISMA, pencarian data menggunakan bantuan publish or perish dan Google Cendikia dengan kata kunci kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang dihasilkan sebanyak 654 artikel. Kdemudian artikel diseleksi berdasarkan kriteria inklusi hingga diperoleh 93 artikel final untuk dianalisis. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik thematic synthesis untuk mengkategorikan metode atau cara meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang didapatkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 5 kategori untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa, yaitu constuctivist models, cooperative learning, problem based approaches, technology based learning, dan metacognitive atau scaffolding. Kriteria yang dominan digunakan constuctivist models yaitu sebanyak 35 artikel. Sedangkan, model-model secara spesifik yang bayak digunakan adalah CTL dan RME. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar guru matematika mengintegrasikan salah satu dari lima kriteria ke dalam desain pembelajaran. Selain itu, untuk penelitian selanjutnya dapat melakukan eksplorasi kualitatif yang melibatkan penelitian secara global dan lebih mendalam untuk mengungkap bagaimana proses peningkatan komunikasi matematis siswa, serta pengembangan instrumen asesmen yang lebih variatif di luar tes tulis. Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the difference in moral levels between Islamic Education (PAI) students who participated in the Ma'had al-Jamiah program at IAIN Kerinci and those who did not participate (non-participants). The method used was a quantitative research method with a survey approach. The questionnaire consisted of 10 items containing indicators of morality towards Allah SWT, morality towards fellow human beings, and morality towards the environment. The total sample size was 70 PAI students, comprising 35 students who participated in the Ma'had al-Jamiah program and 35 non-participants. This study conducted normality tests and statistical tests using SPSS. Based on the normality test, the morality of PAI students who participated in the program was normally distributed (significance value 0.071 > 0.05), while PAI students who did not participate in the program were not normally distributed (significance value 0.00 < 0.05). Therefore, data analysis was conducted using parametric statistical tests with Mann Whitney U. The results of the statistical tests showed that the significance value for morality (0.682) was greater than 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that there is no significant difference between PAI students who participated in the Ma'had al-Jamiah program at IAIN Kerinci and PAI students who did not participate in the program. However, based on the interval questionnaire scores, the moral level of PAI students who participated in the program was categorized as Good (3.07), while students who did not participate were categorized as Fairly Good (2.82). Therefore, it can be said that both groups of PAI students have good moral levels.
