Abstract

Contributing to research on industrial revolution 4.0 era , this study investigates e-commerce practices carried out by tourist travel businesses in relation to the preparation of human resources in the tourism education sector. Key informant managers in two cities, Bali and Yogyakarta were interviewed to explore their adopted employee training and development models. The resulting data, triangulated by informal observation and document study, were analyzed using a theoretical framework that emphasizes seven indicators of interdependent employee development. The findings indicate that the global-oriented education management will be able to answer various needs in the job market through curriculum reconstruction with a digital human approach.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of religious tolerance of junior high school students. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach. The respondents amounted to 31 students. Data was collected through a questionnaire with 11 statements. Then the data were analyzed by means and percentage analysis. The results of the study show that tolerance is viewed from the aspect of peace, respect for differences and individuals, and awareness is in the very good or very tolerant categories. This is indicated by the average score for the three aspects located in the interval 3.75 - 5.00. This data indicates that students' religious tolerance is still well maintained so as to create harmonious relationships among students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap inovasi yang dapat dilakukan oleh perguruan tinggi sesuai dengan kondisi pelaku subsektor pasca pandemi. Penelitian ini mengambil sampel di DIY Yogyakarta sebagai kota kreatif. Hasil wawancara dan observasi yang dilakukan terdapat terdapat 3 kategori pelaku usaha diantaranya Pelaku Sub Sektor Parekraf oportunis, memiliki optimisme dan merasa kewalahan. Bentuk kolaborasi antara Perguruan tinggi pariwisata dan pelaku usaha diantaranya Ketersediaan sumber daya manusia yang kompeten dasar berupa Kompetensi dasar adalah programing, aplikasi, mobile, finance, design, dan legal pendampingan dalam pengajuan Hak Kekayaan Intelektual untuk hasil karya pelaku ekraf; Membuka Program Studi/ Mata Kuliah yang kosentrasi pada Digital Innovation Lounge (DILo) yang bertujuan untuk mencetak dan menumbuhkan sistem digital planer. Rekomendasi penelitian ini bahwa pemerintah Pusat; Provinsi; Dearah meningkatkan fasilitasi kemitraan melalui inisiasi matchmaking pemerintah daerah dengan Perguruan Tinggi.

Abstract

This research aims to develop website-based learning media on tourism package planning competency and report its feasibility. In particular, this study aims to address the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, which has made it difficult to conduct field trips or study tours, a crucial component of the travel business study program at Politeknik Pariwisata Makassar. The research addopted a research and development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model, as well as involving the material experts and media experts in the media assessments. Learning media trials were conducted in small groups comprising ten students and in large groups with 30 students. The learning media development resulted in a website hosted on the Google Site at https://sites.google.com/view/membuat-paket-wisata/halaman-muka. The expert assessment of the media's learning content and teaching process obtained an average score of 4.56 in the very good category. Meanwhile, the assessment of media experts on appearance and programming obtained an average score of 4.41 in the very good category. Similarly, the product trials involving students also culminate in an average score of 4.45 in the excellent category. In general, the results of the assessment and trials concluded that website-based learning media is feasible to be adopted in the competence of planning tour packages.

Abstract

Pentingnya kesantunan berbahasa dalam konteks perhotelan dan pemahaman kesantunan tersebut oleh karyawan front office dalam membangun reputasi hotel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kesantunan berbahasa oleh karyawan front office dalam membangun reputasi hotel di Kabupaten Bulukumba. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan kesantunan berbahasa, baik secara verbal maupun non-verbal, memiliki dampak signifikan terhadap kualitas layanan dan kepuasan tamu. Penggunaan ungkapan sopan serta penguatan komunikasi non-verbal menciptakan pengalaman positif bagi tamu. Selain itu, kesadaran budaya dalam komunikasi lintas budaya juga ditemukan sebagai faktor penting untuk memastikan efektivitas interaksi dengan tamu dari berbagai latar belakang. Oleh karena itu, pelatihan kesantunan berbahasa yang terstruktur sangat diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas layanan dan daya saing hotel di industri perhotelan.
