Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of increasingly stringent educational institution competition at all levels, especially at the Early Childhood level. In this regard, this study aims to determine the application of the 4P marketing mix strategy in realizing superior schools in RA Queen Al Khadijah District. The method used by researchers in researching this case is to use a qualitative approach, because a qualitative approach is used to describe, describe systematically, factually and accurately about the facts and the nature of the relationship between the phenomena being investigated. The sources of data obtained are by using observation, interviews, and documentation. The strategy used by RA Queen Al Khadijah is to implement a marketing mix strategy or better known as 4P (Product, Price, Place, Promotion). Product, price, place and promotion strategies were all carried out by RA Queen AL Khadijah in providing satisfaction to consumers, increasing the number of students, the quality of students so that the label as a superior school would be given by consumers.

Abstract

National character has a very strategic role in determining the progress and fall of a nation. So it is not a coincidence that the Prophet Muhammad. sent with the mission of perfecting morals or building human character. In the context of national education, character building programs have been proclaimed from one era of national leadership to another. In the reform era, an official character education program was launched in formal educational institutions in 2010, with the aim of improving the nation's morality which had experienced degradation. The implementation of the program is carried out by preparing a grand design and guidelines for implementing character education in schools. In order to enrich the discourse around the program, this article will discuss a formulation of character education in the perspective of Islamic education which includes three pillars, namely the foundations, methods and approaches to education which are conceptualized from the Al-Quran and Sunnah. This formulation is expected to be applied in Islamic educational institutions such as madrasas, even in non-formal educational institutions such as Islamic boarding schools and families

Abstract

The success of a madrasa in providing quality education, as well as in elevating its profile to a higher level, cannot be separated from the leadership factor of its head. The results of Peters & Austin's research confirms that the factor that determines quality in an institution is leadership. On that basis, this research was conducted to describe the leadership of the madrasa principal which is suspected to be an important part of the process of change that occurs in these Islamic educational institutions. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a focus on change leadership, with the subject being the Head of MIN Tempel Sleman, D.I. Yogyakarta, Period 2003–2010. From the results of the study, it was concluded that the changes that occurred at MIN Tempel Sleman were sourced from the leadership's vision and the idea of changing the head of the madrasa. In the process, change is carried out through six strategic steps, namely developing a vision, developing strategic plans and work programs, influencing mindsets and culture, creating agents of change, overseeing the change process, and encouraging innovation and learning.
