Abstract

Posyandu (Integrated Service Post) is a form of Community-Based Health Efforts (UKBM) carried out by, from and with the community, to empower and provide facilities for the community to obtain health services for mothers, babies and toddlers (Ministry of Health, 2012). Motivation is a force that describes both extrinsic conditions that stimulate certain behaviors and intrinsic responses that reveal human behaviors (Swanburg, 2006). The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between cadres' motivation and posyandu services for toddlers in the Polanharjo Klaten area. The research method used was descriptive correlational with cross sectional approach. The population in this study were 50 posyandu cadres in Kapungan village and Polanharjo Klaten village. The sampling technique in this study was total sampling, the instrument used was the Kendall tau data analysis questionnaire. The results of the characteristics of the respondents included cadres age 41-50 years, education was mostly high school, most of the respondents' occupation was IRT. The study showed that there were high cadres of motivation (42%) and the posyandu services for toddlers were sufficient (84%). Cadre suggestions can improve their performance by actively attending and participating in posyandu cadre training so that the implementation of posyandu can be up to standard.

Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are diseases that cannot be transmitted from person to person, whose development occurs slowly over a long period of time (chronic). In the initial course, NCDs often have no symptoms, many do not know and are aware that they have the disease. Efforts to control non-communicable diseases (PTM) such as: hypertension, etc., can be carried out by means of routine control at community health centers or through services at posyandu. Activities at the posyandu are coordinated by posyandu cadres. One of the activities carried out at the posyandu is health screening by measuring blood pressure. There are many posyandu cadres who have not mastered the skills of using manual blood pressure monitors. There needs to be training in using manual blood pressure monitors at posyandu. The goals of this activity is to increase knowledge and skills on how to use a blood pressure measuring device in the form of a manual blood pressure monitor for posyandu cadres in the Bawak Village Area, Cawas, Klaten. The methods used are socialization, preparation, implementation and evaluation. Training was carried out on a cadre of 17 people. All posyandu cadres were able to demonstrate well and were skilled at using a manual sphygmomanometer to measure blood pressure.

Abstract

The first stage of labor often takes a long time and causes discomfort for the mother, so methods are needed to accelerate it. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of microcontroller-based nipple stimulation in accelerating the labor process by stimulating the release of the hormone oxytocin which increases uterine contractions and accelerates cervical opening. Microcontroller technology is used to ensure the stimulation is done automatically and measured according to the mother's physiological needs. This study involved two groups, namely the group that received stimulation and the control group that did not receive stimulation. The results showed that the stimulated group experienced shorter labor times than the control group and were less likely to require medical interventions such as induction with drugs.  Close monitoring is still required to ensure safety, especially regarding the risk of uterine hyperstimulation that may affect the condition of the mother and fetus. Further research is needed to test the long-term effectiveness and safety of this method before it is widely applied in obstetric practice. Based on the total library, 600 were identified and as many as 100 additional articles were identified. A total of 630 studies failed to meet the inclusion criteria and 70 articles were read in their entirety, so that as many as 11 publications were used as references. Microcontroller-based nipple stimulation offers an innovative solution that can improve the efficiency of labor while providing a better quality of health care.
