Abstract

This study explores how counselling service management can overcome burnout in students in madrasas. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method to understand the effectiveness of counselling services in the school. The research method used is a qualitative method of case studies. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation studies involving students, counsellors, and teachers. Data analysis uses thematic analysis techniques to identify the main themes that emerge from the data. The results show that an in-depth process of identifying student needs can reduce the risk of burnout by designing more appropriate interventions. The appointment of the right counsellor increases the effectiveness of counselling services through a better understanding of student problems. Ongoing mentoring programs provide emotional and practical support that helps students develop better-coping strategies. In addition, student feedback is used to improve the quality of counselling services. This research contributes significantly by updating the perspective on counselling service management and offering intervention models that can be applied in various educational institutions to overcome burnout. These findings provide practical guidance for other educational institutions to improve their counselling services to address student burnout.

Abstract

The presence of counselling services in Pakistani universities is pivotal for the maintenance of student's mental health and academic prosperity. However, these services are challenged by various factors. This study seeks to delve into the cultural, institutional, and professional barriers that impede the efficacy of these services. The research design employed a qualitative approach, using semi-structured interviews with university counsellors and administrative personnel and document analysis to gather data. The study's findings reveal that widespread cultural stigma, insufficient institutional resources, and limited professional development opportunities are significant hurdles to effective counselling. Furthermore, the study elucidates the adverse impact of unsupportive administrative policies on service provision. These challenges underscore the necessity for holistic strategies to enhance counselling services, such as increased institutional backing, enhanced counsellor training, and targeted awareness initiatives to combat stigma. Addressing these issues is imperative to foster a supportive environment that promotes student well-being and academic accomplishment. The implications of this study hold substantial significance for policymakers, university administrations, and mental health professionals striving to elevate the quality and accessibility of counselling services in higher education.

Abstract

Global issues such as the exploitation of women and the environment are exacerbated by patriarchy and capitalism, resulting in gender inequality and environmental degradation. Women play a crucial role in conservation, as seen in the Green Belt Movement in Kenya, the Chipko Movement in India, and the struggles of Dayak women in Indonesia. Ecofeminism integrates gender and environmental issues to promote equitable sustainability. This study examines the relationship between women and the environment from an ecofeminist perspective, focusing on patriarchal domination, women’s interaction with nature, and their traditional roles and ecological knowledge in environmental preservation. The research employs a literature review method, using credible journals, books, and reports to explore ecofeminism and women’s roles in conservation. The study focuses on identifying key themes related to gender and conservation, exploring diverse perspectives, and developing a conceptual framework for systematic analysis and logical conclusions. The findings show that ecofeminism critiques patriarchal structures that subordinate women and nature, often making them targets of exploitation. This approach promotes the integration of gender analysis in ecology for inclusive and sustainable development, emphasizing women’s crucial role as agents of change toward a more just world. Ecofeminism highlights women’s involvement in resource management, conservation leadership, and their role as key actors in environmental justice and gender-sensitive policy-making. This study contributes by emphasizing the importance of the ecofeminist perspective in critiquing patriarchy, integrating gender analysis in ecology, and recognizing women as agents of change in resource management, conservation leadership, and the formulation of inclusive, gender-sensitive environmental policies for sustainable development.
