Abstract

This research and development aim to determine: (1) the procedure of developing educational poster media for disaster preparedness for elementary schools; (2) the feasibility level of developing disaster preparedness educational poster media for elementary school students. This research was included in Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE development model developed by Dick & Carry (1996). Researchers limit the five stages to 4 stages of research steps carried out including: (1) the analysis stage, (2) the design stage, (3) the development stage, (4) the implementation stage. The product of this research has been validated by 5 experts consisting of media experts, material experts, and linguists and conducted a small-scale FGD (Focus Group Discussion) with several students from Sebelas Maret University. The results showed that: (1) Disaster preparedness educational poster media for elementary schools had been developed through 4 stages of the ADDIE development model developed by Dick & Carey; (2) the results of the media expert's assessment obtained an average of 4.8 with the "Very Valid" category, the assessment of the material expert obtained an average of 5 with the "Very Valid" category, and the assessment of the linguist obtained an average of 4.68 with "Very Valid" category.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) describe the implementation of the school literacy movement at SDN 1 Jatigunung for the 2019/2020 academic year, (2) determine students' reading skills through the implementation of the school literacy movement at SDN 1 Jatigunung for the 2019/2020 academic year, ( 3) find out the obstacles and solutions in the implementation of the school literacy movement. This research applied qualitative descriptive method. The subjects of this study were 1 school principal, 1 teacher, 33 students, and 2 parents of SDN 1 Jatigunung students. Student and parent subjects were selected by purposive sampling. Data collection techniques include documentation and observation of GLS implementation, and interviews. The results obtained in this study are: 1) The implementation of the school literacy movement at SDN 1 Jatigunung was good. The teacher has implemented 3 stages, namely: habituation, development, and learning; 2) students' reading skills, especially in grade III 70%, were fluent in reading. Through the school literacy movement, teachers have invited their students to always get used to reading. And for students who still have difficulty in reading, the teacher makes slow reading service program; 3) An obstacle in the implementation of the school literacy movement is the lack of supply of book collections in the library so that schools are trying to use BOS to help increase the collection of library books.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan proses pembelajaran menyimak ceritapada pembelajaran tematik dengan menggunakan media wayang kartun untuk siswa kelasrendah, mendeskripsikan kemampuan siswa kelas rendah dalam menyimak cerita padapembelajaran tematik dengan menggunakan media wayang kartun, dan menjelaskan manfaatpenggunaan media wayang kartun dalam pembelajaran menyimak cerita siswa kelas rendah.Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data denganmenggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MasjidAt-Taqwa, Dusun Wetih, Desa Purwoasri. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa sekolah dasar kelasrendah yang masih berdomisili di sana. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah,observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang telah digunakan dalampenelitian ini dengan menggunakan model Miles and Huberman. Hasil penelitian ini, bahwaproses pembelajaran materi cerita ini dengan penggunaan media wayang kartun dapatmemberikan suasana belajar yang inovatif, menyenangkan, dan mampu menciptakanpartisipasi aktif siswa kelas rendah selama proses pembelajaran. Kemampuan menyimak siswasangat baik, dibuktikan siswa mampu menjawab dengan tepat 10 pertanyaan yang diberikan.Media wayang kartun dapat meningkatkan imajinasi, minat, motivasi, ketertarikan dankonsentrasi siswa kelas rendah dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetuhi penggunaan WhatsApp dalam kegiatanbelajar mengajar, untuk mengetauhi pembelajaran melalui grup Whatsapp dan untukmengtauhi penggunaan aplikasi WhatsApp dapat berdampak paada kompetensi belaajar siswa.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian dalah penelitian kualitatif dengan bentuk studikasus, yaitu suatu penelitian yang menekankan pada aspe pemahaman secara mendalam padasuatu permasalahan serta penelitian melakukan eksplorasi secara mendalam terhadapprogram; proses dan aktivitas. Subjek penelitian guru dan siswa kelas V SDN 2 Ploso Pacitan.Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisisdata yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah menggunakan analisis data di lapangan modelMiles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian ini mnunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran menggunakanWhatsApp tidk efektif dikarenakan kendala dari pihak guru serta siswanya. Mulai daripengusaha teknologi yang kurang oleh guru, orang tua dan siswa. Siswa tidak memilikihandphone sendiri yang mengakibatkan tidak efektif pada pembelajaran. Dampak kompetensisiswa menurun dilihat dari respon saat pembelajaran berlangsung.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) learning science class IV using miniature media at SDN 2 Sidomulyo; (2) the understanding of fourth-grade students of SDN 2 Sidomulyo using miniature media in science learning. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this study were selected by purposive sampling on the fourth-grade student of SDN 2 Sidomulyo. The object of this research is a miniature learning media in the fourth-grade science subject at SDN 2 Sidomulyo. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, documentation, and tests. The test is used to analyze student's understanding of science lessons. The validity of the data uses triangulation of sources, then data analysis uses the Miles and Huberman model which includes data reduction, data presentation, conclusions, and verification. The results of the study show that 1) the learning process using miniature media is very helpful for students in accepting the material given because they are actively involved in learning. 2) of 10 students in grade IV SDN 2 Sidomulyo have two levels of understanding, namely high (90%) and medium (10%).
