Abstract

Coconut plantation in South Borneo had a total area of 30,513 ha with 26,633 tons of production result in the year of 2016. But South Borneo is still limited in the utilization of fruit part and leaf, whereas the coconut wood then was often used for construction material. The level of needs for coconut wood material in the industrial world were greatly increased. Indonesia is one of the exporter of coconut wood material into other countries. To determine good quality woods for best quality materials, control for the full process was necessary in order for the product to be ready to use. The visual determination of quality level (grading) for coconut wood need to be automated, with the result that could be used for determination of suitable material for furniture as well as building construction and deacrese the dependency for manual grader. This research produced the proposed enhancement methode for quality image recognition in a visual manner for coconut wood, Genetic Algorithm, that could obtain the necessary accuracy for the quality determination of coconut wood. The benefits of this research was to support coconut plantation on South Borneo in producing coconut wood material as one of the material industry commodities.

Abstract

Water is one of the elements forming the fresh concrete mix is crucial. Therefore, SNI 03-2847-2002 arranged that water can be used as concrete mix is water that qualifies as drinking water. However, with abundant water reserves near the project site, implementers often take water in the environment to be used as a mixture of concrete. Notwithstanding this water use water that meets the requirements. Therefore it is important to know how to influence the use of this water when used as an ingredient in the concrete. The water used in this study originated from PDAM, brackish estuary area Barito, Peat in the area Sambang Lihum, Martapura River, Polder Alabio, and wells in the area Banjarbaru. Concrete will be tested for compressive strength at 28 and 56 days.The test specimen cube measuring 50 mm and standard cylinders made respectively of 36 pieces. 18 fruits tested at 28 days and the remaining 18 units were tested at the age of 56 days. The test specimen made of compressive strength with maximum load parameters or until the concrete collapse.Specimens with water sourced from PDAM  and from the river has over 25 MPa compressive strength. Whereas specimens with different water source does not reach the compressive strength. Even with the use of brackish water, compressive strength was not achieved until 10 Mpa. Keywords: concrete compressive strength, water brackish water and peat

Abstract

Gedung Pendopo Mahligai Iman Kabupaten Tanah Bumbu di Batulicin yang memiliki konstruksi 2 lantai didesain dengan fungsi sebagai kantor dan aula pertemuan. Diduga telah terjadi kegagalan struktur  karena terasa gerakan pada saat penggunaan dalam kondisi beban penuh. Untuk itu dilakukan penyelidikan, untuk kekuatan beton dengan hammer test, deformasi dengan theodolite dan retak dengan mikroskop digital pembesaran 200x. Setelah penyelidikan, dilanjutkan dengan permodelan menggunakan perangkat lunak sehingga dapat diambil kesimpulan kondisi penyebab terjadinya kegagalan. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa kuat tekan kolom beton memiliki kekuatan sebesar 45MPa serta balok dan plat sebesar 26MPa. Hasil analisa menunjukkan perilaku penurunan plat terbesar adalah 76mm. Pengujian retak struktur pada balok-balok penopang kubah menunjukkan adanya kegagalan struktur dengan beban konstruksi yang berlebih (retak struktural >3mm dengan jumlah yang banyak). Melalui permodelan diperoleh untuk elemen plat mengalami perilaku melendut/deformasi yang besar diprakirakan akibat kesalahan detailing plat, gambar kerja diameter yang 100 mm namun akibat kurangnya pembesian hanya memiliki kekuatan setara dengan diameter 60 mm. Ukuran balok lapangan juga sangat tidak memenuhi syarat yang mana seharusnya adalah 400/300.Dapat disimpulkan bahwa bangunan mengalami degradasi kemampuan. Rekomendasi yang diberikan adalah dilakukan perbaikan pada konstruksi bangunan dengan berbagai metode  perbaikan (retrofitting) beton seperti penggunaan CFR (carbon fibre reionforced), Jacketing pada kolom dan Shortcrete grouting mortar untuk retak yang terjadi. Harus ada maintenance (perawatan) konstruksi bangunan secara periodik agar konstruksi tetap aman dan nyaman untuk dipergunakan oleh publik.

Abstract

E-learning is very potential to make learning process more effective because student chance to have an interaction with lecturers, classmate, or lecture material is wider. Student can communicates with lecturer anytime by e-mail. Lecturer does. The communication can be closed  one by one, or by public on billboard. The way of communication can be choiced, synchronus or asynchronus. With e-Learning, student can learns although he does not present at class physically. Learning process goes by interaction student and lecture materials that avaiable and can be accessed via internet. The flexibility of learning activity is happened by used of computer and internet technology. On this case, to join with e-learning, spesial software does not added for computer used. The main thing is connected to internet
