Abstract

Pengenalan bahasa Inggris sedini mungkin merupakan hal yang sangat penting sehingga perlu adanya kesadaran untuk guru agar lebih dapat menciptakan teknik, metode, dan model pembelajaran yang menarik dan bisa diaplikasikan oleh anak usia dini di dalam kegiatan mereka sehari-hari sehingga anak usia dini tidak berpikir bahwa belajar bahasa Inggris adalah hal yang membebani mereka justru menjadi hal yang menyenangkan untuk mereka. Ini menjadi pertimbangan pengabdi untuk membuat pembelajaran bahasa Inggris anak usia dini atau TK menjadi hal yang menyenangkan dan atraktif dengan model pembelajaran Total Physical Response (TPR) dan Repetition menggunakan nyanyian dan gerak tubuh. Target luaran pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah penerapan metode yang menyenangkan dan bisa ditiru oleh orang tua di rumah dalam pengenalan bahasa Inggris untuk anak usia dini yakni metode Total Physical Response dan Repetition serta peningkatan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris untuk anak usia dini yang dilakukan oleh guru dengan metode Total Physical Response dan Repetition.

Abstract

Background. The use of AI chatbots in language learning has gained popularity due to their accessibility and ability to provide interactive practice. However, concerns regarding their effectiveness in improving language skills and the potential cognitive load they place on learners remain underexplored. With the increasing integration of AI in education, understanding how these tools impact language acquisition is critical for optimizing learning outcomes. Purpose. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of AI chatbots in language learning and analyze the cognitive load experienced by learners during chatbot interactions. Method. A mixed-methods approach was used, combining quantitative assessments of language proficiency before and after using an AI chatbot for a three-week period, with qualitative interviews to assess learner perceptions of cognitive load. Participants included 60 university students learning a new language. Results. The results indicate that AI chatbots significantly improved language skills, particularly in conversational fluency and vocabulary acquisition. However, a moderate level of cognitive load was reported by learners, primarily due to the need to simultaneously engage in real-time conversation and process feedback. While the cognitive load was not overwhelming, it varied based on individual learner characteristics, such as prior language proficiency and familiarity with AI tools. Conclusion. In conclusion, AI chatbots offer an effective method for enhancing language learning, particularly in improving fluency and vocabulary. However, managing cognitive load is crucial to maximizing their educational potential. Further research is recommended to explore adaptive chatbot designs that can tailor interactions to individual learner needs.

Abstract

This research described the register forms and functions in animal feed buying and selling activities in Wonosobo Central Market and their uses as a learning reference for the Indonesian negotiation text materials. This is a descriptive-qualitative research. The data in this research were utterances containing registers obtained from the animal feed buying and selling activities in Wonosobo Central Market. Based on the research results, there were 28 registers used in animal feed buying and selling activities in Wonosobo Central Market. Those registers were in the form of words, phrases, abbreviations, and acronyms. The registers were 12 root words, 5 words with affix, 3 compound words, 1 repeated word, 1 phrase, 5 abbreviations, and 1 acronym. Each register has a special meaning and it is only known in animal feed buying and selling activities. The obtained data might be used in the negotiation text learning for the X grade students of Senior High School on Basic Competency (Kompetensi Dasar) 3.0 which evaluates the submission, offering, and agreement in spoken and written negotiation texts

Abstract

A fusion of traditional and modern culture can produce a new mood in entertainment. One of the entertainment can be heard in music. As we all know, music is a form of expression that may introduce a culture. This research aimed to look at the Indonesian cultural elements in Weird Genius's song "Lathi" from various perspectives. The song "Lathi" was picked due to its widespread popularity in Indonesia, particularly on Tik Tok and Instagram. It was featured in a cover video and the Lathi Challenge, making it one of the most sought-after songs in 2020. The research outcome, a descriptive qualitative method using content analysis and semiotic approach, was employed to examine each component of the data from this song. The study's main focus was the visual, verbal, and instrumental analyses. The study's outcomes revealed a variety of cultural components in the song "Lathi" that demonstrated the song's meaning or message, especially in terms of Javanese culture.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan Artificial Intelligence AI dalam dunia pendidikan terkadang menjadi polemik bagi para guru. Beberapa guru, baik guru maupun dosen, melarang penggunaan AI oleh siswanya di kelas karena beberapa alasan, antara lain kekhawatiran guru bahwa AI dapat membuat siswanya terlalu malas untuk berpikir dan menurunkan kreativitas serta kemampuan berpikir kritis. Peneliti berasumsi jika AI digunakan secara tepat dan bijaksana di kelas maka dapat membantu meningkatkan kemampuan siswa. Penelitian ini mengamati efektivitas penggunaan AI untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara dan menulis siswa pada kelas Bahasa Inggris ESP (English for Spesifik Purpose) di Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Semarang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah penggunaan AI dalam pembelajaran dapat meningkatkan keterampilan dan pemahaman bahasa Inggris mahasiswa program sarjana Psikologi khususnya pada keterampilan berbicara dan keterampilan menulis, serta untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa terhadap efektivitas penggunaan AI dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris di kelas. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis kinerja akademik. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi pada literatur tentang pengajaran dan pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris ESP dengan metode kreatif seperti penerapan AI. Dalam dunia pendidikan psikologi, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat membantu dalam hal kebijakan penggunaan AI dalam pembelajaran yang fokus pada peningkatan kemampuan siswa dengan dukungan IT.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to examine the potential of technology in facilitating collaborative learning in a multicultural classroom setting at SMP 11 Jakarta. Given the culturally diverse student backgrounds, this research is concerned with the ways in which technology can facilitate enhanced interaction and collaboration among students from different cultural backgrounds. This research employs a qualitative approach utilising a case study methodology to gain comprehensive insights into the experiences and perceptions of students and teachers regarding the utilisation of technology in collaborative learning. The data were gathered via in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and the examination of pertinent documents. The findings demonstrate that technology not only facilitates communication between students but also fosters a more inclusive and collaborative learning environment. However, there are certain challenges associated with the implementation of technology, particularly with regard to students' digital literacy and the disparity in technology infrastructure across different settings.

Abstract

Proyek ini berfokus pada implementasi program pelatihan bahasa Inggris untuk siswa di Sekolah Dasar Satit Phatnawitya, kelas 4 di Thailand. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Inggris para pelajar dengan memberikan pelajaran yang terstruktur dan menarik yang sesuai dengan tingkat pendidikan dan kebutuhan bahasa mereka. Program ini mengintegrasikan berbagai metodologi pengajaran, termasuk kegiatan interaktif, sumber daya multimedia, dan praktik percakapan, untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang dinamis. Penekanan khusus diberikan pada pengembangan keterampilan bahasa inti seperti mendengarkan, berbicara, membaca, dan menulis sambil menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri dalam menggunakan bahasa Inggris dalam situasi kehidupan nyata. Keterlibatan instruktur yang terlatih, bersama dengan penilaian dan umpan balik yang berkelanjutan, memastikan bahwa siswa secara progresif meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa mereka. Dengan menumbuhkan fondasi yang kuat dalam bahasa Inggris, inisiatif ini mendukung perkembangan kognitif siswa secara keseluruhan dan meningkatkan kemampuan mereka untuk berkomunikasi secara efektif dalam berbagai konteks.

Abstract

Kelurahan Bulusan adalah salah satu dari 12 kelurahan yang ada di Kematan Tembalang. Kelurahan ini memiliki 35 Rukun Tetangga & 8 Rukun Warga. Di Kelurahan Bulusan banyak terdapat UMKM, dimana dari UMKM yang ada tidak semua bisa menerapkan Harga Pokok Penjualan. Harga pokok barang sangat penting bagi UMKM , karena nantinya ini berisikan informasi yang bisa memberikan bantuan bagi para pemilik UMKM untuk menentukan nilai atau value dari bisnis tersebut. Tidak jarang kegagalan terjadi karena UMKM tidak bisa menyimpan catatan transaksi dan harga yang mereka miliki. Peserta yang mengikuti Pengabdian Kepada masyarakat sejumlah 25 UMKM dengan metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat adalah dengan melalui penyuluhan dan pelatihan perhitungan HPP dengan obyek UMKM yang dimiliki peserta pengabdian Masyarakat. Peserta pemilik UMKM yang berada di kelurahan Bulusan yang mengikuti penyuluhan dan pelatihan Perhitungan Harga Pokok Penjualan ( HPP ) sehingga mereka bisa menentukan HPP serta menentukan harga jual. Dengan bisa membuat cairan pembersih lantai ini ibu rumah tangga bisa mendapatkan tambahan pendapatan.

Abstract

Digital storytelling has emerged as a powerful pedagogical and social tool, enabling marginalized youth to articulate their experiences, build digital literacy, and foster a sense of belonging in increasingly mediated societies. Social exclusion continues to affect vulnerable groups by limiting their opportunities for participation and self-expression, which in turn impacts personal identity and community integration. This study aims to explore how digital storytelling can be employed as an inclusive practice to promote voice, agency, and connection among marginalized youth. A qualitative research design was adopted, using a multiple case study approach with 45 participants from diverse disadvantaged backgrounds, including urban slum communities and rural low-income settings. Data were collected through participatory workshops, semi-structured interviews, and observation, and analyzed thematically. Findings reveal that the process of creating and sharing digital stories enables participants to express personal narratives, develop confidence, enhance collaborative skills, and foster empathy within their peer networks. The study concludes that digital storytelling, when designed as a participatory and reflective practice, can contribute significantly to social inclusion by strengthening the visibility, resilience, and sense of belonging of marginalized youth. The study highlights the need for educators and community organizations to integrate digital storytelling into inclusive educational and community development strategies.

Abstract

The rapid growth of digital technology is reshaping how young people learn, communicate, and participate in civic life. Guided by Ribble’s digital citizenship framework and Choi’s multidimensional model, this study examines the level of digital citizenship literacy among Indonesian high school students. It proposes a practical reinforcement model for civic education, using a quantitative, descriptive design and a cross-sectional survey. Data were collected from 40 eleventh-grade students using a validated 19-item questionnaire covering four dimensions: digital awareness, digital ethics, digital social responsibility, and digital civic participation. Results show a high overall literacy level (86.94%), with students demonstrating strong social responsibility and civic participation but lower critical awareness of digital information. Significant correlations among dimensions indicate that ethical awareness helps shape responsible civic engagement. Based on these findings, a Two-Phase Reinforcement Model was developed, emphasizing value exploration and critical reflection. This model offers a relevant approach for strengthening civic education in Indonesia’s transition toward a human-centered digital.
