Abstract

Goldilocks and The Bear is a novel transformed from The Story of the Three Bears and Aladdin and Magic Lamp fairy tales. The novel presents a non-linear plot since it mixed up the plot and characters from those fairy tales as its hypo-grams. The process of the mixture is surely not merely innovation, but it has a politic code appeared in it. This study is investigating the transformation the fairy tales into the novel, and entails the political code behind it. Hutcheon’s concept of poetics and politics of postmodernism is used to display the novel through its double sides; its structure (as well as its contexts) and ideological sphere. This study suggests that the novel is using and distorting in the fairy tales through the women characters; Goldilocks named Victoria, a new women character Safiyya, Bear male as Ramsey as representation of white male, and Aladdin as dark-skinned man. The composition of the characters actually represented political codes of gender and white supremacy in Western narrative. It is legitimating and subverting the narrative representation of woman and dark skinned people who used to be placed as marginal people in the western narrative. The novel, reversaly, raised other possibility that those peripheral characters (women and blacks) can be competed with central character (men and whites). The narrative text of Goldilocks and the Bear displayed the deconstruction of women and black characters who used to be depicted in negative label in literature and cultural product, especially in Western representation.

Abstract

Timpik Village is the largest village in Susukan District, boasting beautiful views of rice fields and hills, along with fertile soil. In addition to its abundant natural resources, it also boasts a vibrant human population dedicated to advancing its village. The diverse culture and arts contribute to the development of the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis). Timpik Village, in pioneering its tourism development, focuses on the arts. The artistic culture of Timpik Village residents serves as both social capital and a tourism vehicle. The Pokdarwis serves as a leading driver for the development of the village's potential. The arts and culture it possesses serve as a source of local wisdom that must be preserved, while simultaneously upholding the mission of cultural preservation. The work program design serves as a guideline for realizing Timpik Tourism Village as a tourism village based on local cultural wisdom. Pokdarwis is able to manage existing tourism in the village, create, develop, and even create tourist destinations.

Abstract

The development of tourism areas is an option that is expected to strengthen both economic potential and conservation efforts. The development of tourism areas is carried out through an integrated transformation of various natural and biological opportunities and assets. All of this requires the ability of the human resources in it. Therefore, this community service program is very much needed to optimize the Timpik Village Pokadarwis in increasing its potential as a tourist village area. Timpik Village is the largest village in Susukan District with beautiful natural panoramas of rice fields and hills with fertile soil types. In addition to potential natural resources, there are also human resources who have a high spirit to advance their village. The various cultures and arts that already exist add their own local wisdom value with the formation of the Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis). However, behind all that, Pokdarwis has not been able to develop the existing tourism potential. Therefore, various mentoring actions are needed in creating a profile of the arts and culture owned by Timpik Village as local wisdom, optimizing the management of village social media, optimizing the use of tourist attractions, and developing the results and marketing of Timpik Village UMKM products.
