Abstract

Abstract

Pandemic has impacted many areas of life and led to the development of much new behaviour due to people's efforts to adapt, including adaptation in the workplace. The WFO (Work from Office) and WFH (Work from Home) rules will be enforced during the Covid-19, and this is one of the adaptive steps taken. Some employees are required to work from the office, while others are allowed to work from home under this rule. The author aimed to investigate the development of a microcontroller-based dynamic archive security system to address archive security during the WFH and WFO periods. With security system, the goal was to develop security tools that can serve two functions simultaneously, namely protecting data from loss while making it easier for workers to access the dynamic archives they need. This research was conducted by using research and development methods and the object of research was education staff at the Faculty of Economics, UNNES, using research and development strategies, this study succeeded in making a Dynamic Archive Security System product based on Biometric System Identification. Suggestions in this research on security systems can also be added with variations with RFID cards or NFC cards to implement various security systems.

Abstract

Internet finance and big data technology are booming in the world. The launch of peer to peer (P2P) lending platforms is a sign and a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to easily increase their capital injection. However, this great opportunity has a high risk of impacting the sustainability and security development of the platform. One way to minimize loan risk is to predict the possibility of loan default. Hence, this study aims to find the best predictive model for predicting loan default of P2P Lending Club dataset. An improved light gradient boosting machine (LightGBM) via features selection by using swarm algorithms i.e. Ant colony optimization (ACO) and bee colony optimization (BCO) to the prediction analysis process. The best feature selection process is selected 6 out of 18 features. The synthetic minority oversampling technique (SMOTE) method is also provided to solve the unbalance class problem in the dataset, then a series of operations such as data cleaning and dimension reduction are performed. The experimental results prove that the LightGBM algorithm has been successfully improved. This success is shown by the prediction accuracy of LightGBM+ACO is 95.64%, LighGBM+BCO is 94.70% and LightGBM is 94.38%. This success also demonstrates outstanding performance in predicting loan default and strong generalizations.

Abstract

The laboratory is a place to conduct scientific research, experiments, measurements, or scientific training. FMIPA UNNES has several laboratories distributed in each department to support student lectures. Through the implementation of practicum in the laboratory, students are expected to be able to find a concept, foster scientific attitudes, and critical thinking skills. Good laboratory management is expected to be able to utilize laboratory resources effectively and efficiently. Laboratory equipment must be ensured to function properly and be ready to be used for practicum. To support this, it is necessary to monitor the condition of the equipment and immediately repair the equipment if any damage is found. The current obstacle is monitoring tool repairs manually, so there are shortcomings such as poor documentation, and equipment conditions that cannot be monitored online. In this study, an information system for monitoring the maintenance of laboratory equipment in the departments in the FMIPA UNNES environment will be built. The research method begins with a literature study, initial data collection and observation, EAP-based system design, system testing, system analysis, and system evaluation. This study uses the SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) approach which is used to develop a product for the Monitoring Information System for the Maintenance of Laboratory Equipment. Testing is done using black box testing. From the results of development and testing, it can be concluded that the system can be used to simplify the process of managing laboratory equipment with a UAT value of 88% suitable for use.

Abstract

Information related to student services in higher education must be produced and disseminated in various forms. Covid-19 pandemic, student services with a remote model related to this question and answer become very important. To carry out this automation process, the advanced cosine similarity method is used to check the similarity of the questions to the database and statistics to calculate the similarity value of each word. The proposed paper proceeds with three phases. The first stage to solve this problem is the data processed in question; the professional next step is word insertion. It converts alphanumeric words to vector format. Each word is a vector that represents a point in space with a certain dimension. The recommended advanced cosine similarity data still must be analyzed into a statistical approach. We will measure accuracy to get results so that optimal results and answers are obtained, research procedures are carried out based on literature study, initial data collection and observation, system development, system testing, system analysis, and system evaluation. This research implemented in universities with student chat automation applications providing an accuracy 83.90% given by natural language question answering system (NLQAS) so that it can improve excellent service in universities.

Abstract

The research specifically aims to create an application of scientific work independence instruments through Science Integrated Learning (SIL) for various education levels (primary, secondary, tertiary). The SIL model is applied in learning to find specific indicators for scientific work independence following students' development. This study applied the Research and Development methodology. Product testing was conducted in elementary schools, junior high schools, senior high schools, and universities. Based on the research results, SIL V1.0 App is a software developed based on mobile apps in the form of an Android application that is installable on a device with Android OS as the operating system. The application is named SIL V1.0 Apps, an acronym for Science Integrated Learning Application. The scientific work independence instrument developed by referring to Piaget's theory has a characteristic where the level of independence at each stage of scientific work is based on the development of children's learning psychology. Scientific work independence application at various education levels, which refers to Piaget's Theory, has more precise boundaries because it is adjusted to children's psychological development. The difference in learning independence level occurs because of the age difference.

Abstract

This study presents an enhanced recommender system tailored for e-commerce platforms specializing in cosmetic products. Traditional recommender systems often need help providing accurate and personalized recommendations due to the complexity and subjectivity inherent in cosmetic preferences. In e-commerce, personalized product recommendations are crucial to improving user engagement and driving sales. This paper presents an innovative approach to enhance recommendation systems by leveraging neural network collaborative filtering techniques for the cosmetic product domain. The proposed method integrates neural networks into collaborative filtering, namely neural network collaborative filtering with improved preprocessing step. To validate the effectiveness of our proposed system, extensive experiments were conducted using real-world e-commerce cosmetic datasets "eCommerce Event History in Cosmetics Shop".   Additionally, we evaluate the system's performance using historical e-commerce event data in cosmetics stores, demonstrating the system's effectiveness with mean reciprocal ratings (MRR) and normalized discount cumulative gain (NDCG). Evaluation Metrics of MRR and NDCG in this study got 0.56 and 0.60, respectively, with a split of the data: 70% train data, 15% validation data, and 15% test data. This study obtained better evaluation metrics than the previous study, which had an MRR of 0.31 and NDGC of 0.32. Furthermore, this model exhibits robustness against data sparsity and cold-start problems commonly encountered in e-commerce platforms. This research advances knowledge of recommendation systems and paves the way for more personalized and efficient online shopping experiences.
