Abstract

Ear is one of the most important organ sense and play a big role in everyday life. Ear also has a main function as a sense of hearing which is indispensable in facilitating communication between humans, the frequency of sound humans can hear is between 20-20,000 Hz. According to World Health Organization (WHO), there are approximately 360 million (5.3%) people in the world who have hearing loss with 328 million (91%) happen on adults (183 million men and 145 million women) and 32 million (9%) cases happen on children. Given the importance of ear function, extra attention on caring is needed for ear health and hearing. Cleaning the ears must be done in the right way so that there are no accidents that will end up with irritation of the inside part of the ear. Most people clean their ears using cotton buds which will result an injury to the ear. There are commands in Islam regarding the importance of keeping the ears clean and also taking care of hearing.

Abstract

Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) is a group of eye and vision-related symptoms caused by prolonged use of computers, tablets, e-readers and mobile phones that cause increased stress on near vision. In the Covid-19 pandemic situation, a Muslim must make various efforts to prevent the spread of the plague. Among the efforts is to keep a distance, one example is Distance Learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of distance learning on CVS complaints in YARSI University Medical Faculty students Batch 2020 and its review according to Islamic view. The type of research is descriptive observational with a cross-sectional research design. Questionnaires are distributed via google form. The research was conducted on YARSI University Medical Faculty Students Class 2020 with a total sample of 137 respondents. Data analysis was carried out univariately using SPSS ver. 25. Based on the results of the study, distance learning has an effect on CVS complaints in YARSI University Medical Faculty Students Class 2020. There is an increase in the incidence of CVS when doing distance learning based on gender, computer use, distance learning duration 6 hours a day, blinking frequency 10 times/minute, bad lighting, antiglare use, eye-to-computer distance 50 cm, monitor position above eyes, manual brightness adjustment, and negative polarity. To conclude, there is influence from distance learning on CVS complaints based on individual factors, environmental factors, and computer factors.

Abstract

Tidur merupakan bentuk fisiologis tubuh dan apabila terganggu dapat berisiko pada kesehatan seseorang. Salah satu yang dapat mempengaruhi kualitas tidur adalah durasi tidur. Mahasiswa merupakan kelompok yang berisiko memiliki durasi tidur yang kurang. Tidur yang kurang pada mahasiswa dapat berpengaruh ke kestabilan emosi sehingga menganggu proses belajar mereka selama perkuliahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyelidiki pengaruh perubahan durasi tidur terhadap kestabilan emosi mahasiswa kedokteran di Universitas YARSI angkatan 2020 dan 2021 selama pembelajaran hybrid. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan data primer. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa kedokteran di Univesitas YARSI angkatan 2020 dan 2021 dengan ukuran 83 orang. Cara penetapan sampel menggunakan teknik probability sampling. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan uji PSQI (Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index) dan ERQ (Emotion Regulation Questionnaire) pada sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara perubahan durasi tidur terhadap kestabilan emosi dengan p-value 0,030 (p<0,05) dengan korelasi koefisien sebesar -0,238 yang menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi perubahan kualitas tidur maka semakin rendah kestabilan emosinya dan sebaliknya. Terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara perubahan durasi tidur terhadap kestabilan emosi. Islam mengajarkan umatnya untuk menjaga kesehatan tubuh dengan istirahat yang cukup dan menjaga kesehatan tubuh dengan istirahat yang cukup dan menjaga kestabilan emosi.
