Abstract

Various types of models student-centered learning has increase for this time. In addition to appropriate learning models, use media for learning is expected to improve student achievement. The purpose of this research is to determine whether the learning achievement student by using media power point in cooperative learning NHT better than just using cooperative learning NHT without media on the subject of hydrocarbons. The study population was the whole class X SMA Teladan with totaling 3 class. Samples were taken at random as much as 2 class and consists of 72 students. The data of student achievement in Chemistry obtained by providing multiple-choice test with 20 questions. Hypothesis testing is done right part t-test at a significance level of = 0.05. Results of data analysis obtained by the average value of the students taught using media power point and a model cooperative pembelajran NHT (class eksperimen1) was 72.08 ± 13.80 with an increase of 56.67%, while the average value of the students taught by implementing cooperative learning NHT (class eksperimen2) was 65.28 ± 9.41 to 40.56% increase. The results showed that an treatment by using media power point on cooperative learning model NHT better than the treatment only implement cooperative learning model NHT to improve student’s achievement in Chemistry, with t-test (2.739) > t table (1.66883) for α = 0.05 and df = 68.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the characteristics of hydrocarbon chemicals in the Merdeka curriculum and curriculum 13, as well as explore variations of hydrocarbon materials taught by teachers in various schools under the Merdeka Curriculum. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative through survey methods. Respondents in this study involved 24 chemistry teachers who worked in DKI Jakarta and Yogyakarta. The selection of respondents was random. The results of this study show that there are differences in the characteristics of hydrocarbon materials taught in the 2013 curriculum and the Merdeka curriculum. In the Merdeka curriculum, most chemistry teachers still do not differ much from each other even though they have been given freedom in teaching, with only slight variations in the selection of the material. Teachers consider materials in hydrocarbon topics very important and must be taught thoroughly because they will be useful in learning the next topic. In making decisions to teach hydrocarbon material, teachers should increase their understanding of learning objectives, student heterogeneity, limited reference sources, school facilities, and students' initial knowledge.

Abstract

This community service aims to provide support and training to PKK women on Tidung Island. Service implementation is carried out using presentations, interactive discussions, and direct practice to improve the village's capacity and creativity. The objectives to be achieved by this activity are to increase knowledge about the effects of careless disposal of used cooking oil waste and to improve skills in handling used cooking oil so that it is a valuable useful treatment. Used cooking oil is waste cooking oil that has been used many times and contains carcinogenic compounds that are difficult to decompose. Both of these properties are dangerous to health and the environment if used cooking oil is consumed and discharged into the environment without change. To achieve this goal, the method that will be used in this activity is to provide health education on the effects of careless disposal of used cooking oil waste and subsequent processing practices using cooking oil into candles. The outcome of undertaking this activity is an increased understanding of the impact of used cooking oil waste on health and the environment. In addition, you can also take advantage of used cooking oil scraps to make candles.

Abstract

The development of technology-based learning platforms and media has been widely carried out; however, most of efforts primarily focus on increasing student interest, while less attention is given to enhancing skills and scientific thinking processes. The purpose of this research was to develop a technology – based learning media, namely a Virtual Reality (VR) laboratory integrated with Artificial Intelligence (AI) to support students’ scientific thinking skills and processes. The AI - integrated VR laboratory was specifically  developed for the implementation of acid-base titration practicums. The research followed the ADDIE development model. During the implementation phase, the product was tested on 31 students from Chemistry Education Study Program at UKI, selected using a random sampling technique. Data collection, particularly for product evaluation, was conducted using a non-test instrument in the form of a Likert scale questionnaire. The instrument consisted of indicators of usefulness, efficiency, and interest which were share via Google Form link. Before being distributed to student, the instrument has been validated by an expert validator with a background in chemistry learning media. The results of the analysis indicated that the AI-integrated VR laboratory received positive response from students with a percentage level of 80.79% for the usefulness indicator, 77.06% for the efficiency indicator, and 79,45% for the interest indicator. Therefore, the result of the development of VR laboratory integrated with AI can be considered as a viable alternative learning media for conducting acid-base titration practicum.
