Abstract

Alternative energy sources and energy storage play an important role in maintaining and providing energy. The application of indoor photovoltaic is one alternative in energy management using artificial light sources. However, one of the main obstacles faced in the operation of photovoltaic panels is the significant problem of low electrical efficiency in photovoltaic cells. The purpose of this research is to find out the performance of indoor photovoltaic with variations of LED and CFL lamps with a capacity of 5W and 10W, as well as the variation of the given distance which is 25 cm and 30 cm. The research method used is to test the temperature sensor using the MAX 6675 sensor and the voltage and current sensor using the MAX471 sensor. The light intensity produced by the lamp is read by the sensor. The electricity produced by photovoltaic is stored in the battery. The results read by the sensors are displayed on the serial monitor. The results of the research show that increasing the distance between the lamp and the light field results in a decrease in light intensity. This can be seen in the CFL lamp with a longer distance between the light source and the solar cell module which results in the light intensity of the 5W 30 cm CFL lamp being low. The decrease in the efficiency of photovoltaic systems in the room has an effect on the temperature that the increase in photovoltaic temperature causes a decrease in the efficiency of the current and voltage of the electricity output.

Abstract

The increasing consumption of fossil energy causes fossil energy reserves to become depleted and pollutants in the environment increase. One approach to decreasing reliance on fossil fuels is through the use of renewable energy sources. Hydrogen can serve as a substitute fuel option. One of the uses of hydrogen as a renewable fuel is as an addition to gasoline combustion engines. This study includes a review of previous research on the addition of HHO to gasoline engines on the parameters of power, torque, specific fuel consumption, thermal efficiency, and exhaust emissions. The results of a review of previous studies show that the addition of HHO to gasoline engines can increase engine output power, torque, and thermal efficiency and can reduce combustion exhaust emissions and the addition of hydrogen can reduce specific fuel consumption.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang kerap dihadapi para petani salah satunya adalah hama tikus yang menyebabkan kegagalan panen bagi para petani. Petani sudah berupaya mengurangi hama tikus dengan memasang perangkap menggunkaan racun dan penyengat listrik, akan tetapi upaya tersebut belum memberikan dampak yang signifkan dan tidak aman. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini untuk dapat membantu masyarakat mengenai program kerja sawah bebas hama, maka dibuat suatu sosialisasi yang merangkul komunitas tani untuk dapat mengaplikasikan alat pembasmi hama khususnya hama tikus kepada masyarakat Desa Delingan, Kabupaten Karanganyar. Metode yang digunakan adalah alat ini memiliki ketahanan baterai rata rata selama 25 jam yang bersumber dari energi matahari.  Alat pembasmi tikus ini kemudian menghasilkan gelombang ultrasonik yang berfungsi untuk mengganggu tikus – tikus yang ada di sawah. Hasil yang didapatkan, dalam waktu 3 minggu tikus yang berada di sawah mati terkena sengatan dari alat pembasmi tikus itu sebanyak 7 ekor. Dengan adanya alat pembasmi tikus menggunakan sumber energi matahari ini, petani tidak perlu khawatir mengenai banyaknya hama tikus dan tersengat listrik karena alat yang digunakan sangat aman.
