Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyse the significance of the effect of good corporate governance on firm value with return on assets as a moderating variable in manufacturing companies in the industrial sub sectors in the Indonesian Stock Exchange period 2015 - 2017. The population in this study are all companies manufacturing industrial sub sectors that have been listed or listed on the Indonesian Stock Exchange in a period 2015 - 2017 of 44 companies. The numbers of samples used was 12 companies, with the sampling technique using purposive sampling. Data collection techniques using documentation studies. Data analysis techniques used are classic assumption test, multiple linear regression analysis,t test, f test, coefficient of determination and absolute difference test. The results of study show that good corporate governance has a significant effect on the companies value of manufacturing sub industry companies. Return on assets does not have a significant effects on the companies value of manufacturing industry sub sector. Return on assets moderates the effects of good corporate governance on the companies value of manufacturing in the industrial sub sector.

Abstract

Integration of technology in the teaching and learning process brings innovation where a learning process can be conducted virtually despite time and place boundaries. Online learning as the integration of learning and technology is used as the primary strategy to continue the teaching and learning process due to the Covid-19 outbreak. This study aims to analyze student perceptions of online learning before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The results showed that the students had negative and positive perceptions of online learning before and during the pandemic. Before the pandemic, the students emphasized exploring the materials, while the students emphasized flexibility in learning during the pandemic. Meanwhile, negative perceptions are shown through the loss of direct communication between teachers and students. During the pandemic, students emphasized the flexibility aspect of the online learning mode. However, negative perceptions also emerged, namely the abundance of online tasks and the difficulties of using e-learning. Various challenges of online learning were also found during the pandemic compared to before the outbreak. For example in addition to inadequate internet connections and gadgets, anxiety problems due to the workload and less appropriate learning plan also arose. It can be seen that online learning before and during the outbreak experienced dynamics, so teachers and students must be encouraged to be more adaptive in dealing with changes in their learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan “Metode Impromptu Speaking terhadap keterampilan berbicara memperkenalkan diri dan orang lain” pada siswa kelas VII SMPN 3 Tangerang Selatan tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif dengan metodologi kuasi eksperimen. Populasinya adalah siswa kelas VII SMPN 3 Tangerang Selatan. Sampel terdiri dari 70 siswa yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling dan dibagi menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes lisan. Pre-test di awal, dan post-test di akhir pelajaran. T-test digunakan untuk menganalisis data dari pre-test dan post-test. Nilai pre-test dari kedua kelas menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol lebih rendah dari kelas eksperimen. Tetapi skor post-test menunjukkan bahwa kelas eksperimen mendapat skor yang jauh lebih tinggi dari pada kelas kontrol. Secara statistik, hasil sig dua sisi pada penelitian ini adalah p (0,001), lebih kecil dari 0,05. Artinya Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak, atau ada pengaruh penggunaan Metode Impromptu Speaking terhadap keterampilan berbicara siswa dalam memperkenalkan diri dan orang lain. Berdasarkan hasil uji besarnya efek Cohen yaitu 0,81, maka keefektifan metode Impromptu Speaking dalam penelitian ini dikategorikan 'sangat baik'. Hasilnya, metode Impromptu Speaking berpengaruh dalam mengembangkan kemampuan Berbicara siswa dalam memperkenalkan diri dan orang lain di kelas VII SMPN 3 Tangerang Selatan tahun pelajaran 2022/2023.

Abstract

The improvement of students' speaking skills requires students to communicate with the interlocutors interactively. In the context of globalization, social media have become a medium of communication that can enhance students' speaking skills. The present study investigated what previous research had concluded on the use of YouTube videos to enhance the development of students' speaking skills by adapting George's (2008) model of library research into a qualitative design. The study revealed that YouTube videos had been proven to give better exposure to the students' speaking aspects like pronunciation, structure, vocabulary, intonation, grammar, and fluency. However, the use of YouTube videos also poses challenges, such as unstable internet connection, loss of interaction with peers and teachers, low comprehension of the videos, unsuitable length of videos, students’ low readiness and autonomy, and discrepancy between the videos and the language learning goals. These findings imply that while YouTube videos can be helpful learning tools, the right strategies need to cope with the challenges.

Abstract

This study examined how Islam and Hinduism influence leadership practices in religion-based higher education institutions. Exploration studies were conducted in two areas, Tangerang and Bali. Eight participants were interviewed, including vice deans and heads of departments. The research findings revealed that cultural and spiritual values in leadership are deeply embedded in their character. The values, such as spirituality and trust, emerge as crucial essential traits within friendly relations. Likewise, leadership characteristics manifest in Hindu concepts that display religious values. Concepts such as Karmapala, Swadarma, and Karma Dharma Yoga strongly connect with Islamic values where being a leader is considered God's Trust (amanah) and fulfilling leadership responsibilities is considered an act of worship (Ibadah).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of digital marketing strategies through endorsement content on Instagram on increasing the Golden Black Coffee business, owned by Tasya Farasya. This study adopts the approach of media economic theory, social influence theory, and integrated marketing communications (IMC) to understand how promotional strategies can influence consumer behavior, especially among the younger generation. Research data was obtained through direct observation, interviews with the Golden Black Coffee marketing team, and collection of relevant documentation. KPI 5D students were selected as the target audience to understand the response to this marketing strategy. The results of the study show that Instagram as a social media platform makes a significant contribution to building brand awareness, increasing product appeal, and expanding market reach. Endorsement by Tasya Farasya has proven effective in creating emotional connections with consumers through an attractive visual approach and storytelling that is relevant to the lifestyle of the younger generation. The findings also show that the credibility and appeal of influencers play an important role in increasing trust in products and driving purchasing decisions. In addition, content diversification strategies, such as the use of Instagram Reels and Stories features, have helped strengthen the relationship between brands and consumers. This study recommends optimizing marketing strategies through platform diversification, collaboration with micro-influencers, and creating more interactive and personalized visual content. By strategically utilizing the power of social media and understanding consumer needs and preferences, Golden Black Coffee can maintain its competitive position in the market while increasing customer loyalty.

Abstract

Penguatan pembelajaran berbasis CAD (Computer Aided Design) di SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Semarang merupakan langkah strategis dalam menyiapkan lulusan SMK yang kompetitif di dunia industri, terutama teknik mesin. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman guru terhadap penggunaan perangkat lunak CAD, meningkatkan keterampilan dalam metode pengajaran berbasis teknologi, serta mengembangkan modul pembelajaran interaktif. Kegiatan ini meliputi pelatihan, pendampingan, dan evaluasi berbasis tugas mandiri. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan dalam keterampilan guru menggunakan perangkat CAD. Program ini diharapkan dapat menjadi model pembelajaran CAD bagi siswa di SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Semarang oleh guru yang sudah mengikuti pelatihan.

Abstract

Digital transformation in education requires the readiness of school institutions in various aspects, from infrastructure to curriculum adaptation. This study aims to analyze school readiness in implementing digital learning in the Ciputat area, South Tangerang. The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method in three schools with different characteristics. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The results of the study showed that school readiness still varies greatly. Schools with adequate managerial and financial support tend to be more prepared, as indicated by the availability of digital infrastructure, good teacher competence, and a curriculum that has adapted to digital learning. Meanwhile, limited facilities, low digital literacy of teachers and students, and minimal training are the main obstacles for other schools. In conclusion, the successful implementation of digital learning requires synergy between technical readiness, human resources, and curriculum policies. This study provides implications for education policy makers in designing strategies for equalizing digital transformation in schools

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has significantly influenced educational practices, including Islamic history (Tarikh) learning. Interactive learning media has emerged as a strategic alternative to enhance the quality and effectiveness of instruction, especially in simplifying complex historical content. This study aims to describe the implementation of interactive learning media in Tarikh subjects among 11th-grade students at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Simo Boyolali and to analyze its effectiveness in improving student comprehension and learning motivation. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed thematically. The findings reveal that teachers utilize various interactive media such as dynamic PowerPoint presentations, historical videos, digital quizzes, and Google Classroom. These media have been effective in increasing student participation, enhancing understanding of historical concepts, and creating an engaging and meaningful learning environment. Despite technical challenges, solutions were made possible through teacher initiatives and school infrastructure support. The results indicate that interactive learning media serves as an effective strategy to improve Tarikh learning outcomes.
