Abstract

This study explores the lived experience of knowledge sharing among ecoprintartisans in South Sulawesi, Indonesia, and its implications for innovation andsustainability in creative small and medium enterprises (SMEs). Using aphenomenological approach, in-depth interviews and participant observationswere conducted with local artisans to uncover how tacit and explicit knowledgeare exchanged and interpreted within their communities of practice. The findingsreveal that ecoprint knowledge is predominantly tacit and embodied, transmittedthrough observation, imitation, and shared experience rather than formaldocumentation. Knowledge sharing occurs within strong community networksgrounded in trust and solidarity, facilitated by both physical workshops and digitalplatforms. Openness in sharing—especially of failures—acts as a catalyst forcollective innovation, while the process itself reinforces environmental, economic, and cultural sustainability. This research contributes to extending knowledgemanagement theory beyond corporate settings by demonstrating that in creative,sustainability-oriented SMEs, knowledge sharing functions not merely as amanagerial process but as an ethical, communal, and generative practice thatsustains both innovation and heritage.

Abstract

The increasing number of insurance policy owners who close their policies or surrender is one of the long-lasting effects of Covid-19. So it is necessary to investigate qualitatively about the things that underlie the decision making of users of private health insurance services to stop paying premiums to close their insurance policies. This study used a qualitative design with an in-depth interview approach to 10 of the best private health insurance service user informants according to Investor 2022 magazine in Indonesia between June - August 2022. Transcripts of all interview results were analyzed using thematic analysis with a theoretical framework approach to planning behavior (TPB). From the three themes it was found that the perception of obstacles is the only thing that underlies the surrender decision by users of private health insurance. Insurance companies should provide several options for premium payment restructuring schemes and product restructuring and easy access to these options so that customers can be persistent in continuing their policies.

Abstract

The psychological well-being of civil servants has emerged as a critical concern in post-pandemic public sector human resource management, particularly amid the institutionalization of hybrid work arrangements through government regulation. This study investigates the effect of policy-driven hybrid work on employee well-being among civil servants (Aparatur Sipil Negara) in Kota Palopo, Indonesia, and examines the moderating role of job autonomy in this relationship. Grounded in the Job Demands–Resources (JD-R) Model, Self-Determination Theory (SDT), and Conservation of Resources (COR) Theory, the study employs a quantitative cross-sectional design with respondents selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) via SmartPLS 4.0. Results confirm that policy-driven hybrid work positively and significantly affects employee well-being, and that job autonomy significantly moderates this relationship, amplifying well-being outcomes among civil servants with higher autonomy. These findings advance JD-R theory by conceptualizing job autonomy as a conversion resource that determines how effectively state-mandated hybrid work arrangements translate into employee psychological well-being, with important implications for hybrid work policy design in non-Western public bureaucracies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine digital conflict management and stakeholder governance in Islamic schools by addressing four questions: 1) How do teachers and parents experience and interpret conflict in digital communication? 2) What factors trigger digital conflict in teacher-parent communication? 3) How do Islamic values shape conflict management strategies? 4) How does tabayyun function as a mechanism for restoring meaning, trust, and stakeholder relationships? Using a qualitative hermeneutic phenomenological approach, this study involved thirteen informants consisting of seven teachers, five parents, and one school principal from three private Islamic schools. Data were collected through in-depth semi-structured interviews and analyzed through holistic, selective, and detailed reading. Digital conflict emerged from communication ambiguity, parental moral anxiety, stakeholder expectations, and blurred communication boundaries. Teachers experienced moral fatigue arising from the continuous pressure to maintain morally and religiously appropriate communication, while tabayyun functioned as a restorative mechanism that repaired meaning, reduced emotional escalation, and restored trust. The study reconceptualizes teacher-parent digital conflict as a stakeholder governance issue, introduces moral fatigue as a context-sensitive form of exhaustion in value-based organizations, and positions tabayyun as a religiosity-based conflict management mechanism. The findings highlight the need for formal communication protocols, boundary governance, teacher support systems, and structured clarification procedures in Islamic schools.
