Abstract

Abstract

This study explores the foundational theories of Deep Learning (DL), its implementation challenges, and its impact on personalization, learning adaptation, and student outcomes. Using a qualitative descriptive approach based on a literature review, secondary data was gathered from scientific articles and relevant publications. The findings highlight DL's significant potential in enhancing education quality through personalized learning, rapid feedback, and material adaptation. However, challenges such as infrastructure limitations, insufficient teacher training, and data privacy issues remain major obstacles. DL can also improve student engagement through curriculum integration. This study provides new insights into the application of DL in education and offers recommendations for further research. With collaboration among stakeholders, DL holds the potential to transform educational systems into more inclusive and adaptive frameworks

Abstract

The growth of coffee shop businesses in Indonesia faces significant challenges, particularly for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that often encounter limitations in business management, marketing, and technology adoption. This community engagement initiative aims to assist the "Latimojong" coffee shop in addressing these issues through the implementation of the Business Model Canvas (BMC) integrated with Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The activities were conducted through an interactively designed socialization process, including material presentation, discussions, and mentorship. Pre-test results indicated that participants' initial understanding averaged 36%, highlighting the need for capacity building in business management. Following the socialization, the post-test scores significantly improved, averaging 87%, representing a 141.67% increase. This improvement reflects the success of the socialization program in enhancing participants' understanding. Through this initiative, the "Latimojong" coffee shop was able to formulate a more strategic and efficient business model, strengthening its competitiveness in the local market. The implementation of IoT technology and social media-based digital marketing positively impacted operational efficiency and customer experience. This Community Engagement initiative serves as a replicable model for technology-based SME empowerment, potentially supporting sustainable local economic growth.

Abstract

This Community Service (PKM) activity was funded by the Directorate General of Research, Technology, and Community Service in the 2024 budget year with contract number 1069/LL9/PK.00.PPM.BATCH.2. This activity took place in Mandalle Village, Pangkep Regency with the title Integrated Farming LETSGO (Integrated Catfish, Vegetables and Maggots) with the partner Turicinnai II Fish Cultivation Group. The problem experienced by the partner was that the pond they had had not been producing for a long time due to the high cost of manufactured feed and the low selling value of catfish. Through the PKM activity carried out by the team from the Balik Diwa Maritime Technology and Business Institute and STIE YPUP Makassar, they succeeded in overcoming the PKM partner's problem by creating 6 (six) complete aquaponic ponds (vegetables and fish), 1 maggot cultivation installation and providing training on maggot cultivation, aquaponic vegetable sowing, and food product sales training. The results of this PKM activity are expected to be able to increase the productivity and profits of PKM partners and increase the benefits of this activity for the surrounding community. The pre-test results showed that the level of knowledge and skills about aquaponics and maggots were generally in the poor category. However, after the learning activities, the post-test results showed that the level of knowledge and skills increased significantly and were generally in the good category. In general, partners considered that aquaponics and maggot maintenance activities were technically easy to apply, economically inexpensive, and ecologically could reduce waste, especially organic waste.
