Abstract

The matrilocal system has had a positive effect on women in Aceh. This system has enabled them to become more resilient in facing life's challenges for themselves, their families and their communities. This study is a qualitative study with philological and anthropological approaches used to study Acehnese manuscripts that are relevant to the theme of matrilocality. In-depth interviews, manuscript studies and observations were also conducted to understand matrilocality practices in Aceh, particularly in the Pidie regions. In this way, historical and empirical knowledge of Aceh's matrilocal system is obtained. It was found that the matrilocal system had raised the status and enthusiasm and resilience of Acehnese women in wading through life as individuals, family members, and part of Acehnese society. Philologically, historically and anthropologically a harmonious life is seen in the matrilocal system, Acehnese women make it possible to face life's challenges, such as raising children for a successful life; maintain good communication with parents, neighbors and the community; and managing household finances. This diversity of matrilocal traditions can contribute to the status and resilience of women in the Indonesian nation-state.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengelaborasi dan menganalisis bentuk remitansi sebagai kesalehan sosial orang Minang dan kontribusi perantau terhadap pembangunan Ranah Minang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Sumber data adalah pengurus, anggota organisasi Minang Rantau yang aktif, masyarakat yang ada dirantau dan yang ada di Ranah Minang, pengurus masjid dan pemerintahan nagari. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat beberapa remitansi sebagai bentuk kesalehan sosial orang Minang rantau dalam membangun Ranah Minang. Pertama, bantuan material, seperti pembagian zakat tijarah, mengirimkan hewan korban, pengumpulan infaq dan sadaqah, serta sumbangan untuk pembangunan fisik. Kedua, perasaan emphati/simphati yang terwujud dalam bentuk paket-paket sembako yang dikirimkan dari rantau, terutama menjelang hari raya. Paket ini disalurkan oleh perantau Minang melalui organisasi Bundo Kanduang.  Ketiga, penggunaan power (kekuasaan), remitansi sebagi kesalehan sosial orang Minang rantau juga termanifestasi dalam bentuk pengarahan pembangunan infra struktur untuk ditempatkan di Ranah Minang, seperti didirikannya Sentra Tenun Lintau Buo, Kabupaten Tanah Datar sebagai sebuah sentra tenun terindah dan terbesar di Indonesia.  Keempat, sumbangan dalam bentuk totalitas, berupa, sumbangan tenaga, fikiran dan materi seperti pembangunan masjid dan mushalla. Remitansi sebagai kesalehan sosial masyarakat Minang rantau berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan di Ranah Minang, baik pembangunan fisik maupun pembangun non fisik.

Abstract

Character education is mandatory material in Indonesia. One of the character learning strategies is to use folk songs. This study describes the strategies used by teachers in implementing character learning and explores information about obstacles and supports in its application. There were 12 study participants consisting of religion teachers from six schools in the Yogyakarta and Sumatra Regions. Selection of participants using purposive sampling. Data collection through in-depth interviews using an interview guide. The analysis technique is carried out through the process of reducing, presenting and interpreting data to draw conclusions. The results of this study are very important for education, where the teacher’s strategy, the use of traditional songs can become a new model of character education. Obstacles faced in the form of diverse student abilities can increase innovation, creativity and teacher competence in designing learning. The results of this study can become a basic reference in a new character education strategy. This research has several limitations both from the location, research subjects and the type of research. Subsequent research with a more complete design will add to the strengthening of the results of this study.

Abstract

AbstractArabic intensive Program is important to improve the quality of foreign language ability for UIN Imam Bonjol students. The planning, implementing and evaluating the process of the Arabic Intensive Program needs to be addressed and improved from various aspects. Thus, the study aims to identify appropriate policies to improve the management of the Intensive Arabic Language program, to develop Arabic language competency standards based on an analysis of the real conditions of the main components and program supporters, and to formulate the standard to improve the quality of Arabic Intensive Programs at UIN Imam Bonjol, Padang. This study used a qualitative approach where the data taken from interviews, documentation and focus group discussion. Data sources are managers, lecturers, and students participating in Arabic Intensive Program. The results of the study showed that the Arabic programs need appropriate policies to overcome the obstacles and problems. The visible problems were in the planning process, especially planning in the learning objectives, materials, and the provision of lecturers; In connection with the implementation of Arabic Intensive programs, there are still constrained by the available facilities and infrastructure, related to evaluation, the results of the study show that comprehensive evaluation needs to be done in relation to the evaluation of inputs, processes, outputs, and impacts to improve the quality of Arabic as an institutional brand in the future..AbstrakProgram intensif bahasa Arab penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas kemampuan bahasa asing bagi siswa UIN Imam Bonjol. Perencanaan, implementasi dan evaluasi proses Program Intensif Arab perlu ditangani dan ditingkatkan dari berbagai aspek. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kebijakan yang tepat untuk meningkatkan manajemen program Bahasa Arab Intensif, untuk mengembangkan standar kompetensi bahasa Arab berdasarkan analisis kondisi nyata dari komponen utama dan pendukung program, dan untuk merumuskan standar untuk meningkatkan kualitas Program Intensif Bahasa Arab di UIN Imam Bonjol, Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dimana data diambil dari wawancara, dokumentasi dan diskusi kelompok terarah. Sumber data adalah pimpinan, dosen, dan mahasiswa yang berpartisipasi dalam Program Intensif Arab. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program-program Arab membutuhkan kebijakan yang tepat untuk mengatasi hambatan dan masalah. Masalah yang terlihat dalam proses perencanaan, terutama perencanaan dalam tujuan pembelajaran, bahan, dan penyediaan dosen; Sehubungan dengan pelaksanaan program-program Intensif Bahasa Arab, masih ada kendala oleh fasilitas dan infrastruktur yang tersedia, terkait dengan evaluasi, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa evaluasi komprehensif perlu dilakukan sehubungan dengan evaluasi input, proses, output, dan dampak untuk meningkatkan kualitas bahasa Arab sebagai merek kelembagaan di masa depan.
