Abstract

Patra IFMS Training Center has had a wireless LAN (Local Area Network) network but still uses a hotspot network from the provider, which is very easy to access anytime, anywhere and can be enjoyed as long as the hotspot network is within reach. The main challenge in wireless LAN networks is managing human resources and maintaining the network so that it is effective, ensuring good, stable service quality so that there is no speed tug-of-war between other users when conducting online meetings or online training. This research aims to overcome these challenges by implementing additional MikroTik hardware and using user management methods and bandwidth priorities in the WLAN network as well as testing user management methods, bandwidth priorities on the network and MikroTik remote monitoring that will be added to the new network. The results of using MikroTik are very significant after grouping users using a collaborative user management system with bandwidth priorities so that the use of the internet network will be directed. The computer network at the Patra IFMS Training Center Office has installed a VPN and Address List which helps administrators to monitor network usage that is already running.

Abstract

Di era globalisasi, pasar bebas, dan perkembangan teknologi informasi yang sangat cepat, dunia kerja mengalami perubahan mendasar yang menuntut angkatan kerja tidak hanya menguasai keterampilan teknis tetapi juga kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreativitas, komunikasi, kolaborasi, serta penguasaan teknologi. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan siswa SMKN 7 Kota Serang dalam merencanakan pengembangan karir untuk menghadapi tantangan dunia kerja di era digital, dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya kesadaran siswa terkait pentingnya perencanaan karir yang sesuai kebutuhan industri berbasis teknologi informasi. Pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan edukatif dan partisipatif melalui tahapan sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan, dan evaluasi, dengan materi meliputi pengenalan karir digital, strategi perencanaan karir, pengembangan keterampilan, serta pemanfaatan platform digital untuk membangun profil profesional, melibatkan guru BK, siswa kelas XI dan XII, serta tim pelaksana dari perguruan tinggi mitra. Hasil kegiatan PKM ini diharapkan meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa mengenai pentingnya perencanaan karir, kemampuan memanfaatkan media digital sebagai sarana pengembangan diri, serta menumbuhkan motivasi untuk mempersiapkan diri menghadapi dunia kerja modern, sehingga dapat menjadi model pelatihan karir berbasis digital yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of training on employee job satisfaction, focusing on workload and motivation. This research proposes that practical training can reduce workload, increase motivation, and ultimately increase employee job satisfaction. The research method used was quantitative, with an association approach, identifying the relationship between the variables. The research population consisted of 199 employees of the Cilegon City Public Works and Spatial Planning Office, with a total sampling technique. Data collection was conducted using a Likert-scale questionnaire. For data analysis, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used with SmartPLS 4.0. The results of the study show that training has no direct effect on job satisfaction; however, it does have a significant effect on work motivation and workload, which, in turn, affect job satisfaction. Training that is relevant and tailored to employees' needs has been proven to reduce perceived workload, increase motivation, and boost job satisfaction. These findings make an important contribution to the development of human resource management strategies to improve employee performance and satisfaction in the public sector. It is hoped that this research can make a theoretical contribution to the literature in this context, of course, in the context of human resource management.

Abstract

Periode globalisasi telah membawa perubahan besar dalam dunia kerja dan kebutuhan keterampilan industri. Lulusan SMK, termasuk siswa SMKN 7 Kota Serang, dituntut tidak hanya menguasai keterampilan teknis, tetapi juga mampu melakukan analisis pekerjaan dan perencanaan karir secara fleksibel. Berbagai penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesiapan kerja siswa masih rendah, terutama dalam memahami deskripsi pekerjaan, spesifikasi tugas, dan pemilihan arah karir sesuai minat serta kebutuhan industri. Melalui program pengabdian masyarakat ini, dilakukan pelatihan yang mencakup analisis pekerjaan, perencanaan karir berdasarkan teori Holland, penyusunan CV profesional, dan praktik wawancara kerja. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman siswa, kepercayaan diri dalam menentukan karir, serta kemampuan merancang rencana karir realistis. Program ini berkontribusi pada peningkatan kesiapan kerja dan layanan karir berkelanjutan di sekolah.
