Abstract

The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Binjai City plays a crucial role in distributing logistical aid to communities affected by disasters. The manual recording and distribution process currently in use often leads to challenges such as delayed information, recording errors, and difficulties in monitoring stock in real time. This study aims to design and develop a web-based logistics information system using PHP programming language and MySQL database. The development method applied is the Waterfall model, consisting of requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance stages. The system includes features for managing administrator data, item categories, item records, and aid distribution, all integrated in real time. Testing results indicate that the system improves efficiency in stock recording and tracking, accelerates aid distribution, and enhances accuracy and accountability in BPBD Binjai's logistics management.

Abstract

Motor vehicle tax payment is a civic obligation; however, the level of taxpayer compliance remains relatively low due to limited information, insufficient motivation, and suboptimal utilization of digital services. This study aims to design a Motor Vehicle Tax Payment Management Information System integrated with a Lucky Draw feature as a gamification element to increase taxpayer interest and engagement. The design process employs a User-Centered Design (UCD) approach and utilizes Figma to produce a UI/UX design that is easy to understand and aligned with user needs. The research output is a visual prototype consisting of a homepage, registration form, admin dashboard, Lucky Draw spin feature, and reporting module. The design is evaluated based on usability, navigation, clarity of information, and visual consistency. The integration of the Lucky Draw feature provides additional motivation for taxpayers to fulfill their tax obligations in a timely manner. This study contributes a modern, user-oriented digital solution design that has the potential to enhance the effectiveness of tax services and improve taxpayer compliance.`

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology has encouraged many business sectors to adapt and utilize technology to improve operational efficiency, including in the car rental industry. This research aims to design and build a web-based car rental management information system that is able to help business processes such as vehicle data collection, customer management, bookings, and transaction reporting in a structured and integrated manner. The system development method used is the Waterfall method, which consists of the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The result of this research is a web-based information system that can be used by admins and users efficiently to carry out the car rental process, as well as produce accurate and real-time reports. With this system, it is hoped that data management will be easier, service to customers will be more optimal, and the decision-making process by the management will be more precise based on the available data. This system also supports the digitization of services, so that it can increase the competitiveness of the car rental business in the current technological era.

Abstract

The rapid growth of boarding house businesses requires effective and accurate information management to support daily administrative and financial activities. Manual data processing in boarding house management often leads to inefficiencies, data redundancy, and errors in financial reporting. This study aims to design a Boarding House Management Information System with administration and financial report features to improve operational efficiency, data accuracy, and financial transparency. The system is designed using a web-based approach that supports the management of tenant data, room data, rental contracts, payment records, and automated financial reporting. The system development process follows the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology, including requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing stages. Unified Modeling Language (UML) diagrams are used to model system processes and database structures. The results of this study produce a management information system that facilitates administrative tasks such as tenant registration, room management, and payment monitoring, as well as financial report generation including income and expense reports. The implementation of the system is expected to reduce administrative errors, enhance data accessibility, and support decision-making for boarding house owners and administrators.
