Abstract

ABSTRACTThe objective of this research is to examine the role ofInformal Credit Institucions for Rice farmers inWolaangVillage Langowan East District and provide benefits, additionalknowledge, information and research is expected to provideinput for the financial management institucions.This research using primary data and secondary data.The sources of primary data are obtained by interviewinglenders and loan recipients by using alist of questions(questionnaire), while the secondary data are taken from theVillage Chief Office. Debtors and creditors sampling had beendone intentionally (purposive sampling) to the 15 debtors and the5 creditors as respondents. Data was analyzed by using tableand Descriptive analyzes.The results of research and discussion showedit that theinformal credit institucions had a role in providing capital forrice farmers in the Wolaang Village Langowan East Districtand made credit process more easy related lending proceduresalthough its interest rate washinger than the formal credit.

Abstract

ABSTRACTIncreasing the number of residents in North Sulawesi during the last three years from 2009 to 2011 led to increasing demand for rice as well. On the other hand, the production of rice in this area is not self-sufficient, so the government had to import rice to overcome the shortage of rice. The objective of this research is to identify and analyze the factors that affect the import of rice in North Sulawesi.The experiment was conducted from June to December 2013 by using secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics, Bank Indonesia, North Sulawesi Province Food Security Agency and North Sulawesi Province Agriculture and Livestock Department in the form of a time series data in 2002-2011 period. Analysis of data use multiple linear regression methods with SPSS Statistics program version 20.Results showed that 86.5 percent of rice imports was significantly affected by the production of rice (27.8 percent significance level), consumption of the population (3.7 percent significance level), the stock of rice (4.5 percent significance level) and exchange rate (15.3 percent percent significance level), therefore it can be concluded that the increasing of rice production and rice stocks in North Sulawesi as well as an increasing in the exchange rate decreases imports of rice in North Sulawesi while the increasing consumption of the population of North Sulawesi increases imports of rice.

Abstract

ABSTRACTNolvi Sanggel. Analysis Nutmeg Farming in Talawid Village, Kendahe Sub District, Sangihe Islands Regency. Under the guidance O. Esry H. Laoh, as a Chairman, Grace A. J. Rumagit, and Ellen G. Tangkere as Members.The objective of this research is to analyze nutmeg farming in Talawid Village, Kendahe Sub District, Sangihe Islands Regency, Benefits of this research is to provide input and information materials for the development of nutmeg farming to related institution in order to increase their income.The method used in this study was "Purposive Sampling". Data used in this research is a primary data by using questionnaires that have been prepared are obtained from direct interviews with nutmeg farmers and secondary data from the Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Forestry and Village Office Talawid. Data obtained are presented in table form and then analyzed descriptively, followed by Return Cost Ratio analysis to determine the level of success of the farm.The results of this research showed that the average income Nutmeg farmers in the Village Talawid was Rp. 18,337,690, -. As costs incurred on average was Rp. 2,337,079, -. So that the average income received by farmers was Rp. 16,000,611, -. Analysis Results Return Cost Ratio (R/C) was 7.85, indicating that farming is done nutmeg experiencing gains.

Abstract

ABSTRACTMusperi Menggasa. Marketing Margin of Tomato (Lycopercicumpryformer) in Kolongan BehaBaru andVillage, West Tahuna sub District. Under Guidance of MF. Sondakh as a Chairman, Grace A. J. Rumagit, O. Porajouw as members.The Objective of this research is to study the marketing margin of tomato (Lycopercicumpryformer) in Sangihe Regency. This study uses a purposive sampling method and then sampling from the farmers is traced to marketing agencies of tomato by using snow ball sampling method. This study is analyzed descriptively by calculating the magnitude of each channel marketing margin and profit margin.The result of this research showed that marketing agenciesin Kolongan Beha Baru Village consisted of Farmers, Retailers, collecting trader and Consumers. Marketing channels freely selectable means direct marketing agencies can choose which marketing channels are more profitable. While the marketing channel is Zero Level channel (Farmer-Consumer), Level One Channel (Farmer-Retailer-Consumer) and Level Two Channel (Farmer-Collecting Traders- Retailer-Consumer).Tomatoes marketing margins in Kolongan Beha Baru Village Channel Level I was Rp. 333.3,- with an average profit margin earned by each marketing agencies was 12.5 with a selling price at the retail level is the purchase price at the consumer level. The average value of marketing margin of tomato in Kolongan Beha Baru in Channel Level II was Rp. 4.833.3, - with an average profit margin earned by each agency marketing was Rp. 1.701.6 . The low value of the profit margin was affected by the value of marketing costs. Thus the best marketing channels was level one channel.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe study aims to determined factors that influence the interests of farmer in rice farming in the Sendangan Village and to determine the influence of each factors on interets of rice farmer.The data used is primary data collected from 36 farmers using a questionnaire that had been developed . The analysis used in this study is a multiple linear regression analysis , using the SPSS 16 software tools . Secondary data obtained from agencies associated with this research that the Central Bureau of Statistics and the Office of the District of North Sulawesi Kakas .The results showed that there were factors the interests of farmers are land area, experience, income, and education assistance. Land area and income very significant effect on the interest of farmers. While the assistance and experience significant effect on the interest, education influence otherwise no significant effect on the interest. With the value of the contribution of determination R2 are the factors affecting land use, experience, income, and education of 72%.

Abstract

Grace Masengi. Feasibility Analysis of El-Shadai Retaurant Business in The Area Culinary Tourism of “ Wakeke Manado”. Under the guidance of Celcius Talumingan a chairman, and Grace. A. J. Rumagit, and Melissa L.G. Tarore as member’s).The objective of this research is to analyze the feasibility of El-Shadai restaurant to know, in detail, the business activity profile and the amount of the profit achieved every month, that it can also be known wheter it is feasible or not this El-Shadai Restaurant Business in the area of culinary tourism of “Wakeke Manado” to be maintained. This research used primary data which was obtainedby direct interview to the business owner containing the list of questions, and the secondary data was obtained from the governmental institution related to this research, that was Sub-district office of Wenang Utara. The data analysis methodused was Descriptive analysis method, data collected was presented in table form, and then used business profit analysis, also continued with the analysis Return of Cost Ratio to analyze the feasibility of El-Shadai restaurant business.This research result showed that entirely the El-Shadai restaurant business has the profit of Rp. 13.829.942 each month, with the cost ratio R/C of 1,33. Therefore it can be concluded that culinary business is categorized to be feasible to run because of the R/C value is more than 1. This shows that every Rp. 1 of production expense spent by the restaurant manager can give the return as the income of Rp. 1,33. It means that the total income is larger than total production expense and this culinary business activity still have the profit each month.

Abstract

ABSTRACTRuth Trifosa Mantiri. Dynamic Capabilities of Farmers Group Barameji In Kakaskasen 2 Village, North Tomohon sub District. Under guidance of Grace A. J. Rumagit a chairman, Leonardus R. Rengkung and Yolanda P. I. Rori as members.The objective of research is to analyze the dynamic capabilities based on the elements of adaptive, absorptive, innovative, and networking as forming factors of Barameji Farmer’s Group, and to know the efforts made in using and increasing those four elements to build a group to be able to conduct a sustainable development and can win the market competition.This research was conducted from February until May 2014, started from preparation until report compilation. The data used in the form of primary data and secondary data. This research was carried out with saturation sampling technique, in which include all members of a population of 14 people. Data analysis was done descriptively using a Likert scale and followed by t-test.The results showed that those element of adaptive, absorptive, innovative, and networking are strong elements as a forming factor in the dynamic capabilities of Barameji Farmer’s Group. Adaptive capability was used to identify natural phenomena and build green house, and the use of dolomite. As the effort in increasing adaptive capability, the approach and deepening characteristics of partner and competitors, as well as green house renovation could be conducted. Absorptive capability be used in the evaluation of implemented activities and strategies of other farmers. Increasing of absorptive capability was conducted by expanding the network and more intense of searching information.The use of innovative capability was conducted through the discovery of some innovation process, whereas its increase sought by strengthening absorptive continuous. The networking capability used in cooperation, then improved by expanding the partnership and develop a seed distribution system.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe objective of this research in to observe the effects before and after the increase of soybean prices to tofu processing small industries in Batu Kota Village, Malalayang sub District, Manado. Data collection was conducted over six months, from Februari 2014 until Juli 2014. Data obtained are primary and secondary data. Primary data obtained through the survey directly to the tofu enterprice in Batu Kota Village, Malalayang Sub District, Manado. Secondary data obtained through agencies associated with this research. Sampling was done by simple Saturated sampling technique, a total of 4 Respondents of small processing industry was sampled. The basic method used to see before and after the increase in soybean prices is that the next stage of your analysis descriptive in the form of tabulation, editing and processing of data by using Microsoft Excel Software.The results of this study indicated there was impact of price increases on small industrial soybean processing in Batu Kota Village, Malalayang Sub District, Manado. The impacts were in input factor price, decrease in the volume of production, the cost of the industry, the price of tofu, the size changes of tofu, revenue and profits of tofu entrepreneur. The increase of soybean prices reached 35.84 gratuity, tofu in Batu Kota still exist. This is due to changes in the size of tofu, besides tofu also has an informal partnership for the supply of raw materials with the tofu supplier there fore their industry still exist and feasible.Keywords : Frequency of production, informal Partnership, change of the size of the tof

Abstract

ABSTRACTLiberty Kaparang. Analysis of Advantage of Small Industry “Allen” Bread. (Under Guidance of Grace. A.J. Rumagit, as Chairman ; Ribka. M. Kumaat, ; Ellen. G. Tangkere as members.Agricultural and industrial sectors are the two sectors that play an important role in the Indonesian economy. As a mainstay in economic development, the sector is expected to contribute in improving the equitable and income for the community.The objective of this research is to analyze how the benefits received in the“Allen” bakery industry in Tinoor Village, North Tomohon Sub District in one process of production. The research conducted for approximately three months, and the data collected in the form of primary data were taken directly from the owner of the “Allen” bakery industry in Tinoor village, North Tomohon Sub District.The research result showed that the average profit made by small industries in one process of production was Rp. 2,899,509, with an average cost of Rp 2,300,491 from an average of 4,000 packs of bread production at a price of Rp 800 and Rp.1800.Revenue Cost Ratio Analysis showed that the “Allen” bakery industry in Tinoor village its R/C was 2,2 or it’s ratio was greater than one or the industry obtained profit. In this bread industry, the revenue was greater than cost, therefore the industry could get profit the use for the next production.

Abstract

ABSTRACTJelita Lapadjawa, 100314045, Role of the Agricultural Sector of the Economy East Bolaang Mongondow Regency under the guidance of Olfie L.S Benu as chairman, Grace A. J Rumagit and Welson M. Wangke as members. This study aims to determine (1) the role of the agricultural sector in the East Bolaang Mongondow Regency Economy, (2) the development of the agricultural sector within 5 years, from 2008 to 2012, and (3) whether the agricultural sector is a base or non base sector. The research was conducted in the East Bolaang Mongondow Regency. The data used was secondary data, collected from Statistics Indonesia (BPS) both at Kotamobagu City Office and North Sulawesi Province Office. The data was then analyzed using the contribution formula, the growth formula, and Location Quotient (LQ).The results showed that the agricultural sector was not the biggest contributor to the regional economy of the East Bolaang Mongondow Regency. The results of the study alsonoted that the development of the agricultural sector to the GRDP showed an increase from the year 2008- 2012, with the largest increase occurred in 2010 with the growth rate of 6%, and in 2012 it reached 4.66%. This could mean that the agricultural sector in the East Bolaang Mongondow already had good productivity. From the LQ analysis, it was shown that Agriculture was a base sector in the East Bolaang Mongondow, meaning that the role of agriculture in the East Bolaang Mongondow was larger compared its role in the province of North Sulawesi. Moreover, within Agriculture sector, it was shown that forestry, plantations and farms were the leading subsectors.
