Abstract

This study aims to describe the factors which determine consumer decisions of agricultural commodities to shop at traditional markets and modern markets in the city of Manado. This study took place in June 2015 until July 2015 at Traditional and Modern Market Market in the city of Manado. In this study, the data used is primary data obtained from questionnaires and secondary data obtained from the relevant agencies, namely the Manado Statistics Central Agency (BPS) and Department of Industry and Trade of Manado. Variables measured were age, education level, income, location, product, price, atmosphere in the outlets, service, comfort, prestige. Analysis of the data used is the logistic regression model analysis.The results showed that there are two variables that significantly determine the consumer’s decision of choosing to shop in agricultural commodities at Traditional Market or Modern Market in the city of Manado is the atmosphere in the stores and services. Consumer’s who want a high atmospheric in the stores, preferring to go shopping to the modern market, while consumer’s who want good services, prefer to shop in tradisional market.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the participation of members of farmers in farm management. The research was carried on in the Matani village of District Tumpaan of South Minahasa regency. Data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. The primary data obtained through direct interviews with respondents, while secondary data obtained from the district office Tumpaan. The sampling technique used was proportional stratified random sampling. The group was divided into two strata , farmer groups and farmer groups. The number of samples taken farmer group is three farmer groups, one advanced farmer group (Karisma) and 2 beginners farmer groups (Beringin and Bina Karya), each farmer groups in the capture of 10 members. The variable that is measured in this study is the participation of members of farmers in the planning, implementation, and controlling by using Likert scale. Analysis of the data used in this research is descriptive analysis. The results showed that, the participation of members of farmers in farm management from planning, implementation, and oversight is high.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the value of sales of compos at break even. Starting from of 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015. Analysis of break even point is an analysis tools that is used by management of a company that serves to determine the level of sales, so the company doesn’t profit and loss. Analysis of break even points can be used by a manager or a leader of the company with the aim to determine the level of sales volume before experiencing benefits and losses.Research uses the data analysis break even point. Research result shows that every year this business is able to obtain even a break even achieve a profit.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to understandthe allocation pattern of clove farmers’ income at Kiawa 1 Village at the harvest time in 2014. This research was conducted in the Kiawa 1 Village for 3 months, from April 2015 to July 2015. Primary and secondary data were used in this research. The primary data were obtained by interviewing respondents using a list of questions (questionnaire). The secondary data were obtained from some relevant offices. Thirty respondents were randomly selected from 86 available farmers. Data were analysed descriptivelyusing some tables. The respondents were grouped based on their incomes, which were those with incomes less than 50 millions rupiahs and those with incomes of 50 millions rupiahs or above.The results showed that the income allocation pattern of the farmers' with income <50 million as follows:average consumption was Rp. 25,762,483.6 or 70.48%, average investment was Rp. 6396533.7 or 17.50%, and average savings was Rp. 4389871.4 or 12.01%. Moreover, the pattern for the group of farmers with income >50 million as follows: average consumption was Rp. 46,242,699.1 or 46.67%, average investment was Rp. 27,309,599.67 or 27.56% and average savings was Rp. 25,532,689.2 or 25.76%. The results indicated that the magnitude of the farmer's income affected the income allocation for consumption, investment and savings. As the farmers’ incomes increased the allocation for consumption tended to decrease while the allocation for investment and savings tended to increase.*ghmk*

Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the influence of coconut production, the Rupiah exchange rate against the US $, and the export prices of desiccated coconut to the volume of exports of desiccated coconut North Sulawesi. This research was conducted in March-May 2016, with the location of Manado City, North Sulawesi. The data used in this research is secondary data obtained from related agencies such as the Department of Industry and Trade in North Sulawesi, Central Agency Statistics in North Sulawesi,Indonesia Bank, and Agricultural Departmentof North Sulawesi.Besides, there were interviews conducted on one of the companies which exportedthe desiccated coconut in North Sulawesi, namely PT. Dimembe Nyiur Agripro, to support the secondary data that has been obtained. The variables measured in this research are coconut production (Kg/year), the Rupiah exchange rate against the US$ (Rupiah), and desiccated coconut export price (US$/Kg). Thedata used istime series in the period of 2006 - 2015. Thedata analysis used is multiple linear regression. The result of this research shows that significantly in the time period of 2006-2015 the coconut production has positive influence on exports of desiccated coconut. The exchange rate shows a positive tendency and the export prices show that there was negative impact tendency,though both are not significant statistically to the exports of desiccated coconut in North Sulawesi.

Abstract

This research aims to see the difference in value and value added of a product, after experiencing processing in a production process. In the processing of Value Added can be defined as the difference between the value of the product with the cost of raw materials and other inputs not including labor. This Study for to calculate the value 1 kg of raw nuts to 0.73 bean roaster. This research will be implemented since March until June 2016 at UD. Tarsius in Kinali Village, Kawangkoan Sub-district, Minahasa District The data collection includes primary data and secondary data. The primary data obtained through direct interviews with owners of industrial processing of roasted peanuts and employee, as well as direct observation in place research. Secondary data were obtained from various literature related with this study. Research shows that Value Added obtained For 1 kg of raw nuts be roasted peanuts 0.73 that is Rp. 4.105,41 and Value Added to 0.73 bean roaster be roasted beans that have been packaged that is Rp. 6.169,5.*jrm*

Abstract

The problem in this research is the in the basic sector in South Minahasa District and the potential sectors to be developed as a support for economic growth in South Minahasa District. The purpose of this study is to analyze the basic sector and potential sectors in South Minahasa district. The study lasted four months starting June 2016 until September 2016, started with the preparation period to the preparation of research studies. This study used secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics of North Sulawesi province and the Central Bureau of Statistics South Minahasa district. Analysis used LQ, Shift Share, and MRP. The Result shows that the base sector in the Domestic Regional Product Of South Minahasa District. There are four sectors Agriculture sector, Mining and Quarrying, Manufacturing Industry Sector, and the Construction Sector. Values shift share South Minahasa district likely to lead to an economy that will grow relatively slowly and did not have a competitive advantage, and There are two sectors of the value of MRP that stand out in North Sulawesi province and South Minahasa District the Construction Sector, and Health Services and Social Activity sectors. Manufacturing sector, and Administration Sector, Government, Defense and Compulsory Social Assurance. These sectors are expected to be a potential role in contributing to the growth in north Sulawesi province because These sectors are potential sector that can be developed in South Minahasa district.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is influence over land tenure status to the income of rice farmers. Data retrieval is done with primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained from the farmers through a list of questions that had been prepared, while secondary data obtained from the office of the village or the head of the village. The way of taking samples, to look at the total population of each of the existing land tenure status, then divided by the population over land ownership and divided by 60 as a sample to be taken. The data collection method used is descriptive analysis and ANOVA (analysis of variance) in one direction. The concepts of measuring variables used are over land ownership, production, farming costs, revenue and income. The results of this study indicate that there are significant land ownership to farmers' income, the highest income is income tenants. Different income is the income of farmers own property with tenant farmers' income.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the factors - factors affecting the level of unemployment in theprovince of North Sulawesi. These factors include wages, inflation and GDP growth. This study usesmultiple linear regression analysis with Ordinary Least Square method (OLS) was performed using14 years data from 2001 to 2014. The results showed wage variables significantly influence theunemployment rate in North Sulawesi province with probability 0.0104, while inflation and levels ofGDP growth does not significantly influence the unemployment rate with respective probabilities0.5619 for Inflation and 0.3791 for GDP growth.Keywords: affecting factors, wages, inflation, GDP growth, unemployment, North Sulawesi Province

Abstract

This study aims to determine the rice supply chain management. Data retrieval is done is primary data and secondary data. Primary data were obtained through a list of questions that had been prepared, while secondary data obtained from relevant agencies to study the Agriculture Department Kotamobagu. The sampling method is done by snowball sampling, where the sample is obtained based on information from first responders then browse to the next respondent. Data presented in tables and descriptive analysis to describe the characteristics of respondents. The concept of measuring variables used is the procurement, planning and control, operations or production and delivery or distribution. These results indicate that the rice supply chain management in the District of South Kotamobagu starting from farmers in the form of grain and then distributed by the farmers to millers. Activities drying, milling and packaging is done by the rice mill, then sold to wholesalers and retailers or directly to the final consumer in the form of rice. The process of the activities in the implementation of supply chain management is divided into three main streams are managed properly, the flow of goods / products, financial flows and the flow of information so that the production of rice in each member of the supply chain is always available.Keywords: management, supply chain
