Abstract

Peresepan puyer untuk anak masih banyak dilakukan dikarenakan kemudahan pemberian dan pengaturan dosis. Pembuatan puyer di apotek pada proses pembuatannya hanya berdasarkan pada visual baik dalam pencampuran maupun pembagian kedalam bungkus puyer, hal ini dapat menyebakan heterogenitas bobot antara puyer yang satu dengan yang lainnya dan menyebabkan pemberian dosis yang tidak sama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat dan menggambarkan mutu sediaan racikan puyer dari segi keragaman bobot dan keseragaman kadar. Evaluasi keragaman bobot dilakukan berdasarkan prosedur uji keragaman bobot kapsul keras yang tertera pada Farmakope Indonesia V menggunakan imbangan analitik dan uji keseragaman kadar dilakukan menggunakan Spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Hasil evaluasi keragaman bobot menunjukan tidak ada sampel yang memenuhi syarat keragaman bobot serta, tidak ada sampel yang memenuhi persyaratan keseragaman kadar menurut Farmakope Indonesia V.

Abstract

Peracikan obat merupakan salah satu dari bentuk pelayanan kefarmasian yang menjadi tanggung jawab seorang apoteker di apotek dan sarana pelayanan kefarmasian lainnya. Proses peracikan yang baik akan menghasilkan sediaan yang bermutu, aman dan efektif. Sediaan obat termasuk sediaan hasil peracikan harus terjamin mutu dan keamanannya. Di Indonesia khususnya belum terdapat prosedur dan standar mutu sediaan racikan.Penelitian ini bertujuan melakukan evaluasi mutu puyer hasil racikan apotek di kecamatan Ciputat yaitu keseragaman sediaan. Sediaan puyer disampling dari semua apotek (8 apotek) yang terdapat di wilayah kecamatan Ciputat Timur. Analisa yang dilakukan adalah keragaman bobot dan keseragaman kandungan. Penetapan keragaman bobot dilakukan menggunakan timbangan analitik dan keseragaman kandungan menggunakan Spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, sediaan racikan puyer dari 8 apotek di kecamatan Ciputat Timur tidak memenuhi uji keragamanan bobot dan keseragaman kandungan menurut Farmakope Indonesia V.

Abstract

Al-Qanun Fi’l Tibb II merupakan buku materia medica karya Ibnu Sina yang terkenal di dunia. Buku tersebut menjelaskan secara rinci mengenai monografi tanaman berkhasiat terhadap organ tubuh, salah satunya terhadap tulang dan sendi. Akan tetapi dalam buku tersebut belum memuat komponen major metabolit sekunder yang diduga berperan penting dalam memberikan efek farmakologis. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk menginventarisasi tumbuhan yang terdapat di dalam buku Al-Qanun Fi’l Tibb II dan melakukan literatur review terkait kandungan metabolit sekunder yang terdapat dalam tanaman tersebut. Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan literature review melalui studi kepustakaan. Hasil pengambilan data menunjukan terdapat 74 tanaman yang berkhasiat terhadap tulang dan sendi diantaranya memiliki komponen major metabolit sekunder seperti senyawa terpen, flavonoid, alkaloid, tanin, alil isotiosianat, saponin, glikosida, alkohol lemak, asam fenolat, benzofenon, kuinon, sekoiridoid, kumarin, stilbene, anthrone, naftalen, benzaldehida dan asam karboksilat. Terpen merupakan metabolit sekunder yang paling banyak ditemukan dalam tanaman yang berkhasiat terhadap tulang dan sendi. Bioaktivitas yang ditemukan pada tanaman diantaranya antigout, antioksidan, osteoprotektif, antiosteoporosis, antibakteri, antiinflamasi dan analgesik.

Abstract

This descriptive study (n = 39) investigated diabetes self‑management Questionnaire (DSMQ) and temperament profiles among university employees with prediabetes risk. DSMQ subscales (glucose management, dietary control, physical activity, healthcare use) were assessed alongside 75‑g OGTT categories (IFG/IGT) using ADA‑standard definitions. Most participants had low DSMQ scores (79.5%), with dietary control and physical activity as the weakest domains. Overweight/obesity was highly prevalent (BMI ≥ 23 kg/m²; 85%), and routine check‑ups were infrequent. BMI correlated with prediabetes (r = 0.436; p = 0.005) and hypertension (r = 0.466; p = 0.003). Dominant temperament was associated with 2‑hour plasma glucose during OGTT (ρ = 0.321; p = 0.045), whereas subdominant temperament was not significant (ρ = 0.285; p = 0.071). We clarified DSMQ structure (16 items; reverse‑coded items; sum scale) and standardized IFG/IGT/75‑g OGTT terms in line with ADA 2025. Findings highlight the need for workplace multicomponent programs integrating nutrition education, structured physical activity, weight management, and temperament‑informed counseling. Limitations include descriptive design (n = 39), purposive sampling, potential confounding, and the non‑causal nature of correlations. In settings with low health service utilization, pragmatic screening and regular follow‑up combined with personalized behavior change strategies may help prevent progression to type 2 diabetes.

Abstract

Hypertension is a disease in which a person has an increase in diastolic (≥90 mmHg) and systolic (≥140 mmHg) blood pressure. Treatment of hypertension is a long-term therapy, one of the parameters to achieve therapeutic success is patient compliance in taking medication in order to minimize the impact caused so that it can affect the quality of life of patients. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between compliance with amlodipine consumption with the quality of life of hypertensive patients at Individual Practitioners in Ranah Batahan. The research design used was quantitative research using a cross- sectional approach conducted on 45 respondents who met the inclusion criteria. The level of compliance with taking the respondent's medication was measured using the Pill Count method and the quality of life of hypertensive patients using the WHOQOL questionnaire. Data were processed using IBM SPSS 22 and analyzed through frequency distribution analysis (univariate) and Chi square test (bivariate). Based on the results of measuring the level of compliance, 29 respondents (64.4%) were declared compliant and 16 respondents (35.6%) were not compliant. Measurement of quality of life level, as many as 28 (62.2%) were moderate and 17 (37.8%) were low. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between the level of compliance with quality of life p value < 0.05 with moderate relationship strength p value 0.003.

Abstract

Verifying the species origin of processed meat is important for both genuineness and halal compliance. This study aims to identify volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in fresh and processed meat using a volatilomic metabolomics approach. Fresh beef, fresh pork, beef sausage, and pork sausage are collected from supermarkets. For sample preparation, each meat sample was homogenized in phosphate buffer and placed in headspace vials. The VOCs were analyzed with HS-GCMS, and principal component analysis (PCA) was used to interpret the data. Fresh beef contained 50 volatile compounds, while fresh pork had 30. Beef sausage, pork sausage, and mixed beef–pork sausages (25:75 and 50:50) contained 41, 30, 38, and 50 volatile compounds, respectively. PCA results showed clear differences between beef and pork based on their chemical profiles. Hexanal and 1-octen-3-ol were strong indicators of pork, while nonanal, octanal, and benzaldehyde were typical for beef. In sausages, PC1 separated pork and beef by the types of volatile compounds from fat compared to those from protein or heme. PC2 reflected the phenolic and terpene compounds from smoke seasonings. Some VOCs, like n-hexane and N-tert-butylhydroxylamine, are commonly used in pork sausage production. The VOC profiles of mixed sausages depended on the beef-to-pork ratio. Some markers were present only in small amounts; for example, 1-octen-3-ol was detected only in the 25:75 mixture, and benzaldehyde was detected only in the 50:50 mixture. These results show that species-specific volatile compounds can still be detected in mixed sausage samples, supporting the use of volatilomics to detect adulteration.

Abstract

Prediabetes is a preclinical condition with a high risk of progressing to type 2 diabetes. This study evaluated an eight-week self-care training program among UIN Jakarta employees, facilitated by Public Health Pharmacy and integrating Avicenna’s classical health principles with WhatsApp-based digital education. A quasi-experimental pre–post design without a control group was applied to 39 participants meeting prediabetes criteria. Clinical parameters assessed included random blood glucose (RBG), systolic blood pressure (SBP), body mass index (BMI), and waist circumference (WC), along with self-care practices using the Indonesian version of the Diabetes Self-Management Questionnaire (DSMQ). Data were analyzed using Wilcoxon signed-rank test and Cohen’s dz effect size. Significant improvements were observed in SBP (dz = -0.530), BMI (dz = -0.253), WC (dz = -0.320), and DSMQ score (dz = +0.793), while RBG showed no significant change. These findings support a culturally relevant, cost-effective model for workplace-based prediabetes prevention. In line with American Diabetes Association (ADA) 2025 Standards of Care, the approach emphasizes person-centered Diabetes Self-Management Education and Support (DSMES) and team-based support; European Society of Cardiology (ESC) 2024 guidelines align the observed SBP reduction with recommended targets after lifestyle intervention. Future programs should extend duration and adopt hybrid delivery for optimal glycemic control.
