Abstract

PT Simba Indosnack Makmur is a factory that produces snacks. In the production process the machine has worked very optimally, the problem that is often faced by the Quality Control department is often finding non-standard product weights. This problem is caused by a machine that already requires maintenance. So far, the maintenance process has to get approval from the manager, which sometimes takes quite a long time to be inspected so that the maintenance process is delayed, which results in reduced production targets. By implementing a predictive maintenance model that utilizes time series data in the production process, applying the Elman Recurrent Neural Network will be able to provide notifications for machine maintenance before the machine is inaccurate in snack production. The Elman structure was chosen because it can make iterations much faster, thus facilitating the convergence process. The input vector used uses windows size. The results of the study using a target error of 0.001 show the smallest MSE value of 0.002833 with windows size 11. Then by using 13 neurons in the hidden layer a minimum error value of 0.003725 is obtained.

Abstract

Draw down belt yang digunakan sebagai penarik alumunium foil dari sebuah mesin filling sering mengalami keausan dini daripada perkiraan 1 tahun pemakaian. Hal ini terjadi karena adanya kontak antara material draw down belt dengan alumunium foil dan stainless steel. Oleh karena itu perlu di lakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui laju keausan draw down belt serta mencari tahu penyebab keausan dini pada draw down belt dan juga mengetahui umur pakai sebenarnya pada draw down belt. Pengujian keausan di lakukan dengan menggunakan alat Din Abrasion Tester. Spesimen uji dari draw down belt di timbang dengan timbangan digital sebelum di lakukan pengujian untuk mengetahui berat awal material. Pengujian di lakukan dengan memvariasikan beban yaitu 4 kg, 6 kg, dan 8 kg.Sedangan speed yang di gunakan yaitu konstan 40 rpm.Hasil pengujian di atas di dapat nilai specific wear rate dari draw down belt, dimana pada pembebanan 4 kg di dapat nilai specific wear rate1,08213E-05mm3/N.m, pada pembebanan 6 kg di dapat nilai specific wear rate 1,26249E-05 mm3/N.m dan pada pembebanan 8 kg di dapat nilai specific wear rate 2,27005E-05 mm3/N.m.

Abstract

Tanda - tanda apabila terjadinya kerusakan atau kebocoran pada shock absorber belakang Toyota Avanza sebutulnya samasaja seperti shock absorber bocor pada mobil lainnya, yaitu munculnya rembesan oli disekitar tabung shock absorber. Terjadinya kebocoran ini biasanya disebabkan oleh seal yang ada di dalam shock absorber sudah renggang atau tidak rapat lagi, sehingga oli menjadi rembes keluar. Beberapa gejala yang sering terjadi dan dirasakan pengendara yaitu, oli rembes, suspensi terasa lebih keras, saat kendaraan melewati jalan berlubang atau polisi tidur suspensi akan terasa tidak enak dan kendaraan akan sedikit sulit dikendalikan, serta mengakibatkan permukaan ban menjadi bergelombang. Pada penelitian tugas akhir ini penulis melakukan beberapa analisis apa saja yang menyebabkan kerusakan pada shock absorber Toyota Avanza, penelitian dilakukan dengan test beban dan pengukuran terhadap beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan kerusakan shock absorber Toyota Avanza. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa kerusakan shock absorber terjadi karena fatigue material pada seal shock absorber sehingga menyebabkan kebocoran oli pada shock absorber belakang Toyota Avanza. Penyebab kerusakan lainnya pada shock absorber genuine Toyota Avanza adalah karena terjadi deformasi pada pegas shock absorber akibat pegas tidak mampu meredam beban gaya yang terjadi pada saat beban muatan penuh pada kendaraan sebesar 1585 kg, sehingga shock absorber mengalami stroke (pemendekan) yang melebihi batas standar yang diijinkan sebesar 165 mm dan menyebabkan umur pemakaian shock absorber menjadi lebih cepat. Solusi untuk menghindari defleksi atau gejala amblas yang ada di shock absorber belakang Toyota Avanza adalah dengan mengurangi beban muatan penuh pada kendaraan, hal ini tentunya akan memperpanjang usia shock absorber, karena defleksi pegas yang besar akan mengakibatkan kerusakan yang lebih cepat pada komponen shock absorber. Solusi lainnya adalah dengan mengganti shock absorber dengan produk after market merk kayaba yang memiliki spesifikasi stroke lebih pendek dan diameter shock absorber lebih besar dari pada shock absorber genuine Toyota Avanza

Abstract

Peneliti melakukan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model cakram terhadap jarak dan waktu pengereman. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode Eksperimen. Yang diuji adalah jarak dan waktu pengereman. Dengan menggunakan alat uji pengereman. Piringan yang digunakan adalah model A diameter 22 mm, model B diameter 280 mm. Hasil penelitian yang di dapat adalah model A memiliki jarak dan waktu pengereman terbaik. Pada kecepatan 20 km/jam dengan tekanan pengereman 30 bar menghasilkan jarak pengereman 2.36 meter dan waktu pengereman 2.2 detik. Pada kecepatan 30 km/jam dengan tekanan pengereman 30 bar menghasilkan jarak pengereman 2.78 meter dan waktu pengereman 3.3 detik. Pada kecepatan 40 km/jam dengan tekanan 30 bar menghasilkan jarak pengereman 2.95 meter dan waktu pengereman 4.3 detik.

Abstract

Quantity and quality of rice grain can be developed through more efficient and accurate threshing methods based on the measurement of threshing force (TF). This study aimed to investigate the influence of rice varieties and grain position on the panicle on the threshing force (TF) results. Rice grains from several harvested varieties were dried to a moisture content level of 12% and prepared for threshing force (TF) testing. The research design used was a 2-factor completely randomized design with 3 replications. The first factor was rice varieties consisting of 4 levels: Sintanur, Siliwangi, Pajajaran, and Cakrabuana. The second factor was grain position on the panicle, consisting of 3 levels: upper, middle, and basal. Threshing force (TF) values were tested for 12 treatment combinations. The obtained data were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by Duncan's multiple range test (DMRT) at a significance level of 5%. The results indicated that rice varieties had a highly significant effect on the threshing force (TF). On the other hand, grain position on the panicle had a non-significant effect on the threshing force (TF). The rice variety that produced the highest average threshing force (TF) value was Cakrabuana with 0.51 N, followed by Siliwangi with 0.50 N, Sintanur with 0.43 N, and Pajajaran with 0.35 N. The upper position of the grains on the rice panicle yielded the lowest average threshing force (TF) value of 0.41 N, compared to the middle position with 0.46 N and the basal position with 0.47 N.

Abstract

The accumulation of organic waste in urban areas triggers overcapacity at the Sumur Batu Landfill and causes air pollution due to open burning. This community service activity aims to educate the university community on reducing leaf waste at the source through a composting pilot project at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Krisnadwipayana. The methods applied encompass a sociotechnological approach consisting of community education, technical composting training guided by speakers from the North Bekasi District Environmental Health Department (UPTD LH), and the diffusion of science and technology. The starter formulation utilized a mixture of 1 cap of EM4, 1 cap of molasses, and 10 liters of fresh water, followed by an anaerobic fermentation process for 25 days. The results demonstrated a successful collaborative integration of lecturers and students across multiple departments (Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, and Urban and Regional Planning) in producing ready-to-use organic fertilizer applied to the campus's productive trees. In conclusion, managing waste independently from its source is crucial as a tactical solution to reduce regional ecological burdens while creating a clean, healthy, and sustainable campus ecosystem.

Abstract

The increase in pollution and micro temperatures within the Universitas Krisnadwipayana (UNKRIS) campus environment requires concrete solutions through the optimization of green open spaces. This community service aims to reforest the campus while strengthening local food security by planting productive trees. The methods used include community education on environmental conservation, planting technique training, and science and technology diffusion through the planting of 50 Multipurpose Tree Species (MPTS) seedlings, such as miki avocado, arumanis mango, breadfruit, citra water apple, and citrus. The results show a significant increase in academic community awareness and improvement in the campus's physical environmental quality. Collaboration with agricultural experts ensures the sustainable growth of the plants. In conclusion, the integrated planting of shaded and productive trees creates a cooler and more food-independent campus ecosystem. This activity is vital as a pilot model for educational institutions in supporting the sustainable development agenda and collective responsibility for earth's sustainability.
