Abstract

This study aims to determine the steps for compiling e-modules, the feasibility of materials, language, design, and product effectiveness resulting from the development of CTL-based e-modules on the subject of cultural diversity in society to improve learning outcomes for fifth grade elementary school students. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) study. The model used in development is the ADDIE model. The subjects in the study were students of SDN 38 Bengkulu City, totaling 25 students in class 5 A as the experimental class, and 22 students in class 5 B as the control class. The instruments used in this study were interview guides, questionnaires, and tests in the form of multiple choice questions through pretest and posttest. To measure effectiveness, tests were carried out twice, namely before and after learning took place in the experimental class and the control class. The data analysis technique in this study was validation analysis using Aiken's V and Interrater Reliability, as well as quantitative analysis using the t-test. From the research results it is known that the results of material, language, and design validation are very feasible and well used in learning so that students are happy and interested in learning. The results of the effectiveness of e-modules effectively affect student learning outcomes. Students who use CTL-based e-modules are higher than students who only use textbooks from schools so they are declared effective.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using the solar system encyclopedia e-book with the TPACK approach to learning outcomes and learning interest in science learning for class VI students. This research is a quantitative research, with a Quasi Experimental Design approach. The population in this study were all grade VI students at SD N 14 Lubuklinggau. The sample in this study were 27 students of class VI.A as the experimental class and 26 students of class VI.B as the control class. The instruments used in this study were interview guides, questionnaires, and pretest and posttest tests. Based on the calculation results obtained 7.796 > 2.010 or it can be concluded t-count > t-table. The result of the significance value analysis is 0.000, which means it is less than 0.05, so it can be concluded that Ho is rejected. Thus, there are significant differences in learning outcomes in solar system material whose learning process uses encyclopedia e-books. Also, Cohen's result d = 2.136 (large effect size). The effect size we mean is the difference between the mean values ​​of the two groups in relation to the standard deviation which shows the results of the effect size with the high category. Testing the hypothesis stated that there was an interest in learning for class VI students about the solar system by using an e-book encyclopedia. The calculation results obtained 1.840 > 2.010 or it can be concluded that t-count > t-table. The significance value of the analysis results is 0.000, which means it is less than 0.05. Cohen result d = 2.023 (large effect size) By effect size, we mean the gap between the mean values ​​of the two groups in relation to the standard deviation indicating an effect size result in the high category. This study shows that there is a significant effect of encyclopedia e-books with the TPACK approach on the results and interest in learning science in grade VI students.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the impact of a Problem-Based Learning (PBL)–based Web Flipbook E-Module on fourth-grade students’ factual, conceptual, and procedural knowledge regarding the animal life cycle. Using a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group design, quantitative data were collected through essay tests. The findings indicate that the integration of PBL supported by the e-module significantly enhanced all three types of knowledge. For factual knowledge, the experimental class achieved an average score of 93 compared to the control class’s 86, with Fcount 14.985 > Ftable 2.98 and an N-gain of 0.65 (medium), exceeding the control’s 0.46. Conceptual knowledge also improved, with the experimental class scoring 70 versus 46 in the control class, supported by Fcount 11.203 > Ftable 2.98 and an N-gain of 0.56 (medium), higher than the control’s 0.28 (low). Procedural knowledge showed similar gains, with scores of 69 in the experimental class and 40 in the control class, along with Fcount 6.374 > Ftable 2.98 and an N-gain of 0.43 (medium), compared to 0.13 (low) in the control class. Regression analysis revealed a strong correlation (r = 0.796) among the three knowledge dimensions, confirming their interconnected contribution to students’ overall understanding. Overall, the PBL-based Web Flipbook E-Module proved effective in comprehensively enhancing students’ knowledge.

Abstract

The type of research employed was Research and Development (R&D), utilizing the ADDIE development model, which includes the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The data collected comprised both quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data were obtained from the validation results by material, language, and graphic experts, product trials, and effectiveness testing via pretest and posttest. Qualitative data were gathered from interviews, observation, and response questionnaires administered to teachers and students. The research results indicated that the developed PBL-based Student Worksheet was deemed feasible for use according to the material, language, and graphic expert validators. The responses from both teachers and students were classified as very positive regarding the media's appearance and ease of use. Furthermore, the effectiveness test results showed an increase in students' problem-solving abilities, with an N-Gain Score of 0.6648, which falls into the high category. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the PBL-based Student Worksheet is effective for improving the cognitive learning outcomes of third-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) model assisted by GeoGebra on students’ critical thinking skills and cognitive learning outcomes in mathematics, as well as to analyze the correlation between the two variables. This research employed a quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest control group design. The participants consisted of 44 fifth-grade elementary school students divided into an experimental class and a control class. The instruments used were an essay test for measuring critical thinking skills and a multiple-choice test for assessing cognitive learning outcomes. Data were analyzed using normality and homogeneity tests, N-Gain, independent sample t-test, and Pearson Product Moment correlation with the aid of IBM SPSS Statistics version 22. The results showed that the RME model assisted by GeoGebra had a significant effect on improving students’ critical thinking skills (t = -2.342; Sig. 0.027 < 0.05) with an N-Gain value of 0.65 (moderate–high category). The model also significantly influenced students’ cognitive learning outcomes in mathematics (t = -3.176; Sig. 0.004 < 0.05) with an N-Gain value of 0.67 (moderate–high category). Moreover, there was a strong positive correlation between critical thinking skills and cognitive learning outcomes (r = 0.742; Sig. 0.000 < 0.05). These findings indicate that the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) model assisted by GeoGebra is effective in enhancing students’ critical thinking and cognitive performance while fostering a positive interrelationship between both aspects. Therefore, this model is recommended as an innovative learning approach to develop higher-order thinking skills in elementary mathematics education.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Wordwall-based interactive media on critical thinking skills and mathematical conceptual understanding of fourth-grade elementary school students. A quasi-experimental design with posttest-only control group involving 40 students at SD Negeri 112 Rejang Lebong was employed. The experimental class received PBL instruction with Wordwall integration, while the control class received conventional instruction. Data were collected through validated multiple-choice tests measuring critical thinking (10 items) and conceptual understanding (6 items), analyzed using Independent Sample T-Test and N-Gain. Results demonstrate significant effects on both variables: critical thinking (sig. 0.000 < 0.05, N-Gain 63% vs. 30%) and conceptual understanding (sig. 0.003 < 0.05, N-Gain 53% vs. -12%). The study reveals a strong reciprocal relationship between critical thinking and conceptual understanding, where both develop simultaneously through PBL's pedagogical structure. Wordwall functions as a catalyst synchronizing and amplifying the interaction between variables through immediate feedback and multiple representations. The model proves effective in transforming surface learning into deep conceptual understanding while developing 21st-century skills. This finding contributes to developing effective, contextual mathematics learning models aligned with Merdeka Curriculum demands and 21st-century learning requirements in elementary education.

Abstract

This study aims to develop discovery learning-based augmented reality diorama media to improve students' cognitive abilities. The study was conducted at SDN 57 Bengkulu City in grade IV. This study is a development research (Research and Development) with the model The research model in development is the ADDIE model. The object of the study is discovery learning-based augmented reality diorama media to improve students' cognitive abilities. The instruments used were a feasibility test questionnaire and student response questionnaire and teacher interview guidelines. The feasibility test was carried out by 6 validators, namely 2 material experts, 2 language experts and 2 graphic experts. The user response test was carried out on 25 fourth-grade students and 1 class teacher in the trial class. The results of the teaching media feasibility test by the validator were reviewed from the material, language, and graphic aspects, the material feasibility was obtained 70.8% (feasible criteria), the language feasibility results 75% (feasible criteria) and the graphic feasibility results 79.1% (feasible criteria). The results of the field test of the teaching media, conducted by conducting pre- and post-tests, showed an average pre-test score of 53.2, increasing to 82 in the post-test. Meanwhile, the gain test showed a result of 0.61, which is categorized as moderate. In other words, the teaching media used provides benefits and is effective for use as a learning medium in improving students' cognitive abilities.
