Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan nilai nasionalisme dalam legenda rakyat di Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian ini berupa teks kutipan legenda yang mengandung nilai nasionalisme. Sumber data penelitian adalah 5 legenda rakyat yaitu legenda Batu Bertutup, Eumpee Buno, Mon Twi Patong, Amat Rhang Manyang dan Asal-Usul Gunung Tiga. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa rekaman dari informan kemudian diterjemahkan dalam bahasa Indonesia dan dianalisis nilai nasionalisme. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat nilai nasionalisme dalam lima legenda rakyat tersebut. Nilai nasionalisme tersebut adalah (a) kesetiaan, (2) kesetiakawanan sosial, (3) kemandirian, (4) kerja keras, (5) Kontrol diri, (6) belas kasih, (7) mandiri, dan (8) kasih sayang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) untuk mengkaji bagaimana guru TK Alfitiyan menyiapkan strategi manajemen kelas pada proses bembelajaran pengucapan, (2) untuk mengkaji bagaimana guru TK Al fitiyan melakukan strategi manajemen kelas dalam proses pembelajaran pengucapan, dan (3) untuk mengkaji bagaimana guru TK Al fitiyan mengevaluasi hasil strategi manajemen kelas dalam proses pembelajaran pengucapan. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kualitatif karena hanya menggambarkan situasi dan kondisi pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran pengucapan hanya dua orang maka guru tersebut diambil sebagai subyek penelitian dan dinamakan sumber data. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan prosedur narasi. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa guru menyiapkan silabus dan bahan ajar persemeter. Guru menggunakan satu metode dalam proses belajar mengajar metode latihan. Selanjutnya dalam mengevaluasi hasil proses belajar mengajar, guru mengevaluasi peserta didik dengan menggunakan satu macam tes yaitu tes proses berjalan. Tes yang dilakukan berupa secara individual. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dalam proses belajar mengajar, guru harus menekankan pengajaran cara atau metode yang cukup sesuai untuk tingkat siswa dalam belajar pengucapan.

Abstract

This research aims: (1) to examine what strategies are used by kindergarten teachers in implementing English vocabulary learning, (2) to examine strategies for implementing English vocabulary learning carried out by teachers in TK Alifba, and (3) to examine how teachers Alifba Kindergarten evaluates the results of the strategy for implementing the English vocabulary learning process. This research was qualitative research because it only describes the situation and condition of the strategy for implementing the English vocabulary learning process in Alifba Kindergarten. Since only one teacher teaches English, the teacher is taken as the research subject and is called the data source. The instruments used to collect data are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed with narrative procedures. The results of the study show that in the strategy for implementing the vocabulary learning process, the Alifba Kindergarten teacher prepares the syllabus and teaching materials per lesson package. Teachers use various strategies in implementing the learning process and these strategies include singing, playing roles, and through picture cards. Furthermore, in evaluating the results of the implementation of the teaching and learning process, the teacher evaluates students using one type of test, namely the walking process test. The tests are carried out individually.

Abstract

The study is intended to see how education finance is regulated at MAS Ar-Risalah Krueng Sabee Aceh Jaya. This study is a case study. Information is obtained through observation, interviews, and information storage. Furthermore, so that the data can be trusted, several stages are carried out, namely the data source triangulation technique. The data analysis technique uses four stages, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show that: (1) The implementation of education financing management includes the process of planning, using funds, monitoring and accountability. (2) Private Madrasahs cannot only depend on sources of funds from the government in fulfilling education funding. (3) Overall, the implementation of education financing management has been well implemented. The limitations in managing education financing at MAS Ar-Risalah Krueng Sabee Aceh Jaya include: (a) The management structure in financing management is still under the auspices of the foundation's management, school principals and treasurers so that there is no adequate supervision and accountability for financing management; (b) Contributions for educational development are determined collectively and adapted to the needs of students.

Abstract

Mastery of English as a foreign language (EFL) is an important skill in today's globalized world. One important aspect of language acquisition is good writing skills. However, students learning English as a foreign language often need help developing cohesion and coherence in writing. This study aims to examine whether a simple view of writing can improve EFL students' cohesion and coherence. This study utilized a quantitative method. Data were collected using two instruments: cohesion and coherence tests and student response questionnaires. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and regression tests. The results showed that a simple view of writing can improve EFL students' cohesion and coherence. Students who used a simple view of writing learning had higher cohesion and coherence scores than students who did not use a simple view of writing learning. English teachers can use this technique to help students write more coherence and cohesive texts.

Abstract

The focus of the study pertains to the narrative structure of the plot in the film Finding Nemo. The plot of a narrative is comprised of a series of occurrences that are interconnected through the principle of causation, whereby each event influences the subsequent one. Besides, this study also sought to find the moral values implied in the movie. The methodology used was descriptive qualitative, where the movie Finding Nemo 100 minutes in length as the source of data. The data collection was carried out through documentation steps, and the data analysis used was interactive analysis involving data condensation, data display, and data verification. The results indicate that the plot of the movie is condensed consisting of the exposition, conflict, rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution. Then, the moral values that lie in the movie are parental bonding, compliance, perseverance, and collaboration.Conclusively, Finding Nemo is a good movie for children to watch as a source of education. The movie teaches important lessons about the importance of family, perseverance, and overcoming challenges via collaborative means.Keywords: Artwork, film studies, literature, moral values, movie plots

Abstract

Paraphrasing is the ability to restate an idea or phrase in a new form without changing its original meaning. This skill is particularly important in academic writing, where plagiarism is a common problem, especially in dissertations and scientific papers. The purpose of this research was to investigate the paraphrasing skills of English students at Serambi Mekkah University, Banda Aceh, and to identify the challenges they face in mastering this skill. Using a quantitative research approach, the study collected data by asking students to paraphrase sentences from essays that reflect the writer's perspective on certain topics. These essays were distributed via Google Forms to students on the English Education programme. The results showed a range of paraphrasing abilities among the students: 33% were excellent, 20% were good and 15% were fair. Conversely, 20% of the students had poor paraphrasing skills and 12% had significant difficulties. These findings highlight that paraphrasing is an essential academic skill, crucial for avoiding plagiarism and improving the quality of writing. The research underlines the importance of teaching students effective paraphrasing techniques to enable them to produce original work and adhere to ethical writing practices. It also provides valuable insights for educators, suggesting that targeted instruction in paraphrasing could help students improve their writing and reduce the risk of academic misconduct. By mastering paraphrasing, students can not only improve their academic performance, but also develop the critical thinking and language skills necessary for effective communication.
