Abstract

This study has been conducted with the participation of Lampulo Community inmarine conservation efforts at the Fish Auction Place of Lampulo area, Banda Aceh. The population in this study was the entire fishing communityat Fish Caution Place in Lampulo area. Whereas, the samples in this study were 20 people including 16 people of fishing community, one boat commander-in-chief, one village chief, one village secretary, and one sea commander. The instruments in this research were interviews and questionnaires. Data collected through interviews and questionnaires showed that the level of participation by communities in marine conservation efforts wasin good categories and the management without any existing rules, written or unwritten rules. They utilized the mangrove forest to avoid cut down.Fishing was prohibited from using toxins that could harm marine ecosystems. Frequently, community-related to Lampulo area was held on a large scale to preserve the resources of the fishing community. Counseling about the importance to keep the conservation of the oceans at bay was often carried out. Fishermen also looked forward to both tooling and infrastructure in the management of marine conservation so that the sea will be kept in good conditions. Abstract

The research aimed to find out if the students of MTsN 2 Banda Aceh who were taught vocabulary using experiential learning got a higher score than those who were taught without experiential learning. This research was conducted using pre-experiment with one class; pre-test and post-test design. The population of this research was the eighth-grade students. The total population of this study was 114 students composed of five classes; VIII-1, VIII-2, VIII-3, and VIII-4. Every class consists of about 28 students. The sample of this research was class VIII-1 of the eighth grade because the students’ ability of this class was better than the other classes. The data were taken through the test. Then, the obtained data were analyzed by using the gain score (GS). The result of this research showed that the GS was 0.32. Meaning that there was a difference between the students’ ability in mastering vocabulary before and after teaching using experiential learning and the difference was 0.32 points or 32%. Therefore, the student’s ability in mastering vocabulary increased 32% with experiential learning. Keywords: Teaching, Learning process, Experiential learning, Vocabulary.

Abstract

Pengelolaan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris pada Jurusan Pendidikan Agama Islam bertujuan untuk mengkaji pembelajaran bahasa Inggris, dengan subyek penelitian ini adalah dosen bahasa Inggris pada jurusan Pendidikan Agama Islam Fakultas Tarbiyah Universitas Serambi Mekkah Banda Aceh. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah deskriptive kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode triangulasi. Temuan penelitian secara ringkas adalah sebagai berikut. Pertama, Satuan Acara Perkuliahan (SAP) yang dirancang dan dipergunakan oleh para dosen dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris belum sejalan dengan baik dengan kurikulum dan silabus yang tersedia. Kedua, pelaksanaan pengelolaan  proses belajar mengajar dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris yang sudah dirancang dan dibuat oleh dosen matakuliah bahasa Inggris belum dapat diimplementasikan dengan sepenuhnya. Ketiga, Evaluasi dalam menentukan tingkat keberhasilan mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Inggris ada empat bentuk atau jenis evaluasi yang dilakukan, yaitu partisipasi kuliah, UTS, pemberian tugas, dan UAS. Keempat, pendukung dalam proses belajar mengajar yaitu materi dan metode yang telah dipersiapkan, media yang berupa buku pengangan mahasiswa, laboratorium bahasa, perpustakaan, komputer dan bahan dari internet.Pengelolaan Pembelajaran Bahasa Inggrispada Jurusan Pendidikan Agama Islam(Studi Pada Fakultas Tarbiyah Universitas Serambi Mekkah Banda Aceh)

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the largest multicultural countries in the world, this can be seen from the sociocultural and geographical conditions of Indonesia that are so complex, diverse and broad. As a plural and heterogeneous country, Indonesia has the potential for multi-ethnic, multicultural, and multi-religious wealth, all of which are potentials to build a large multicultural nation "multicultural nation-state". This nation-state multicultural can be double charged; integration or conflict, which must be held together with full wisdom and nuances of tasamuh in the midst of society. As we understand together, the formation of the State of Indonesia on the basis of its country was formulated with a long and bloody struggle until it was proclaimed on August 17, 1945. The proclamation was also preceded by a long debate about the shape of the country - given the reality of Indonesia's plurality as a nation. as the foundation of the State, with the motto of Unity in Diversity. The effort for Indonesia to survive as a multicultural country continues to be carried out mainly by strengthening education (religion). Because education is believed to have a strategic role to build and restore the way of thinking and attitudes of students into a level that understands pluralism in society

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan upaya guru dalam memotivasi belajar siswa melalui reinforcement pada materi pecahan di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar (SD). Penelitian ini dilakukan di  kelas IV SD Negeri 43 Banda Aceh. dengan jumlah subjek 7 orang  siswa sebagai subjek penelitian. Subjek dan sumber data yang digunakan untuk memperoleh data dalam penelitian ini yaitu guru kelas IV dan siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 43 Banda Aceh yaitu SPA, TZF, AM, KCF, WK, ZN, IS. Subjek penelitian ini ditentukan dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah observasi dan wawancara secara daring dan ofline.  Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap guru matematika dalam pembelajaran materi pecahan dan bilangan pecahan karena sering dijumpai dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, contohnya ketika membagi suatu benda maupun makanan, materi pecahan tidak pernah terlepas dari operasi hitung baik dari penjumlahan, pengurangan, perkalian dan pembagian. Namun masih banyak siswa yang merasa kesulitan memahami materi pecahan tersebut dikarenakan kurangnya minat siswa dalam memahami materi pecahan serta kurangnya motivasi yang ada pada siswa. Oleh karena itu guru harus menanamkan konsep-konsep dan pengalaman mendalam agar siswa dapat memahami soal-soal matematika berbentuk pecahan dengan baik. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa Covid-19 tidak mempengaruhi upaya guru dalam memberikan penguatan (reinforcement) kepada siswa. guru selalu berupaya untuk menerapkan keterampilan memberikan penguatan kepada siswa baik secara langsung maupun melalui whatsApp kepada siswa kelas IV SD  . Hal ini terlihat ketika proses pembelajaran guru memberikan kata-kata pujian ketika ada siswa yang berhasil menjawab pertanyaan yang diberikan dan juga memberikan tepuk tangan ketika ada siswa yang salah menjawab pertanyaan yang diberikan, penguatan tersebut diberikan untuk memotivasi agar iya dapat belajar lebih giat lagi sehingga memperoleh prestasi yang bagus.

Abstract

Kinerja guru merupakan salah satu faktor yang penting bagi terselenggaranya pendidikan dan pembelajaran yang bermutu. Upaya perbaikan kinerja dipengaruhi beberapa faktor, diantaranya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah. Tujuan penulis untuk mengetahui gambaran kepemimpinan pendidikan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru. Penelitian ini kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan analisis kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi dan kepustakaan. Hasil dari penelitian mengambarkan bahwa kinerja setiap orang dipengaruhi oleh banyak faktor, diantaranya sebagai berikut: (1) Kompetensi Individu, (2) Dukungan Organisasi, (3) Dukungan Manajemen. Upaya kepala sekolah terhadap pembinaan kinerja guru meliputi tanggung jawab terhadap tugas, disiplin, dan komitmen.

Abstract

Teacher performance is one of the important factors for the implementation of quality education and learning. Efforts to improve performance are influenced by many factors, including the leadership of the principal. The author in this article will explain the description of the principal's leadership in making plans, compiling school organizations, acting as coordinators and directors, and carrying out staffing management. Teacher performance and development, factors that affect teacher performance, factors that can improve performance, teacher performance in the teaching and learning process, human resource development strategies, principals' efforts to foster teacher performance. In its application, teacher performance improvement can be seen from teaching and learning interactions, learning preparation, learning process, evaluation of learning determined by the leadership of the principal.

Abstract

Conflict resolution education is an effort to overcome problems faced by students, especially in increasing learning motivation. Students are inseparable from conflict. Both conflicts that occur from within the individual itself (personality) and conflicts that originate from outside the individual (interpersonal) such as conflicts between individuals and groups. Not all students have conflict resolution skills. Meanwhile, conflict resolution skills are very important for students to have to solve the problems faced in their lives in the future. Conflict resolution skills must be done are: able to orient, able to understand that each individual is different, able to see situations, empathize, and blame others, able to manage emotions, able to communicate well, able to think creatively in solving problems, able to think critically in predicting in analyzing conflicts. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of learning with guided inquiry strategies on creativity and science process skills at SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Baru. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach with quasi experimental research techniques. The design used in this study was a non-equivalent control group design. Data collection was grouped into 2 groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The number of samples in this study were 50 students for the experimental class and 52 students for the control class. The research instruments were creativity tests and science process skills tests. The value of the students' creativity test results at a significance level of 0.05 obtained that the sig value was 5.965 1.98 (tcount ttable) and Sig (2-tailed) 0.000 0.05 indicating that the data was significant or significantly different between the experimental class and the class control. Hypothesis testing with the SPSS version 23.0 for windows program at a significant level of 0.05 was obtained; The value of students 'science process skills shows that t-count t-table at a significant level of 0.05, namely 6.0551.98, indicates that there is an effect of guided inquiry strategies on students' science process skills. This shows that the science process skills of students who have a high level of creativity with students who have a low level of creativity, where students who have a high level of creativity obtain higher process skills than students who have a low level of creativity and between students' creativity and science process skills.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out if there is a positive correlation between students self-confidence and speaking ability. The students self-confidence was variable X and speaking ability was variable Y. This study was focused on the problems on the correlation between student self-confidence and speaking ability. This research was conducted based on the correlation research design. The participants of this study were students at SMAN 11 Banda Aceh. It was the eleven grade female students, which was from the class of XI IA3. This class consists of 30 students. In collecting the data, the researcher used two methods to collect the data of two variables. The instruments were a questionnaire and speaking test. The first instrument is a questionnaire, which contains 14 points. This questionnaire used to measure the level of students self-confidence. The second instrument is the speaking test. Oral proficiency scoring categories from Brown (2004) have been used as guidance to measure students' speaking ability by conducting “Invitation” as the topic. In analyzing the data, the researcher correlated the result of the questionnaire and the result of the speaking test by needing a partner to do conversation moment correlations. The result of research showed the students self-confidence and their speaking test is 1.00. This value shows the result of this study is 1,00 0,36 are included in the positive category. So Ha is higher than 0, 05. H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So there is a positive correlation between students’ self-confidence and their speaking ability of students SMAN 11 Banda Aceh
