Abstract

This paper describes the dynamics of the life of Muslims in Indonesia in the era of Dutch colonialism. In history, before Europeans came to Indonesia, Islam had developed in Indonesia and had been the majority religion since the 13th century on the island of Sumatra. There, an Islamic empire was established, namely Samudra Pasai, which was later transformed into the Darussalam Kingdom of Aceh, then, in the early 15th century, Islam had dominated the Malacca region (as the trade center of Southeast Asia). When Islam entered Indonesia, the spread of Islam began with Islamic scholars with great motivation. Apart from spreading Islam, they also traded. The important role of scholars can be traced on the map of Islamization which is directly proportional to economic development and the establishment of Islamic empires. In some areas it has become a trading center. International Muslims are becoming important exponents and creating communities in coastal areas. Through this society, Islam has been introduced to the people. But since the Dutch came to Indonesia, the trade situation changed changed. Dutch colonize Indonesia, even spread Islam stalled, because the clergy focused on the struggle against the Dutch.

Abstract

Children's education is an effort to develop the potential that each individual has from an early age. Through education, children not only understand knowledge but are also able to express and apply it in facing various life problems. The success of education requires a structured and methodological conceptual framework. This study aims to analyze the concept of children's education from Ibn Sina's perspective, focusing on three main aspects: its framework of thought, the methods applied, and its relevance to contemporary children's education.   Ibn Sina, as one of the classical Muslim thinkers, offered a holistic concept of education, covering intellectual, moral, and physical aspects. This study examines the conceptual framework, including the educational objectives, theoretical foundations, and learning methods that he proposes. In addition, this research also explores how Ibn Sina's perspective can be relevant to the concept of children's education in the modern era.   The research method used is library research, by collecting and analyzing data from various literature such as books, scientific articles, and related reference sources. The results of the study show that Ibn Sina's thoughts on children's education emphasize the balance between the development of intellect, morals, and practical skills. The contribution of this research lies in the effort to connect the legacy of classical Islamic thought with the needs of today's education, as well as providing a conceptual alternative for the development of a more integrative and characterful children's education system.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the application of Piaget's theory in education, identify the challenges of its implementation, and formulate effective strategies to optimize learning based on children's cognitive development. The research method used is a qualitative literature study with content analysis of theoretical sources such as books, journals, and related scientific articles. The results of the study indicate that the application of Piaget's theory emphasizes active learning and constructivism, where children learn through direct exploration. However, its implementation faces challenges such as differences in students' cognitive development levels, limited facilities and infrastructure, and a rigid curriculum, teachers who are less trained in the constructivist approach, as well as cultural and social factors. The proposed solutions include active learning through exploration, the use of concrete media, social interaction in learning, adjusting the curriculum to the developmental stage, teacher training on constructivism, and process-based evaluation. This article concludes that Piaget's theory remains relevant in modern education, as long as it is supported by flexible teaching methods and a stimulating learning environment. The implication is that educators need to adapt learning practices according to children's cognitive stages to encourage optimal intellectual development.
