Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengidentifikasi faktor penyebab demotivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII di MTs Negeri 02 Tegal, (2) menganalisis strategi guru Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial dalam mengatasi demotivasi belajar siswa kelas VIII di MTs Negeri 02 Tegal. Penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik keabsahan data triangulasi sumber. Data dikumpulkan dengan hasil observasi non partisipasi, wawancara terstruktur dan dokumentasii. Data dianalisis menggunakan reduksi data dengan melakukan konseptualisasi kategorisasi dan tematisasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Faktor penyebab demotivasi belajar siswa diantaranya faktor internal (1) minat belajar; (2) kesehatan. Faktor eksternal meliputi (1) kondisi lingkungan keluarga; (2) pergaulan teman sebaya; (3) lingkungan sekolah; (4) lingkungan tempat tinggal siswa. Guru melakukan berbagai strategi pembelajaran diantaranya (1) pembelajaran kooperatif tipe mind mapping, make a match, talking stick and think, pair & share; (2) pembelajaran kontekstual dan (3) pembelajaran ekspositori melalui kuis interaktif media quizzizz & kahoot. Guru melakukan teknik memotivasi belajar siswa seperti menyampaikan tujuan dan manfaat belajar, memberikan sugesti positif, pujian, penilaian dan kuis interaktif.

Abstract

Era teknologi dan informasi yang semakin maju ini, budaya dengan kearifan lokal tidak boleh dilupakan. Peran kearifan lokal secara kritis mengubah dan membentuk budaya global menjadi bermakna dan sesuai dengan kehidupan sosial dan budaya masyarakat, termasuk di dalamnya dunia pendidikan. Maka dari itu guru saat ini dituntut untuk mampu melestarikan nilai-nilai lokal ditengah arus kemajuan teknologi yang begitu deras. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan melalui kegiatan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Virtual Reality oleh guru IPS di Kabupaten Kudus. Kabupaten Kudus kaya akan kearifan lokal yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber belajar IPS seperti Masjid Menara Kudus, Museum Kretek, Situs Pati Ayam, Rumah Tradisional Kudus, dll. Melalui Virtual reality berbasis kearifan lokal ini diharapkan dapat melatih peserta didik untuk melestarikan nilai-nilai konservasi sosial budaya melalui kearifan lokal yang ada di Kabupaten Kudus. Metode pelatihan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu Praktek Pengembangan Masyarakat atau Community Development Practice. Kemampuan dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran digital yang relevan dengan jaman tentunya merupakan keterampilan yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh guru pada era digital ini. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini, guru dapat meningkatkan keterampilan dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis viritual reality. Guru dapat mengemas materi kearifan lokal dalam bentuk digital yang tentunya akan lebih sesuai dengan generasi native digital yang saat ini mendominasi bangku sekolah. In this increasingly advanced era of technology and information, culture and local wisdom must not be forgotten. The role of local wisdom is to critically change and shape global culture to make it meaningful and appropriate to the social and cultural life of society, including the world of education. Therefore, teachers are currently required to be able to preserve local values ​​amidst the rapid flow of technological progress. One effort that can be made is through learning activities using Virtual Reality by social studies teachers in Kudus Regency. Kudus Regency is rich in local wisdom which can be used as a social studies learning resource such as the Kudus Tower Mosque, Kretek Museum, Chicken Starch Site, Kudus Traditional House, etc. Through virtual reality based on local wisdom, it is hoped that it can train students to preserve socio-cultural conservation values ​​through local wisdom in Kudus Regency. The training method in this activity is Community Development Practice. The ability to develop digital learning media that is relevant to the times is certainly a skill that is really needed by teachers in this digital era. Through this community service activity, teachers can improve their skills in developing virtual reality-based learning media. Teachers can package local wisdom material in digital form which will certainly be more suitable for the digital native generation that currently dominates school.

Abstract

SMPN 7 Semarang City is one of the educational institutions that has a relatively conducive learning environment, both in terms of cleanliness, classroom comfort, and harmonious social relations between school residents. However, behind these supportive environmental conditions, the learning motivation of eighth grade students in Social Studies (IPS) is still relatively low. This phenomenon is the basis for conducting research to analyze the extent to which the learning environment influences student learning motivation by linking it to behaviorism learning theory. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method of 68 respondents selected through simple random sampling techniques from a total population of 210 students. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and interviews, then analyzed using simple linear regression with the help of SPSS software version 26. The results of the analysis show that the learning environment has a significant influence on student learning motivation, as evidenced by a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05) and a calculated t value of 5.264 (> t table 1.667). These findings indicate that the better the quality of the learning environment, both in terms of physical and social aspects, as well as family support, the higher the students' motivation in participating in social studies learning. Improving the quality of the learning environment aligns with the principles of behaviorism, which states that the development of positive learning behaviors can be achieved through the provision of appropriate stimuli and reinforcement. Efforts to create a supportive learning environment are a strategic step in increasing motivation and optimal student learning outcomes.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Social Studies (IPS) learning at the junior high school level continues to face various challenges related to students’ learning difficulties. These difficulties not only affect students’ conceptual understanding but also influence their engagement throughout the learning process. In this context, teacher creativity has become an important aspect to investigate, as it is closely associated with the ability to create learning experiences that are more adaptive to students’ needs. This study was conducted to examine the relationship between teacher creativity and the learning difficulties experienced by seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 5 Semarang. A quantitative approach with a correlational design was employed involving 72 students selected from a population of 287 through simple random sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire that had met validity and reliability requirements and were analyzed through normality testing, linearity testing, and the Pearson Product Moment correlation test using IBM SPSS Statistics 27. The analysis yielded a correlation coefficient of 0.598 with a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), indicating a significant relationship between the two variables. The findings suggest that learning environments supported by teacher creativity tend to be associated with reduced learning barriers among students. Therefore, fostering teacher creativity in instructional practice deserves greater attention as part of broader efforts to improve the quality of Social Studies learning and support student academic success. ABSTRAK Pembelajaran IPS di sekolah menengah pertama masih menghadapi berbagai tantangan yang berkaitan dengan kesulitan belajar siswa. Kondisi tersebut tidak hanya berdampak pada pemahaman konsep, tetapi juga memengaruhi keterlibatan siswa selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Dalam konteks ini, kreativitas guru menjadi salah satu aspek yang menarik untuk dikaji karena berhubungan dengan kemampuan menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang lebih adaptif terhadap kebutuhan peserta didik. Kajian ini difokuskan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara kreativitas guru dan kesulitan belajar siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 5 Semarang. Penelitian dilaksanakan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional terhadap 72 siswa yang dipilih dari populasi 287 siswa melalui teknik simple random sampling. Data diperoleh menggunakan angket yang telah memenuhi persyaratan validitas dan reliabilitas, kemudian dianalisis melalui uji normalitas, uji linearitas, serta korelasi Pearson Product Moment menggunakan IBM SPSS Statistics 27. Analisis menghasilkan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,598 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (<0,05), yang menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara kedua variabel. Temuan tersebut memperlihatkan bahwa pembelajaran yang didukung kreativitas guru cenderung berkaitan dengan berkurangnya hambatan belajar siswa. Oleh karena itu, pengembangan kreativitas dalam praktik pembelajaran perlu memperoleh perhatian sebagai bagian dari upaya meningkatkan kualitas proses belajar IPS di sekolah.
