Abstract

Synthesis of 2’,4’-dihydroxy-3,4-dimethoxychalcone and in vitro test of its sunscreen activity have been carried out. Chalcone was synthesized from 3,4-dimethoxybenzaldehyde and 2,4-dihydroxyacetophenone through Claisen-Schmidt condensation. The synthesis was performed by using KOH 40% under stirring at room temperature for 48 h. The synthesized compounds was characterized using FTIR, GC-MS and 1H NMR spectrometers. Further, the chalcone were screened for its in vitro sunscreen activity by using UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The result showed that the chalcone has been succesfully synthesized in 36.94% Yield. The activity of invitro test showed the chalcone has SPF values with maximal protection category at the consentration 15 µ/mL produce SPF 9.749

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Project-Based Flex Blended Learning (PjBFBL) model in improving students' critical thinking skills on Ohm's Law material in science courses. The quasi-experimental method uses a Nonequivalent Control Group Design with 41 fourth semester students divided into experimental (PjBFBL) and control (conventional) groups. Instruments include critical thinking tests based on seven indicators (interpretation, analysis, evaluation, inference, explanation, self-regulation, essential questions), analyzed using N-Gain, T-test, and effect size. Results showed the experimental group achieved a moderate N-Gain improvement (0.63) with the highest categories in inference (0.78; high) and explanation (0.73; high), while the control group only had a low N-Gain (0.28). The independent T-test confirmed the significant difference (t (25,092) = 7.230; p<0.05) with an average difference of 35.78% and a large effect size (Cohen's d=2.299). The research conclusion indicates that the PjBFBL model effectively improves critical thinking skills, particularly in multidimensional reasoning and information synthesis, through the integration of authentic projects, hybrid flexibility, and structured collaboration. The findings recommend the adoption of this model in science learning to bridge the 21st century competency gap, noting the need to strengthen the interpretation aspect through more contextualized instruments

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the learning outcomes of science can be improved through the Inquiry learning model in fourth-grade students of SDN 4 Limboto. The method used in this study is the classroom action research (CAR) method. This research was conducted at SDN 4 Limboto in fourth-grade students. The object of this study is the application of the think pair share learning method in improving the learning outcomes of science students on the material of forces around us in fourth-grade SDN 4 Limboto. The subjects of this study were fourth-grade students of SDN 4 Limboto. Data collection techniques in this study were observation and tests. Based on the data analysis and learning process in the previous chapter, the researcher can conclude that learning using the inquiry learning model can improve the quality of science lessons on the material of forces around us in fourth-grade SDN 4 Limboto. Student learning outcomes before the application of the inquiry learning model had not reached the KKTP. After the application of the inquiry learning model, student learning outcomes increased, as can be seen in the increase in completeness in the pre-cycle from 35%, increasing in cycle 1 to 55%, and in cycle II increasing to 80%. Thus, student learning outcomes and analysis of observation sheets improved in a better direction with the application of the inquiry learning model.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how to improve students' knowledge in Mulok lessons using the make a match and mind map learning model and whether there is an increase in students' knowledge in Mulok learning for grade V using the make a match and mind map learning model at SDN 11 Limboto. The method used in this study is the classroom action research (CAR) method. This research was conducted at SDN 11 Limboto. The subjects of this study were 30 fifth grade students. Data collection techniques used were observation, field notes, interviews, and tests. Data analysis techniques used were quantitative and qualitative. The results of this study indicate that students' knowledge before the application of the Make A Match and Mind Map learning model had not reached the KKTP. After the application of the Integration of the Make A Match and Mind Map learning model, students' knowledge increased, as seen in the increase in completeness in the pre-cycle from 26% to 50% in cycle I and in cycle II to 86%. Thus, students' knowledge and analysis of observation sheets increased in a better direction with the application of the integration of the make a match and mind map learning model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan literasi lingkungan peserta didik melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) pada mata pelajaran muatan lokal DAS dan Danau di kelas V SDN 17 Limboto. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, di mana setiap siklus terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 20 peserta didik kelas V SDN 17 Limboto. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan meliputi observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan literasi lingkungan peserta didik. Hal ini terlihat dari peningkatan ketuntasan belajar pada setiap siklus. Pada tahap pra siklus, peserta didik yang mencapai ketuntasan sebanyak 7 orang (35%). Pada siklus I meningkat menjadi 11 orang (55%), dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 16 orang (80%). Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan literasi lingkungan peserta didik kelas V SDN 17 Limboto.
