Abstract

In the process of solving math problems/problems, especially in the matter of relations and functions, between one student and another student must have a different mental process. Students' mathematical abilities in solving problems quickly and immediately are influenced by mental activity that is supported by intuitive thinking. Students who find it difficult to solve math problems with analytical (formal) abilities will use their intuition to help solve problems. So the purpose of this study is to describe the characteristics of students' intuitive thinking used in solving relations and function problems which are viewed from the mathematical abilities of each level of mathematical ability. Researchers use qualitative methods in this study. The results of the data analysis show that: (1) students who have high mathematical abilities in working on relations and function problems involve the characteristics of intuitive thinking globality, status theory, self-evidence, and coerciveness; (2) students who have mathematical abilities are working on relations and function problems involving the characteristics of intuitive thinking theory status, globality, and implicitness; and (3) students who have low mathematical ability in working on relations and function questions involve the characteristics of intuitive thinking extrapolativeness, self-evidence, and globality..

Abstract

Many students assume that they have carried out the correct thinking process in solving problems, but in reality students only imitate the procedures carried out by the teacher without understanding mathematical concepts. This condition is called pseudo thinking. Errors in the structure of thinking can be solved by rearranging the wrong thought process, namely restructuring the thought process. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study research conducted at class VIII SMPN 1 Sumbergempol. The subjects of the study consisted of 4 students divided into 2 impulsive cognitive style subjects and 2 reflective subjects. Selection of research subjects using purposive sampling techniques. Data collection techniques used were MFFT tests, problem solving tests, and interviews. Data analysis used the Spiral model with results 1) Fragmentation experienced by impulsive students, namely fragmentation of pseudo-incorrect thinking. 2) The fragmentation experienced by reflective students, namely the fragmentation of pseudo-true. 3) The application of restructuring to impulsive students who experience pseudo-wrong thinking can provide a complete structuring of thinking, so that students can solve problems in a structured and correct manner. 4) The application of restructuring to reflective students who experience pseudo-corruption can really provide a complete structuring of thinking, so that students can have the right mindset.

Abstract

This study examines three philosophies of life among the Madurese people—Song Osong Lombhung, Mon Soghi-Pasoghe’, and Rampa’ Naong Bringin Korong—as models of local wisdom that reflect the values of love and tolerance in Islam. This study aims to reveal the philosophical meanings of these proverbs and their relevance to the principles of Islam Nusantara. The method employed is local hermeneutics with a qualitative-interpretative approach to interpret Madurese symbols, language, and cultural practices within their social context. The findings indicate that Song Osong Lombhung emphasizes family solidarity, Mon Soghi-Pasoghe’ fosters social responsibility, and Rampa’ Naong Bringin Korong describes universal harmony. Together, these three form a value structure ranging from micro-level solidarity to cosmic love, aligning with the concept of rahmatan lil ‘alamin. This study concludes that Madurese local wisdom can serve as a model of contextual Islamic praxis that reinforces moderation, compassion, and social tolerance in Indonesia.

Abstract

The Sharia tourism industry has witnessed remarkable growth in recent years, becoming one of the most dynamic sectors within the global travel market. According to recent data, the number of Muslim tourists reached approximately 230 million in 2023, demonstrating the increasing demand for tourism products and services that comply with Sharia principles. This growing market highlights the potential of Islamic-based tourism not only as a spiritual journey but also as a driver of economic and cultural development. Despite this progress, one of the most persistent challenges in the development of Sharia tourism is ensuring the consistent application of Islamic values in all aspects of service delivery and business operations. Many destinations still struggle to maintain a balance between commercial objectives and adherence to Sharia norms, particularly in providing facilities that align with Muslim travelers’ expectations of halal, ethical, and value-based experiences. This study seeks to examine the role of consumer confidence in mediating the relationship between Islamic business ethics and religious tourism marketing effectiveness at the Ar-Rahman Mosque Tourism Site in Blitar District. The research employed a quantitative approach using survey data collected from 150 respondents through purposive sampling. The structured questionnaire utilized a 5-point Likert scale to measure key variables related to ethical perception, consumer trust, and marketing performance. Data analysis was performed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 26.0. The findings reveal that Islamic business ethics—particularly the principles of honesty (ash-shidq), justice (al-‘adl), responsibility (al-mas’uliyyah), and transparency—have a positive and significant effect on the marketing of Sharia-based tourism. Furthermore, consumer confidence acts as a crucial intermediary that strengthens the impact of ethical practices on marketing effectiveness. This suggests that when religious tourism providers consistently uphold Islamic ethical standards, they not only foster trust among Muslim tourists but also enhance the overall competitiveness and sustainability of the Sharia tourism sector.
