Abstract

This study aims to examine variables such as Water user (X1), Water Price (X2), and GRDP Per capita (X3) that affect water demand (Y) at regional drinking water companies (PDAM) in Banjarmasin City. The population in this study is the annual report data conducted at PDAM Bandarmasih. The research method used is descriptive quantitative in the form of data from PDAM Bandarmasih and the Central Statistics Agency. The hypothesis testing used is the classical assumption test and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that the independent variable Waters user (X1), water price (X2), and Income per capita (X3) significantly affect the dependent variable water demand (Y). The varying water price, the dominant factor for the water demand, has a negative effect; if the water quantity increases by 1%, the water demand decreases. The variables X1 and X3 have a positive effect on the water demand (Y) of PDAM Banjarmasin City

Abstract

The income of cinnamon farmers can be influenced by various factors, both internal and external factors. This study uses internal factors such as the selling price, distance, and cost as variables. This study aims to determine the influence of variable selling prices, spreads, and expenses on the income of cinnamon farmers in the Loksado District. The data source used in this study was primary data in interviews with a sample of 20 respondents. The analysis tool used is multiple linear regression with income as the dependent variable and three independent variables, namely selling price (Rp), distance (Km), and cost (Rp). Multiple linear regression will test the influence simultaneously (f test) and partially (t-test) through eviws10 software. The results of this study showed that variable free selling price, distance, and cost that is influential simulant or together and partially or each variable affects the income of cinnamon farmers; in this study, dependent variables (gain) can be explained by independent variables (capital, labor, and working hours) of 100%. The test results and analysis show that free variables such as selling price and cost have a significant partial effect and variable distances have no considerable impact. Then the most dominant variable affecting the income of cinnamon farmers is the variable selling price. Based on the study results, the conclusion that can be applied to increase income is to manage the selling price as best as possible regularly because the higher the selling price, the greater the profit for cinnamon farmers. But if the selling price is too high, the consumer will be reduced. Therefore the price must be adjusted to the demand. Then use transportation so that the distance traveled is not too far, and use the cost by the needs of cinnamon tree land.

Abstract

Poverty in rural areas is still one of the main challenges that hinders the improvement of people's welfare, especially in the Lok Baintan Floating Market area. Despite the abundant potential of local natural resources and culture, the lack of innovation and effective use of technology and marketing has led to limitations in developing the creative economy. Therefore, this research was conducted to formulate a creative economy development strategy based on local potential to increase community income in the region. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach. In particular, it explored case studies in three main villages: Lok Baintan Village, Sungai Tandipah Village, and Paku Alam Village. To achieve the objectives, data was obtained through in-depth interviews with village officials and business actors. In addition to that, field observations and documentation studies related to local economic policies and potential were also employed to enrich the data reliability. The data were then analyzed using the SWOT analysis to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that affect the development of the creative economy in the Floating Market area. The results showed that despite potential advantages such as low start-up capital and abundant human resources, the main obstacles were related to the lack of innovation, marketing technology, and infrastructure support. Therefore, the proposed strategy includes increasing the capacity of business actors through innovation training, optimizing the use of digital media, and strengthening the role of Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) in managing the creative economy. Thus, implementing this strategy is expected to increase community income and encourage sustainable creative economic growth in the Lok Baintan Floating Market area.

Abstract

South Kalimantan Province, a key contributor to Indonesia’s economy, faces disparities in economic growth driven by uneven human development, poverty, and labor dynamics. Despite abundant natural resources, regional inequalities persist, necessitating evidence-based policy interventions. This study analyzes (1) the partial and simultaneous effects of HDI, poverty rate, and TPAK on economic growth; (2) identifies the most influential variable; and (3) provides actionable recommendations for equitable development. Using panel data regression (2019–2023) and EViews 13, the study applies CEM, FEM, and REM models, validated by Chow, Hausman, and Lagrange Multiplier tests. Classical assumption tests (normality, multicollinearity, autocorrelation) ensure robustness. HDI and TPAK significantly boost economic growth, while poverty’s impact is statistically insignificant. HDI emerges as the dominant driver, underscoring the role of education, health, and income. Policymakers should prioritize HDI-enhancing investments (education, healthcare) and targeted poverty programs, particularly in high-disparity districts. Future research should expand variables (e.g., infrastructure) and timeframes for deeper insights.
