Abstract

Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini ialah (1) Mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai budaya dalam cerita rakyat Asal-Usul Angso Duo Jambi dan (2) Mendeskripsikan Relevansi nilai yang terkandung dalam cerita rakyat Asal-Usul Angso Duo Jambi untuk pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra di SMA(sekolah menengah atas). metode yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sedangkan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu nilai-nilai budaya cerita rakyat jambi yang diperoleh dari penutur asli bahasa melayu jambi dan dari buku cerita asal-usul angso duo jambi. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan teknik wawancara dan studi kepustakaan kemudian dianalisis dengan teknik reseftif untuk memperoleh nilai-nilai budaya yang ada hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat nilai-nilai budaya dalam cerita sejarah asal-usul angso duo jambi yaitu (1) nilai ketuhanan (2) nilai kemanusiaan (3) nilai kehidupan (4) nilai spiritual (5) nilai ritual (6) nilai moral (7) nilai sosial (8) nilai intelektual.hasil penelitian juga menunjukan bahwa nilai-nilai yang terdapat dalam cerita asal-usul angso duo jambi relevan untuk dijadikan bahan ajar bahasa dan sastra di SMA pada cerita rakyat

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat fenomena campur kode dalam penggunaaan bahasa Melayu Jambi di Pasar Rakyat Merlung Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Barat, yang meliputi bentuk, fungsi dan bahasa yang menjadi penyumbang terjadinya campur kode. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Data penelitian berasal dari percakapan lisan penjual dan pembeli di Pasar Rakyat Merlung. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui observasi, simak (sadap, catat, dan rekam), dan wawancara. Uji validitas data dilakukan menggunakan teknik triangulasi yang meliputi triangulasi sumber, triangulasi metode, dan triangulasi teori. Data dianalisis menggunakan teori Miles dan Huberman melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan 40 bentuk campur kode dalam penggunaan bahasa Melayu Jambi di Pasar Rakyat Merlung, yang terdiri dari 34 bentuk campur kode tataran kata dan 6 bentuk campur kode tataran frasa. Kedua bentuk campur kode yang ditemukan terdiri dari enam kategori, yaitu nomina, adjektiva, adverbia, verba, numeralia, dan pronomina. Lima fungsi campur kode di Pasar Rakyat Merlung, yaitu fungsi memberikan informasi, fungsi menegaskan, fungsi menghormati lawan tutur, fungsi menanyakan, dan fungsi persuasif. Bahasa etnis sumber penyumbang campur kode bersumber dari tiga bahasa, yaitu bahasa Jawa, bahasa Minang, dan bahasa Melayu Palembang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kategori bentuk campur kode yang paling dominan adalah campur kode berkategori nomina yang berhubungan dengan kata sapaan, sedangkan fungsi campur kode yang paling dominan adalah fungsi memberikan informasi dan fungsi menegaskan. Adapun bahasa etnis paling dominan bercampur kode dengan bahasa Melayu Jambi adalah bahasa Jawa. Kata kunci: Campur kode, bahasa melayu jambi

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan unsur semantik yang meliputi latar, detil, maksud, dan praanggapan yang terdapat di dalam video YouTube Najwa Shihab “Tiga Bacapres Bicara Gagasan” menggunakan wacana kritis Teun Van Dijk yang dapat membantu masyarakat memahami dinamika komunikasi politik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif menggunakan model analisis wacana kritis Teun A. Van Dijk. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam dalam penelitian ini adalah dokumentasi. Dalam penelitian ini, dokumentasi dilakukan melalui pencatatan atau transkripsi dari tiga video terpisah di YouTube Najwa Shihab dalam acara “Tiga Bacapres Bicara Gagasan”, masing-masing video berfokus pada satu bacapres. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model interaktif Miles & Huberman yaitu analisis data meliputi tiga tahap, yaitu (1) reduksi data, (2) penyajian data, dan (3) verifikasi atau penarikan simpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 9 data elemen latar, 9 elemen detil, 6 elemen maksud, dan 6 elemen praanggapan.Kata kunci: wacana kritis, semantik, bacapres

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the influence of the PBL model on student success to write explanatory texts in student which was carried out in August-September of the 2022/2023 academic year. The method used in this reasearch is a two group pretest posttest design. In the experimental group learning, the leraning model was the Problem Based Learning, while in the control group learning, the conventional method was used. Each learning group was initially given a test in the form of a pretest and at the end of the learning was given a test in the form of a posttest. This study uses population and sample in the study. The population is all eighth grade students.The total sample was 64 people. The instrument used was a learning test to write explanatory text. Based on calculations, the average value obtained from the results of the explanation text in the experimental class posttest was 74,6. This value of the control class, namely 46,4. Data analysis requirements were tested using a normality test. Sample data can be said to be a normal distribution if Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) > 0.05. Based on the results of the homogeneity test on samples from both classes, it shows that the sample distribution is normal. This is indicated by obtaining 0.0315 > 0.05 in the experimental class and control class with a significance value in both Based On Mean classes >0.05. Next, hypothesis testing was carried out using the Wilcoxon test. The hypothesis testing criteria is rejection based on the analysis prerequisite test. The sig. value obtained is 0.000. So therefore, formulated that there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning model on the learning to write explanatory texts for class VIII students at SMPN 24 Kota Jambi City is accepted. The PBL model can be used to achieve learning goals. Using the Problem Based Learning model also maes learning more varied and not boring.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the linguistic elements of short story texts in the compositions of class VII students of SMP Negeri 7 Muaro Jambi. The type of research in this study is qualitative. In this study, a descriptive method was used to determine and describe the linguistic elements of short story texts in the compositions of class VII students of SMP Negeri 7 Muaro Jambi. The data source in this study was the short story text of class VII D students of SMP Negeri 7 Muaro Jambi, observations of the linguistic elements of short story texts in student compositions. Data collection techniques used observation and documentation. The data validity test in this study used the triangulation technique. The theory in this study uses interactive data analysis of the Miles and Huberman model which consists of four stages. The first stage is data reduction, followed by data presentation, and in the third stage, drawing conclusions. The results of this study are that the short stories made by students as a whole do not contain one or two linguistic elements. In particular, students still have difficulty in using second person pronouns and inter-sentence conjunctions. The most common repetition elements are word repetition and phrase repetition. Most of the short stories made by students contain short story linguistic elements in the form of first and third person pronouns. And the short stories written by students often use intra-sentence conjunctions and only a few use inter-sentence conjunctions.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi tenaga kependidikan dalam penerapan Ejaan Yang Disempurnakan (EYD) Edisi V pada penulisan surat dinas di SMP se-Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur. Permasalahan yang ditemukan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar tenaga kependidikan masih menggunakan aturan ejaan lama dan belum memahami secara utuh kaidah terbaru, seperti penulisan kata serapan, penggunaan huruf kapital, serta tanda baca. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan berupa pre-test, sosialisasi, simulasi kasus nyata, pendampingan, dan post test. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman terhadap surat dinas melalui kaidah EYD Edisi V. Hal ini terlihat peningkatan signifikan dari hasil pre test dengan hasil post test dalam pemahaman penulisan surat dinas. Peningkatan ini membuktikan bahwa tenaga kependidikan mulai memahami dan mampu menerapkan EYD Edisi V dengan lebih baik. Dengan demikian, program pengabdian ini memberikan kontribusi nyata terhadap penguatan kompetensi kebahasaan tenaga kependidikan sekaligus peningkatan kualitas administrasi pendidikan.
