Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of flood that occurred in Jakarta toward the return of sectoral stock indices listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2000-2013. The hypothesis of this study is that there are significant effect of floods occurred in Jakarta toward the return of sectoral stock indices listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period 2000-2013.The data used in this study are secondary data, daily closing prices of sectoral indices in 2000 and 2013 were obtained from the library of the Indonesia Stock Exchange. While the analysis is the analysis of time series with GARCH models. The results of this study are that there are significant effect of floods occurred in Jakarta toward the return of sectoral indices, which 4 of the 10 sectors in 2002, 3 sector in 2007, and 2 sector in 2013. The sectors that are affected significantly are the consumer goods sector, property and real estate, finance, and trade, services and investment.

Abstract

Effective legal education is key in the criminal justice system, especially in correctional institutions such as the Central Jakarta Class IA State Detention Center (Rutan Salemba). This article examines the application of legal education regarding the process of conducting criminal trials at the district court level for inmates of Salemba Detention Center. Through Community Service (PKM) conducted by the Consultation and Legal Aid Center (PKBH) of the Faculty of Law, Tarumanagara University, this research aims to provide legal education to inmates in order to increase inmates' understanding of the judicial process. The method used was direct counseling with material presentation by Advocates of PKBH FH Untar, followed by a question and answer session. The material presented covered the basis of criminal law in Indonesia, trial procedures, and the rights of suspects or defendants, including the right to legal aid. The results showed that there are still many prisoners who have a limited understanding of the criminal justice process. Legal counseling proved effective in increasing the legal awareness of prisoners, especially regarding their rights and the stages of the trial. This increased understanding is expected to assist prisoners in dealing with the legal process and contribute to the effectiveness of the criminal justice system as a whole. In conclusion, legal education in correctional institutions plays an important role in realizing justice and preparing prisoners for trial. ABSTRAKPendidikan hukum menjadi langkah yang baik demi terwujudnya sistem peradilan pidana yang terselenggara dengan baik dan kompeten, terutama di lembaga pemasyarakatan seperti Rumah Tahanan Negara Kelas IA Jakarta Pusat (Rutan Salemba). Artikel ini mengkaji penerapan pendidikan hukum mengenai proses pelaksanaan persidangan perkara pidana pada tingkat pengadilan negeri bagi warga binaan Rutan Salemba. Melalui Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) yang dilakukan oleh Pusat Konsultasi dan Bantuan Hukum (PKBH) Fakultas Hukum Universitas Tarumanagara, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendidikan hukum kepada para warga binaan demi meningkatkan pemahaman warga binaan tentang proses peradilan. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan langsung dengan pemaparan materi oleh Advokat PKBH FH Untar, dilanjutkan dengan sesi tanya jawab. Materi yang disampaikan mencakup dasar hukum pidana di Indonesia, tata cara persidangan, dan hak-hak tersangka atau terdakwa, termasuk hak atas bantuan hukum. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masih banyak warga binaan yang memiliki pemahaman terbatas tentang proses peradilan pidana. Penyuluhan hukum terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran hukum warga binaan, terutama mengenai hak-hak mereka dan tahapan persidangan. Peningkatan pemahaman ini diharapkan dapat membantu warga binaan dalam menghadapi proses hukum dan berkontribusi pada efektivitas sistem peradilan pidana secara keseluruhan. Kesimpulannya, pendidikan hukum di lembaga pemasyarakatan memainkan peran penting dalam mewujudkan keadilan dan mempersiapkan warga binaan untuk reintegrasi ke masyarakat.

Abstract

This article analyzes the urgency of applying the principles of due diligence and public interest in evaluating and imposing administrative sanctions on Mining Business Permits (IUP) in Indonesia. Using normative legal research methods, the study examines statutory regulations, principles of administrative law, and decisions of the Administrative Court (PTUN) to assess the consistency of government actions in mining oversight. The findings indicate that many IUP revocation decisions are overturned because of insufficient data verification, the absence of on-site inspections, and the failure to consider community and environmental impacts. This demonstrates that these two principles are essential prerequisites for ensuring the legality, accountability, and social legitimacy of administrative decision-making. The article recommends strengthening coordination between central and regional governments, enhancing supervisory capacity, and involving local communities as key strategies for improving mining governance and promoting more accountable administrative law enforcement.

Abstract

Local culture is an important part of the national identity that must be preserved and maintained. The values in local culture are also reflected in the daily lives of the community. With the rapid development of information and communication technology, efforts to raise public awareness about culture can be carried out through the preservation of traditional games as well as through the existence of online games that contain elements of local culture. From the analyzed phenomenon, there is a concern about the fading implementation of local culture among teenagers. From this, the desire to act and conduct outreach related to spreading awareness in preserving traditional culture through the medium of games emerged. This research aims to provide understanding to the students of Yakobus Highschool that local culture can be studied and recognized through various types of games, both traditional and modern, using a seminar method to provide material. The results of the activity show that the activity successfully increased interest in games that highlight local culture, indicating that education were conducted appropriately. Budaya lokal merupakan bagian penting dari identitas bangsa yang harus dijaga dan dilestarikan keberadaannya. Nilai-nilai dalam budaya lokal juga tercermin dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat. Dengan pesatnya perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, upaya meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat terhadap budaya dapat dilakukan melalui pelestarian permainan tradisional maupun melalui keberadaan online games yang mengandung unsur budaya lokal. Berangkat dari fenomena yang telah dianalisis, muncul kekhawatiran atas lunturnya implementasi budaya lokal untuk para kalangan remaja. Dari situ, timbul rasa untuk bergerak dan mengadakan sosialisasi berhubungan dengan penyebaran kesadaran dalam melestarikan budaya tradisional lewat media permainan Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada siswa-siswi SMA Yakobus bahwa budaya lokal dapat dipelajari dan dikenali melalui berbagai jenis permainan, baik yang bersifat tradisional maupun modern, dengan metode yang digunakan yaitu seminar pembekalan materi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan PKM berhasil meningkatkan ketertarikan terhadap game yang mengangkat budaya lokal, mengindikasikan bahwa dengan edukasi dan penyuluhan telah dilakukan dengan tepat.
