Abstract

This study examines the challenges faced in implementing village fund policies in Melawi Regency, which are not functioning effectively. The research aims to explore various aspects related to the policy implementation process, including socialization, resources, disposition, and bureaucracy. Empirical analysis is used to gain knowledge and understanding and to discover new concepts. The study finds that the implementation of village fund policies in Melawi Regency has been hindered by excessive verification workloads, delays in budget disbursement, actor capacity constraints in implementing policy SOPs, and planning of village policy programs that do not consider real data on community problems.

Abstract

As the human population increases, the need for daily living also increases. This has an impact on increasing the amount of waste produced, including hazardous and toxic waste. However, public awareness of managing hazardous and toxic waste is still low. Many people do not separate hazardous and toxic waste from other waste due to a lack of awareness and knowledge about hazardous and toxic waste management. Based on this background, this Community Service activity was carried out to socialize the segregation of household hazardous and toxic waste in the Banjar Serasan community. The method used in this activity is using a case study approach, pre-test, lecture, discussion, and post-test. Before the presentation of material from the resource persons, there were still participants who did not know what household hazardous and toxic waste was, its types, and how to manage it, namely 8 out of 18 participants. After the material was given, all participants managed to understand what hazardous and toxic waste was and ways to apply the management and application of reduce, reuse, and recycle in handling it. Through this activity, it is hoped that it can support increased education for the public regarding the issue of hazardous and toxic waste that is relevant to the SDGs points including point 13, namely climate action.

Abstract

Women’s participation in political activities in Indonesia has grown since the reformation era in 1998. Democracy believes everyone has an equal right to participate in politics, and no one is left behind. The affirmative policy regarding women's participation in politics has been regulated in Article 65, paragraph (1) of Constitution No 12 of 2003, which mentions that at least 30% of parliament members should involve women as representatives. However, in reality, many cases show that women always become a second party with the privilege to participate in politics. Lembaga Gemawan is one of the local NGOs in West Kalimantan which focuses on women's empowerment, including political participation. This article discusses the role of the NGO (Lembaga Gemawan) in encouraging women's participation in local politics in West Kalimantan. This research used a descriptive qualitative method. The research results show that the Gemawan Institute has a positive role in encouraging women's participation in local politics in West Kalimantan through two strategies, 1) establishing empowered women's communities at the local level, such as the Mempawah Regency Women's Union (SPKM) and the Kayong Utara Regency Women's Union (SETARA); 2) organized a strategic course on winning women candidates at the provincial level by providing political education for women candidates.

Abstract

Program pembangunan menuju desa mandiri berupa program pemulihan ekonomi yang dibiayai dari dana desa telah dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Putussibau Selatan selama beberapa tahun. Namun hasilnya masih belum mencapai tujuan yang diharapkan. Dari 14 desa hanya 3 desa yang berkatagori desa mandiri. Ini mengindikasikan bahwa implementasi program pemulihan ekonomi desa di Kecamatan Putussibau Selatan masih kurang efektif. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mendapatkan model implementasi program pemulihan ekonomi desa di Kecamatan Putussibau Selatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat faktor dominan yang mempengaruhi efektivitas program pemulihan ekonomi desa di kecamatan ini yaitu faktor sumber daya, kepemimpinan, disposisi dan peran publik. Disarankan, dana desa dimanfaatkan untuk program pembangunan yang produktif, kerja sama yang harmonis antar perangkat desa, keterlibatan publik dalam proses pembangunan desa.

Abstract

Transformasi digital di Dinas Perpustakaan dan Kearsipan Kabupaten Kubu Raya menghadapi tantangan yang signifikan, terutama dalam kaitannya dengan keterbatasan sumber daya, teknis, finansial, dan infrastruktur. Penerapan Sistem Pemerintahan Berbasis Elektronik (SPBE) bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi, transparansi, dan kualitas layanan publik. Melalui pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD), berbagai masalah dapat diidentifikasi, termasuk kurangnya keterampilan staf dalam pengelolaan teknologi digital dan terbatasnya pendanaan. Hasil FGD menunjukkan bahwa meskipun terdapat hambatan, strategi implementasi dapat difokuskan pada pelatihan teknis, integrasi sistem layanan, dan kolaborasi dengan universitas serta sektor-sektor swasta yang ada. Pelatihan staf perpustakaan mengenai teknologi digital diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan teknis mereka dalam mendukung transformasi pelayanan digital. Selain itu, perlu adanya upaya pencarian sumber pendanaan alternatif seperti hibah dan sponsor untuk mendukung keberlanjutan program ini. Hasil evaluasi dari kegiatan PKM ini menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman akan pentingnya transformasi digital dan langkah-langkah konkret yang dapat dilakukan, meskipun realisasi penuh membutuhkan dukungan lebih lanjut dari pihak-pihak terkait.

Abstract

In essence, this research article discusses the issue of public service in the region by introducing the "Ikat Cloth" innovation implemented by the DPMPTSP of Sintang Regency to streamline the licensing process for business actors. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method, considering five innovation attributes as the research outcome. The results indicate relative advantages in terms of ease of access, alignment with community needs, ease of comprehension, feasibility through the socialization process, and ease of observation reflected in positive changes in licensing services. However, there are occasional challenges due to the weakness of the internet network during implementation. Nevertheless, it is expected that this innovation will assist and facilitate service processes to the community in the future.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze strategies for optimizing the role of Generation Z beginner voters through political education ahead of the 2024 elections in Kubu Raya regency. The success of holding elections can be seen from the high level of participation of community groups. The lack of knowledge and awareness in understanding democracy and less than optimal political education for first-time voters can allegedly reduce the involvement of first-time voters in the 2024 elections, especially in regency generation Z and millennials dominate Kubu Raya's population, novice voter require special attention. This research uses descriptive research methods with a qualitative approach. The data in this research were obtained from interviews with sources from beginner voters in Kubu Raya Regency, observations, and literature studies. This research found seven particular political education strategies implemented by the General Election Commission facing the 2024 elections in the Regency Kubu Raya in carrying out voter education programs to increase community participation.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of LAPORRAMA, an innovative digital system introduced by the Disdukcapil of Sintang Regency, aimed at enhancing public satisfaction in civil registration services, particularly for birth and death certificates. The study investigates key issues such as accessibility, data accuracy, and transparency in service delivery within rural areas, where geographical challenges hinder access to essential documentation. Employing qualitative methods, including interviews with key stakeholders such as health officials and community leaders, the findings reveal that LAPORRAMA significantly streamlines administrative processes, reducing the time and effort required for obtaining vital records. Notably, the integration of this system facilitates immediate issuance of birth certificates at local health facilities, improving user experiences and mitigating the bureaucratic burdens associated with traditional manual processes. Additionally, LAPORRAMA addresses issues of corruption by ensuring transparency in administrative fees. Overall, the research highlights LAPORRAMA's critical role in enhancing the quality of public services and fostering trust in government institutions, thereby contributing positively to community well-being in Sintang Regency.

Abstract

This paper aims to show how the performance of the Koperasi Daya Karya in the Sintang District Office of Education and Culture has so far been. Using a qualitative descriptive method, this study describes several problems that refer to the first aspect of responsiveness, namely the ability to identify the needs of members, prioritize services, develop agendas, and develop service programs for members who have not been running optimally and not yet optimal. unfulfilled needs and aspirations of members; secondly, the responsibility for implementing activities at “Daya Karya” has not been carried out with administrative principles that are in line with cooperative policies, the level of conformity between the formulation of the vision and mission of the Koperasi and the dynamics of change, the level of anticipation in dealing with change; accountability of "Daya Karya" which has not been able to account for its actions and work optimally, as well as several factors that influence the results of the work of dedication to "Daya Karya" of the Sintang District Education and Culture Office. Thus, this research is expected to make service performance at the "Daya Karya" Office of Education and Culture of Sintang Regency run optimally.
