Abstract

This research is an empirical study to analyze the factors that affect the company's financial performance improvement (corporate turnaround) at the manufacturing companies that are experiencing financial difficulties (financial distress) during the period 2008-2013. From 135 manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange, designated 43 companies as samples by purposive sampling method. Tests in this study using logistic regression method. Factors tested in predicting the occurrence of turnaround are: the size of the company, free assets, assets retrenchment, CEO turnover, and leverage. By testing the feasibility of the model, it is stated that the model is fit for use in this study to allow for further testing. Statistical tests showed that the size of the companies and assets retrenchment significantly positive effect on corporate turnaround while variable leverage, free assets and the change of CEO does not affect thecorporate turnaround. The results of the study imply that the size of companies and assets retrenchment could increase the ability of  corporate turnaround, but  not so with leverage, free assets and CEO turnover.

Abstract

MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) in Indonesia play an important role in the national economy, especially in rural areas. One of them is Gonoharjo Village in Kendal. This village has promising MSME potential in the field of snacks and Javanese sugar production but still has many obstacles due to the limitations of MSME owners in packaging, labeling, and marketing. This community service aims to explore the use of labeling, packaging, and digital marketing as a strategy for developing MSMEs in Gonoharjo Village, Kendal in 2024. The method used is a qualitative approach with socialization, in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation studies. The results of this community service show that optimizing product labeling and packaging can increase selling value, while digital marketing has proven effective in expanding the market and increasing brand awareness. This study suggests the importance of ongoing training and support from local governments to maximize the potential of MSMEs.ABSTRAKUMKM (Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah) di Indonesia memegang peranan penting dalam perekonomian nasional, terutama di daerah pedesaan. Salah satunya yaitu Desa Gonoharjo di Kendal. Desa ini memiliki potensi UMKM yang menjanjikan di bidang makanan ringan dan produksi gula jawa namun masih memiliki banyak kendala karena keterbatasan pemilik UMKM dalam pengemasan, pelabelan, dan pemasarannya. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi pemanfaatan pelabelan, pengemasan, dan digital marketing sebagai strategi pengembangan UMKM di Desa Gonoharjo, Kendal pada tahun 2024. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan sosialisasi, wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menunjukkan bahwa optimalisasi pelabelan dan pengemasan produk dapat meningkatkan nilai jual, sedangkan digital marketing terbukti efektif dalam memperluas pasar dan meningkatkan brand awareness. Penelitian ini menyarankan pentingnya pelatihan berkelanjutan dan dukungan dari pemerintah lokal untuk memaksimalkan potensi UMKM.

Abstract

This study investigates the correlation of workload, work stress, and work environment on employee performance at Bank BRI KC Semarang Pattimura, with job satisfaction serving as a mediating variable. Data were acquired from 102 employees using a quantitative technique via questionnaires. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) utilizing Partial Least Squares (PLS) in SmartPLS version 3 was utilized to assess validity, reliability, and hypothesis testing. The findings demonstrate that workload does not substantially influence employee performance, whether directly or via job satisfaction. Work-related stress substantially affects employee performance, both directly and indirectly through job satisfaction. Furthermore, the work environment positively influences job satisfaction and staff performance. Job happiness significantly contributes to improving employee performance. The findings underscore the significance of a supportive work environment and efficient stress management in enhancing job satisfaction and staff performance at Bank BRI KC Semarang Pattimura. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Education and Training (Diklat) and discipline on employee performance, with career development as an intervening variable studied at BKPP Semarang City. Performance includes more than just the achievement of set standards, but also involves the ability possessed by each individual or group to exceed expectations and contribute directly to the achievement of organizational goals. Good performance is reflected in observable and measurable attitudes, which reflect the effectiveness of individuals in carrying out their duties, both in meeting specified standards and exceeding organizational demands in an efficient and effective manner. This research method uses quantitative research. The population used is all civil servants who work at the Semarang City Personnel, Education and Training Agency (BKPP), totaling 64 people. Data collection techniques are using questionnaires and literature studies. This study uses data analysis techniques with structural equation modeling (SEM) methods through SmartPLS 4 software. The results showed that the existence of Education and Training (Diklat) had no direct effect on employee performance at BKPP Semarang City. Education and Training (Diklat) has a significant effect on career development. Discipline has a positive influence on employee performance. Discipline does not have a significant influence on career development. Career development has a positive effect on employee performance. Education and Training (Diklat) affects employee performance through career development. Discipline has no effect on employee performance through career development.

Abstract

MSMEs in Kaliyoso Village, Kangkung Subdistrict, Kendal Regency face obstacles in digital marketing and product legality. Many businesses do not have the skills to use e-commerce platforms and do not have PIRT, making it difficult to expand the market. This service program aims to increase the capacity of MSMEs through training in creating online stores on Shopee and technical assistance for PIRT registration. Activities are carried out with a participatory approach through the stages of socialization, technical training, and assistance to MSME actors. The training focused on hands-on practice of using Shopee and PIRT registration procedures according to the provisions of the Health Office. The results of the activities showed an increase in participants' skills in marketing products digitally and a better understanding of the importance of product legality. This program not only encourages the independence of MSME players in developing their businesses, but also triggers the formation of a digital MSME community as an effort to sustain local economic empowerment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of financial behavior and financial inclusion on investment decisions, as well as the moderating role of financial literacy on the relationship among Generation Z in Batang Regency. The method used is quantitative with a Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach based on Partial Least Square (PLS) through the SmartPLS 3 application. The results of this study indicate that financial behavior and financial inclusion have a positive and significant effect on investment decisions. In addition, financial literacy is proven to positively and significantly moderate the relationship between financial behavior and investment decisions, but does not moderate the relationship between financial inclusion and investment decisions. These findings indicate the importance of financial literacy in strengthening the impact of financial behavior on investment decisions, but not enough to strengthen the relationship between financial inclusion and investment decisions. This study provides implications for the development of a more comprehensive financial education strategy to encourage investment among the younger generation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji pengaruh kemudahan, manfaat yang dirasakan, kepercayaan, serta proteksi dalam mempengaruhi ketertarikan mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan dompet digital Dana. Pendekatan memakai pendekatan numerik dengan metode seleksi responden purposive dan jumlah responden sebanyak 183 orang yang ditentukan melalui rumus Slovin. Proses analisis menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS edisi 25. Analisa data mengindikasikan bahwa semua empat variabel bebas berpengaruh secara nyata memengaruhi minat mahasiswa saat memakai dompet digital Dana. Faktor kenyamanan, manfaat, kepercayaan, dan keamanan masing-masing memiliki nilai t sebesar 5.007, 6.385, 7.660, dan 6.294, yang seluruhnya melampaui batas signifikansi dan mengindikasikan hubungan prediktif yang kuat. Temuan ini mengimplikasikan bahwa peningkatan terhadap keempat faktor tersebut dapat mendorong minat penggunaan e-wallet oleh mahasiswa. Penelitian ini turut memberikan kontribusi terhadap literatur fintech di kalangan generasi muda serta memberikan rekomendasi praktis bagi penyedia layanan dompet digital dalam meningkatkan strategi keterlibatan pengguna di lingkungan pendidikan tinggi.
