Abstract

This research presents a critical review by analyzing and evaluating the implementation of the ratification of the Indonesia-Australia relationship based on the IA-CEPA. Therefore, the focus of this research question is how the implementation and effectiveness of the ‘economic powerhouse’ in the IA-CEPA. The concept of public policy guides this study to analyze the results of the implementation of the IA-CEPA cooperation between Indonesia and Australia. To answer the research question, this article uses a qualitative research method through a literature study to analyze the implementation of the IA-CEPA. The results of this study indicate that IA CEPA serves as a bridge of mutualism to advance the interests of both nations, especially in the economic sector for the welfare of the people. Through reciprocal skills exchange programs, on-the-job training, and regulations governing work and holiday visas, IA-CEPA has succeeded in improving the capabilities and knowledge of the Indonesian workforce in the field of human resource development.

Abstract

This paper aims to see how the consistency between the votes acquired by political parties in the 2019 elections and the votes acquired by the presidential/vice-presidential candidates in 2019. In addition, this research tries to dissect which one has a big role in the contestation of the presidential election in 2019. The main pressure is to see and prove whether there is consistency in the number of votes for the political parties for the presidential/vice-presidential candidates. The final objective of this research is to show that the political parties that carry them do not always have a significant contribution to the vote acquisition of presidential/vice-presidential candidates. Even between the two of them can create a gap, where the vote gain of the political party that carries it can be greater than the candidate for president/vice presidential candidate it carries. The method used is a qualitative descriptive approach. Researchers used secondary data in the form of reports and from the recap of the results of the 2019 presidential and vice-presidential elections. The results of the study show that the accumulation of votes between the supporting parties and the Cawapres shows a certain tendency. This means that there is a tendency that the votes of the party carrying the presidential/vice-presidential candidate pairs are not linear, different or not the same. The votes obtained by the political party carrying 01 and the presidential/vice-presidential candidate pair 01 are not exactly the same or there is a difference, and this also happened to the vote acquisition of the political party carrying the 02 with the presidential/vice-presidential candidate pair 02.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini berfokus pada berjalannya kolaborasi antara pemerintah desa dengan civitas academica (dosen) dalam pemberdayaan kader tim pembina posyandu lanjut usia di desa Cikakak. Desa ini dikenal dengan prestasinya dalam layanan posyandu lanjut usia. Namun, dalam perjalanannya masih minim peran yang melibatkan civitas academika dalam meningkatkan kemampuan para kader posyandu lansia. Permasalahan utama yang diidentifikasi dalam penelitian ini adalah masih minimnya bentuk kerjasama yang konstruktif untuk meningkatkan keberdayaan kognitif para kader posyandu lansia padahal hal tersebut sangat dibutuhkan untuk menjalankan tugasnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus di Desa Cikakak. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah dengan observasi langsung di lokasi penelitian. Hasil dari studi ini menunjukkan bahwa kolaborasi antara pemerintah desa dan civitas academica sangat dibutuhkan untuk memberdayakan dan meningkatkan kapasitas dan kapabilitas para kader. Kesimpulan yang dapat disampaikan dari riset ini bahwa kolaborasi dalam pemberdayaan dapat terlaksana dengan baik, berbagai materi teori dan praktek dapat diterima dengan baik. Ada beberapa hal yang dapat direkomendasikan diantaranya adalah pertama, dibutuhkan aturan formal untuk meningkatkan kolaborasi dengan berbagai pihak secara berkesinambungan; kedua, pemerintah desa harus memfasilitasi berbagai pemangku kepentingan untuk dapat mengoptimalkan berbagai sumberdaya di Cikakak; ketiga, dalam berkolaborasi dengan berbagai pihak maka dapat melibatkan partisipasi masyarakat agar lebih optimal. Abstract

This study examines how parents support home-based English language learning (ELL) among second-grade students in an Indonesian Islamic private elementary school. The study addresses the following research questions: (1) How do parents support their children’s English learning at home? (2) What motivates parents to be involved? and (3) What challenges do they encounter in providing support? Adopting a qualitative design, data were collected from 30 parents at SDIT Permata Hati (North Sumatra) through questionnaires, semi-structured interviews with three selected parents, and home-based documentation of learning resources and practices. Thematic analysis revealed three main themes: (a) instrumental and aspirational motivations driving parental involvement, (b) preferred support strategies such as private tutoring, exposure to English digital media, and embedding English in daily routines, and (c) a capability gap characterized by limited time, low English self efficacy, and pedagogical constraints, which led parents to rely heavily on external courses. The findings indicate that although parents hold strong positive attitudes toward English and recognize its importance for future academic and career opportunities, their involvement tends to be indirect and resource-dependent rather than pedagogically informed. These results imply the need for schools and policymakers to develop structured school-to-home support systems, including parent-oriented guidance, practical home-based learning toolkits, and accessible digital resources to empower parents with limited English proficiency. The study is limited by its small sample size and single-site design, which may restrict generalizability. Future research is recommended to explore how socio-cultural factors, parenting styles, and family values mediate parental involvement in diverse educational contexts.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji peran strategis legislator perempuan dan Komisi Nasional Anti Kekerasan terhadap Perempuan (Komnas Perempuan) dalam perumusan dan advokasi Undang-Undang Nomor 12 Tahun 2022 tentang Tindak Pidana Kekerasan Seksual (UU TPKS). Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh meningkatnya kasus kekerasan seksual di Indonesia, terutama terhadap perempuan dan anak, yang menunjukkan perlunya perlindungan hukum yang komprehensif. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan studi pustaka terhadap dokumen legislatif, jurnal akademik, dan laporan lembaga terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa legislator perempuan pada periode 2019–2024 berperan aktif dalam diskusi publik, pembentukan koalisi, dan penyusunan undang-undang, yang mempercepat proses legislasi. Komnas Perempuan juga berkontribusi penting melalui kajian akademik, kampanye advokasi, dan pemantauan implementasi kebijakan. Sinergi antara kedua aktor ini terbukti krusial dalam pengesahan dan pelaksanaan awal UU TPKS. Kolaborasi berkelanjutan dengan pemangku kepentingan lainnya diperlukan untuk memastikan efektivitas implementasi undang-undang ini, termasuk melalui penyusunan peraturan pelaksana dan peningkatan kesadaran publik.
