Abstract

Daun kemangi (Ocimum basilicum L.) memiliki kandungan senyawa fenolik dan senyawa alami yang meliputi polifenol seperti flavonoid dan antosianin yang memiliki berbagai manfaat diantarnya sebagai antioksidan, antimikroba, antifungi, antitoksik, antiinflamasi dan antihiperglikemik. Inflamasi merupakan suatu respon terhadap cedera jaringan yang melibatkan proses fisiologis aktivasi enzim cyclooxigenase (COX) yang memiliki dua isoform yaitu enzim cyclooxigenase-1 (COX-1) dan cyclooxigenase-2 (COX-2). Penggunaan obat antiinflamasi golongan Anti Inflamasi Non Steroid (AINS) dan golongan steroid mempunyai efek samping dalam penggunaan jangka panjang. Dari studi in vitro fenolik menunjukkan aktivitas anti-inflamasi yang signifikan dengan menghalangi sintesis dan pelepasan histamin dan mediator-mediator alergis inflamator lainnya. Fenolik memiliki aktivitas antioksidan dan aksi cadangan vitamin C serta dipercaya dapat melindungi tubuh dari beberapa jenis penyakit degenerative dengan cara mencegah terjadinya proses peroksidasi lemak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran Fenolik yang terdapat pada daun kemangi (Ocimum basilicum L.) sebagai anti inflamasi ligan 6COX cyclooxigenase-2 (COX-2) dengan menggunakan aplikasi komputasi autodock vina.

Abstract

Turi leaves contain flavonoids, saponins and tannins which can function as Propionibacterium acnes antibacterials so that they can be used to make peel-off gel masks. PVA in a peel off gel mask functions as a gelling agent and film forming agent. The aim of the study was to determine the formulation of turi leaf extract peel off gel masks, physical evaluation of the preparation, and to determine the effect of variations in PVA concentration on the physical properties of the preparation. This study uses a descriptive experimental method. The simplicia extraction method uses maceration with a ratio of turi leaf simplicia and 96% ethanol (1:7). Variations in the concentration of PVA used were 10%, 13%, 16%. Each formula was subjected to organoleptic tests, homogeneity tests, pH tests,adhesion tests, spreadability tests, drying time tests and viscosity tests. The results showed that the peel off gel mask preparations on F1, F2, F3 were respectively dark green in color, had a distinctive odor of turi leaf extract, slightly runny, slightly thick and viscous, had a homogeneous preparation. pH test results 5,75±0,39; 5,88±0,30; 6,17±0,32. Stickiness test results 19,69±5,89 seconds; 36,11±0,65 seconds; 54,02±3,11 seconds. Spreadability test results 5,40± 0,49 cm; 4,57±0,28 cm; 3,70±0,22 cm. Drying time test results 20,06±1,49 minutes; 18,23±1,01 minutes; 16,53±0,73 minutes. Viscosity test results 21173±3609,32 cPs; 48917,33±1,15 cPs; 48938±13,58 cPs. The results of the physical tests were followed by the One Way Anova and Kruskal Wallis statistical tests, showing that variations in PVA concentration significantly affected the physical test results of adhesion, spreadability, viscosity and drying time, but did not significantly affect the pH value.

Abstract

Cocoa shells are waste from the plantation industry, with a fairly good potential source of energy and protein. The ethanol extract of cocoa shells contains alkaloids, flavonoids, phenols, and tannins. Cocoa shell extract has strong antioxidant activity with an IC50 value of 17.21 ppm and has sunscreen activity. This study aimed to determine the formulation and physical test of a peel-off gel mask with cocoa shell extract (Theobroma cacao L) and to determine its effect. The research method used was an experimental method with variations in the concentration of a combination of HPMC and PVA of 2%:10%, 3%:9%, 4%:8%, 5%:7%, and 0%:12%. The physical tests used on the peel-off gel mask with cocoa shell extract (Theobroma cacao L) included organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, spreadability, drying time, adhesiveness, viscosity, and cycling tests. Based on the results of the research carried out, peel-off gel mask has the characteristics of a brown color, a distinctive extract smell and a thick texture, homogeneous for F1 and F5, and not homogeneous for F2, F3, and F4, sticking force 4.53±0.24 seconds; 5.45±0.36 seconds; 8.94±0.64 seconds; 11.23±0.72 seconds; 3.87±0.70 seconds; spreadability 3.99 ± 0.18 cm; 3.33±0.31 cm; 3.47±0.78 cm; 3.32±0.50 cm; 3.05±0.42 cm; pH 6.17 ± 0.10; 6.16±0.03; 6.15±0.10; 6.11±0.05; 6.42±0.03; viscosity 19481.10±201.10; 20165.50±1.05; 20165.73±2.02; 20182.53±9.47; 14618.40±158.48. The physical stability of the gel mask preparations after treatment showed that the results of the peel-off gel mask preparations, F1 and F5, were stable. Abstract

Media pembelajaran merupakan sebuah alat yang di gunakan untuk menyampaikan bahan ajar dari seorang pengajar ke siswa. Jenis media pembelajaran sangat bervareasi tergantung dari siswa yang menjadi target ajar seperti media pembelajaran cetak, audio visual, media gambar, media interaktif, dan media online. Pengabdian di laksanakan di pramuka Kabupaten Karanganyar dengan tujuan memberikan pemahaman akan proses produksi untuk membuat media pembelajaran yang dinamis dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Proses itu meliputi pra produksi berupa pembuatan storyline, produksi dengan pengambilan gambar, dan pasca produksi berupa editing dengan menggunakan aplikasi kinemaster. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah berupa video pembelajaran singkat mengenai sandi-sandi pramuka yang di unggah ke media social Instagram pramuka Kabupaten Karanganyar.
