Abstract

This research aims to make the surrounding community pay more attention to one of the historical relics or mosques in the city of Medan. This study uses the historical research method, which is a method used in collecting historical sources (heuristics). The sample obtained using the interview technique was 5 people in the community around the Osmani mosque. Al Osmani Grand Mosque is located in the area of ​​Jalan Yos Sudarso KM. Pekan Labuhan Village, Medan Labuhan District, Medan, founded by Sultan Deli VII Osman Perkasa Alam, is not only a building that functions as a place of worship. But basically the Al-Osmani Grand Mosque is a cultural blend of Chinese, Middle Eastern, Indian, Spanish and local ethnicities in the city of Medan, namely the Malay ethnicity

Abstract

Reading is a cognitive activity or process that aims to find various information contained in written information. This means that reading is a thought process to understand the contents of the text read. Evaluation of learning to read is a series of activities or steps taken after the completion of the main activities to obtain information about the results of learning to read, then manage and interpret them using benchmarks and goals and certain criteria. This type of research is library research, namely research conducted by analyzing and making written literature scientific journals as well as the main source. So the evaluation of learning to read is the process of determining students’ understanding, acceptance, categorization, analysis and reasoning abilities, as well as the accuracy of students’ pronunciation and intonation when taking reading tests in the target language. The purpose of learning to read is so that students can understand and use language in practice, it is not enough to measure it with mere mechanical abilities. The assessment of reading ability must be seen from the general reading ability as a whole, so that when assessing skills other than mechanical skills, it is also necessary to measure reading ability, for example understanding the content or meaning of sentences. The purpose of this study is to find out how the effort to implement the evaluation of students’ reading learning.

Abstract

Kurikulum muatan lokal pada pembelajaran aksara Arab Melayu merupakan kurikulum yang penting. Aksara Arab Melayu merupakan kompetensi yang harus diwariskan ke generasi berikutnya melalui kurikulum muatan lokal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisi kurikulum muatan lokal dan mengetahuai proses pembelajaran Aksara Arab Melayu Kelas II di MIS Al-Amin, Dalam hal ini, peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif , dengan informasi guru aksara Arab Melayu di MIS Al-Amin. Metode pengumpulan data yaitu dengan wawancara, dokumentasi dan observasi, untuk kegunaan validasi data, maka peneliti menggunakan trianggulasi. Kurang mampunya siswa dalam membaca dan menulis Aksara Arab melayu menjadi salah satu kesulitan guru dalam mengajar, ini di sebabkan oleh kurangnya bimbingan orang tua dalam mengulang pembelajaran siswa di rumah. Media yang telah diajarkan guru kepada siswa sudah tepat dan menjadikan siswa senang dan tertarik dalam belajar, hanya saja kendalanya adalah kurangnya pengulangan pembelajaran di rumah. Kurikulum muatan lokal pembelajaran aksara Arab Melayu kelas II di MIS Al-Amin ini sangat penting karena mengenalkan kurikulum muatan lokal sejak dini pada kelas II tingkat dasar.
