Abstract

Abstrak: Internet of Things (IoT) merupakan salah satu paradigma teknologi yang dikembangkan dalam revolusi industri 4.0. Tujuan pengenalan dan pelatihan kendali robot remote control berbasis mikrokontroler pada siswa SMK Negeri 3 Kota Tegal guna meningkatkan hardskill, pengetahuan dan ketrampilan siswa dibidang kendali robot remote control. Metode pelaksanaan dengan diadakan workshop dan pelatihan tentang Internet of Things, komponen pembentuk IoT, Project kendali robot remote control dan demo kendali robot remote control. Kegiatan PKM ini dilakukan oleh 4 dosen dan 2 mahasiswa Prodi D3 Teknik Komputer, PKM ini diikuti 41 siswa dari jurusan permesinan dan jurusan elektro siswa SMK Negeri 3 Kota Tegal. Dalam mengikuti workshop dan pelatihan ini evaluasi untuk mengetahui siswa dalam mengetahui mengenai perkembangan teknologi IoT system kendali robot remote control berbasis mikrokontroler dilakukan post-test diakhir kegiatan PKM. Pada pelatihan ini peserta kegiatan mempunyai ilmu yang baru dan dapat mengetahui mengenai perkembangan teknologi khususnya penggunaan teknologi IoT, dimana hasil post-test yang didapat 98% siswa paham dalam mengikuti wokshop penguasaan teknologi IoT berbasis mikrokontroler guna meningkatkan softskill.Abstract: Internet of Things (IoT) is one of the technological paradigms developed in the industrial revolution 4.0. The purpose of the introduction and training of microcontroller-based remote control robot control for SMK Negeri 3 Tegal City students is to improve the hard skills, knowledge and skills of students in the field of remote control robot control. The method of implementation is by holding workshops and training on the Internet of Things, components that form IoT, remote control robot control projects and remote control robot control demos. This PKM activity was carried out by 4 lecturers and 2 students of D3 Computer Engineering Study Program, PKM was attended by 41 students from the machining department and electrical department of SMK Negeri 3 Tegal City. In participating in this workshop and training, an evaluation to find out students in knowing about the development of IoT technology microcontroller-based remote control robot control system was carried out post-test at the end of PKM activities. In this training, activity participants have new knowledge and can find out about technological developments, especially the use of IoT technology, where the post-test results obtained 98% of students understand in participating in the workshop on mastering microcontroller-based IoT technology to improve soft skills.

Abstract

The inventory information system used The general administration department still uses a manual system. Current systems use Microsoft Office Excel which causes the process of searching inventory data to be slow. Therefore, this research aims to make the system more efficient, easy to use, and can speed up information access and facilitate data or file management. The inventory system is very effective and efficient to use in general section units, especially logistics sub-divisions because the management of goods starting from procurement, inventory and transactions is recorded accurately. It is hoped that with this system, the process of processing university logistics goods data can run smoothly, quickly, with minimal errors, and information needs about university logistics can be obtained easily if at any time needed. The inventory system is very effective and efficient to use in general section units, especially logistics sub-divisions because the management of goods starting from procurement, inventory and transactions is recorded accurately.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang semakin cepat maka sangat mempengaruhi pula segala aspek kehidupan, terutama segi pendidikan. Pendidikan dengan model pembelajaran yang variatif akan sangat mempengaruhi hasil dari pendidikan tersebut. Pembelajaran dengan model praktikum akan mudah dipahami dan diikuti oleh peserta didik, apalagi terkait pembelajaran teknis yang mengharuskan menggunakan alat, pasti akan sangat diminati oleh peserta didik. Pembelajaran praktikum yang menggunakan alat secara langsung memang akan terasa berat saat dituntut untuk melakukan pengadaan atau belanja alat-alat praktikum yang harganya tidak murah, maka dari itu penggunaan aplikasi wokwi berbasis virtual sangat dibutuhkan untuk menanggulangi kesulitan-kesulitan pengadaan alat praktikum demi pembelajaran berbasis praktikum tetap dapat berjalan dengan baik dan optimal. Setelah kegiatan pelatihan penggunaan wokwi telah dilaksanakan di SMK Dinamika Tegal, di mana kegiatan tersebut diikuti oleh 23 siswa, dan dari kegiatan tersebut didapatkan testimoni sebesar 68,8% peserta sangat mudah memahami, 31,2% mudah memahami dan tidak ada peserta yang merasa sulit dalam memahami penggunaan wokwi.

Abstract

The integration of technology in livestock farming is crucial for enhancing production efficiency and animal welfare. This study aimed to develop and evaluate the implementation of a Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT)-based automated monitoring system in poultry farming. Using an experimental design, the research involved 30,000 day-old chicks at PT. Anugerah Teknologi Ternak in Central Java, Indonesia. The NB-IoT system collected real-time data on environmental parameters and poultry activity. Time-series analysis revealed non-stationary data, while correlation analysis showed a strong negative relationship between temperature and humidity (r = -0.8521). Anomaly detection identified 13.33% of observations as anomalous, demonstrating the system's capability for early issue detection. Regression modeling (R-squared = 0.7261) indicated that temperature and humidity significantly influence poultry productivity. The study concludes that NB-IoT implementation in poultry farming has significant potential for enhancing productivity through real-time monitoring and early anomaly detection, supporting more efficient and sustainable precision farming practices. However, limitations in data stationarity and sample generalizability suggest the need for further research to improve long-term predictions and broaden applicability across diverse farming contexts.

Abstract

Background: The development of microcontrollers in the industrial world is progressing rapidly. However, students, as one of the successors of technological advancement, still lack knowledge related to microcontroller-based technology. Therefore, it is essential to introduce this technology to students, especially at SMK NU 1 Islamiyah Kramat, to help them understand and expand their knowledge of microcontroller-based technology as an effort to enhance their hard skills in the field of electronic engineering. Methods: This community service activity (PKM) was conducted at SMK NU 1 Islamiyah Kramat and involved 29 students from grades X and XI in the Computer and Network Engineering department. The PKM implementation team from Poltek Harber consisted of 4 lecturers and 2 students from the D-III Computer Engineering program. The PKM activity began with a presentation on microcontroller-related materials, followed by training and hands-on practice in creating a temperature measurement project, as well as pre-tests and post-tests. Results: After the PKM activity was conducted and evaluated, there was an improvement in students' understanding of using and creating microcontroller-based projects. This was evident from the pre-test and post-test results, where the high-category pre-test score increased from 61,1% to 79,8%, reflecting a 18,7% improvement. Conclusions: From the PKM activity conducted at SMK NU 1 Islamiyah Kramat, it can be concluded that efforts to enhance students' hard skills in understanding and practicing microcontroller-based technology have been optimal. This conclusion is supported by the pre-test and post-test results, which showed a significant 18,7% improvement.

Abstract

This research evaluates the performance of integrating Wazuh, an open-source Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platform, with Grafana, a real-time visualization tool, for cyber threat detection in resource-constrained environments. The objective is to assess detection accuracy, false positive rates, response times, and system efficiency under controlled experimental conditions. The testbed consisted of two virtual private servers (4 vCPUs, 4–8 GB RAM, 38–50 GB storage) and employed the CIC-IDS2017 dataset as a benchmark for simulating three representative attacks: brute-force, malware injection, and webshell exploitation. The results showed that the integrated system achieved 100% detection accuracy with 0% false positives across 30 trials, with an average total detection time of 3033 ms. Resource utilization remained low, with CPU usage below 35% and memory consumption under 25%, confirming feasibility for mid-range servers typical of small institutions. While these results underscore the system’s efficiency, the findings must be interpreted within the limitations of a laboratory environment where predefined signatures were used. Performance in real-world networks with diverse traffic and unknown threats may differ, and further validation is required. This study makes two key contributions: (1) it provides the first structured quantitative benchmark of Wazuh-Grafana integration in constrained environments using a standardized dataset, and (2) it offers practical recommendations for small and medium-sized institutions, including minimum system requirements and guidelines for dashboard configuration. These findings reinforce the role of open-source solutions as affordable, adaptive, and effective alternatives to commercial SIEM systems, particularly for organizations with limited cybersecurity budgets.

Abstract

The rapid advancements in Narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) technology present significant opportunities for creating innovative products that can be implemented in daily life. One of these innovative products is the utilization of NB-IoT for monitoring cage conditions, maintenance, and boosting livestock productivity under challenging conditions that are difficult to manually control. This study aims to design an automated system capable of maintaining ideal cage conditions, including temperature, humidity, levels of ammonia (NH3 and CO2), as well as providing feed/water to livestock automatically and periodically. The research methodology involves the integration of various sensors mounted on a microcontroller, such as temperature sensors, humidity sensors, ammonia sensors, water level sensors, and pH sensors. The program executed by this microcontroller is connected to a control panel, and through the internet network, control and monitoring can be carried out using mobile and desktop devices. The test results indicate that this system is capable of providing ease in controlling the chicken coop for owners and workers, maintaining poultry health, and increasing livestock product yields from 97.17% of harvested poultry to 98.263%, with a decrease in the mortality rate from 2.830% to 1.737%. Overall, the utilization of NB-IoT technology in this research provides a positive impact on livestock management, offering an automated solution that enhances efficiency and productivity in the agricultural sector.

Abstract

Server computers generally work 24 hours and continuously. The tasks of the server, starting from running the operating system, applications, and data storage, are heavy and oversized. All electronic devices inside the server generate heat when operating. If they are not conditioned in a room with low temperatures, then the temperature of the server computer will increase and cause a decrease in the performance of the server. This study tested the temperature sensor available from the Application Programming Interface (API) feature from Tuya. Utilizing the API will facilitate the design of a system that can focus more on monitoring application development because the built system is no longer focused on complicated and risky hardware designs. The results of monitoring the server room's temperature can be monitored with sensors integrated with Tuya on a web-based page

Abstract

Abstrak: Keamanan sistem operasi merupakan elemen krusial dalam melindungi perangkat digital dari ancaman siber. SMK Negeri 2 Tegal, yang memiliki jurusan Teknik Jaringan Komputer dan Telekomunikasi, menghadapi tantangan dalam meningkatkan kompetensi siswa dalam bidang keamanan sistem operasi, khususnya dalam teknik hardening. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam mengamankan sistem operasi Windows dan Linux melalui pelatihan hardening. Metode yang digunakan mencakup seminar interaktif dan praktik langsung di laboratorium komputer di SMK Negeri 2 Tegal dengan 33 siswa kelas XI jurusan Teknik Jaringan Komputer dan Telekomunikasi (TKTJ). Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan siswa. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman siswa, dengan nilai rata-rata post-test meningkat sebesar 22.7%, dari 66 menjadi 81. Keunikan pengabdian ini terletak pada pendekatan yang menggabungkan teori dan praktik langsung, serta modul pelatihan yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan siswa. Sebagai rekomendasi, disarankan untuk mengadakan pelatihan lanjutan dan mengintegrasikan materi keamanan sistem operasi ke dalam kurikulum untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, kesiapan siswa menghadapi dunia kerja, dan ketahanan digital di dunia pendidikan.Abstract: Operating system security is a crucial element in protecting digital devices from cyber threats. SMK Negeri 2 Tegal, with its Computer Network and Telecommunications program, faces challenges in improving students' competencies in operating system security, particularly in hardening techniques. This community service aims to enhance students' skills in securing Windows and Linux operating systems through hardening training. The method employed includes interactive seminars and hands-on practice in the computer laboratory at SMK Negeri 2 Tegal, envolving 33 students from the eleventh grade of the Computer Network Engineering and Telecommunications (TKTJ) program. Evaluation is carried out through pre-tests and post-tests to measure the improvement in students' understanding and skills. The results show a significant increase in students' understanding, with the average post-test score rising by 22.7%, from 66 to 81. The uniqueness of this service lies in the approach that combines theory and hands-on practice, along with training modules tailored to students' needs. As a recommendation, it is advised to conduct further training and integrate operating system security into the curriculum to enhance educational quality, students' readiness for the workforce, and digital resilience in education.
