Abstract

With the Covid-19 crisis, we can see how technology and education have changed. To adapt to these changes, we must accept who we are and continue to acquire new knowledge. Gadgets are often used as a tool that facilitates communication in human life, both in the general and family environments, which also impacts children's social emotionality. This research aims to describe gadgets' impact on early childhood social-emotional development. This study uses a qualitative method. research data obtained through observation and interviews used three stages in analysing the data: reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The population of this study is 20 parents and three parents with children aged 5-6 years with different professions. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the impact of Gadgets contributes to the formation of children's social and emotional development; the effect of gadgets on the positive side is that children can develop and improve themselves; on the negative side, that occurs in children, namely the loss of awareness of their social life with their environment.

Abstract

This thesis discusses the role of teachers in building the character of early childhood. This research was conducted at State Kindergarten 15 Mendalo Darat, Muaro Jambi Regency, Jambi Province. The purpose of this study was to determine how teachers build the character of early childhood, how to overcome obstacles in building the character of early childhood and what are the obstacles in building the character of early childhood. This research is a qualitative study, data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation to determine the role of teachers in building the character of early childhood. The results of the study showed that the role of teachers in building the character of early childhood in the modern era at State Kindergarten 15 Mendalo Darat, Muaro Jambi Regency, Jambi Province is as follows: First, teachers as informants, namely teachers can be a source of information in working together with friends. Second, teachers as motivators, namely teachers can motivate children to share with their friends. Third, teachers as initiators, namely teachers can teach in giving and answering greetings well. Fourth, teachers as facilitators, namely teachers create a pleasant learning atmosphere and make children obey the rules of the game. Fifth, teachers as evaluators, namely teachers give awards in learning.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman orang tua dan guru mengenai pentingnya seni dalam mendukung perkembangan motorik kasar anak usia dini. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di RA Nurul Yaqin Simpang Sungai Duren melalui metode ceramah interaktif, diskusi, dan simulasi berupa aktivitas seni tari yang melibatkan anak-anak secara langsung. Program ini memberikan edukasi kepada pendidik dan orang tua tentang strategi pengembangan seni sebagai sarana stimulasi motorik kasar, kreativitas, ekspresi emosi, serta kepercayaan diri anak. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta mengenai peran seni dalam pendidikan anak usia dini. Selain itu, anak-anak menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi selama kegiatan berlangsung dan memperoleh pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan melalui aktivitas seni. Kegiatan ini juga memberikan pengalaman praktis bagi mahasiswa dalam menerapkan kompetensi akademik di masyarakat. Dengan demikian, seni dapat menjadi media efektif untuk mengembangkan motorik kasar sekaligus mendukung perkembangan sosial, emosional, dan kreativitas anak usia dini.
