Abstract

This study was aimed at conducting an analysis related to the performance of cyclists, namely the analysis of oxygen saturation in the muscles using muscle oxygen monitoring. This study used a single-subject design. Respondents of this study were road bike athletes preparing for multi-event competitions in West Java province. The measured data were related to oxygen saturation as measured by Moxy (Muscle Oxygen Monitoring), the tool used to examine how well our muscles use oxygen. The instruments included a smartwatch as an additional data collection tool and the Elevate Heart Rate sensor on the watch to record heart rate. The results found that the respondent muscle oxygen saturation was in the fairly good category for the female because the average result fell in the range of 70–80%, not much different from the starting point of the test. The analysis showed that there was a positive correlation between SmO2 and THb, where SmO2 gave a contribution of 61%. The result of this analysis is expected to be used as an evaluation for coaches in preparing athlete training programs.

Abstract

The brain as the activity control center plays an important role in the human body, but this important organ can experience a lack of energy, causing a decrease in concentration. As an athlete who requires high concentration during training and competition, it is necessary to do brain exercise to integrate all body functions that involve the brain. This study aims to determine the effect of Brain Gym on the brain waves and concentration levels of athletes. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review research method, while the data collection technique is carried out by identifying or reviewing all articles that have the same research topic in this study. The articles used in this study were 24 national and international journals obtained from Google Scholar. The results showed that the brain gym had a significant effect on increasing the athlete's concentration.Abstrak: Otak sebagai pusat pengatur aktivitas memegang peranan penting dalam tubuh manusia, namun organ penting ini dapat mengalami kekurangan energi sehingga menyebabkan penurunan konsentrasi. Sebagai seorang atlet yang membutuhkan konsentrasi tinggi saat latihan dan bertanding, maka perlu dilakukan senam otak untuk mengintegrasikan seluruh fungsi tubuh yang melibatkan otak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Brain Gym terhadap gelombang otak dan tingkat konsentrasi atlet. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian Systematic Literature Review, sedangkan teknik pengumpulan datanya dilakukan dengan mengidentifikasi atau meninjau semua artikel yang memiliki topik penelitian yang sama dalam penelitian ini. Artikel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah 24 jurnal nasional dan internasional yang diperoleh dari Google Scholar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa senam otak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan konsentrasi atlet.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and to analyze the effect of the implementation of Jacobsen’s progressive relaxation techniques and Schulte software concentration training on improving students' concentration ability. The method used was experimental method by using the pre-postest group design. The population in this study were 7th and 8th grade junior high school students in Bandung. The sample in this study were 70 students. The sampling technique used was proportional stratified random sampling which was divided into two groups: 35 students into Jacobsen's relaxation group and 35 students into the concentration training group. The result of the study concludes that there was significant improvement in concentration ability (51.23%) by applying Jacobsen's progressive muscle relaxation technique; secondly, there was significant improvement in the ability to concentrate (37.69%) by applying Schulte software concentration training; the last, there was no significant difference in concentration ability between the group accepting Jacobsen's muscle relaxation technique and the group accepting Schulte software concentration training. AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis pengaruh  penerapan teknik rileksasi progresif jacobsen dan latihan konsentrasi software schulte terhadap peningkatan kemampuan konsentrasi siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode ekperimen dengan menggunakan desain Pre-postest Group Design. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah siswa siswi kelas VII dan VIII SMP Negeri 9 Bandung berjumlah 70 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan  Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling yang dibagi ke dalam dua kelompok yaitu 35 siswa ke dalam  rileksasi Jacobsen, dan 35 siswa pada kelompok latihan konsentrasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat peningkatan kemampuan konsentrasi sebesar 51,23% dengan menerapkan teknik rileksasi otot progresif Jacobsen. Sedangakan penerapan software schulteterdapat meningkatkan kemampuan konsentrasi 37,69%. Tidak ada perbedaan kemampuan konsentrasi antara penerapan teknik rileksasi otot Jacobsen dengan penerapan software schulte.

Abstract

This study was aimed to determine how gamma waves and motor educability correlate to gymnastics movement performance of West Java gymnastic athletes. The study used quantitative descriptive method with a correlational design. The population and sample of this study were 13 West Java gymnastic youth athletes selected using saturated sampling technique. The instruments used were gymnastic performance tests, motor educability test (IOWA Brace test), and brain wave test using the Emotiv EPOC Wireless helmet. Based on data processing and analysis, the correlation value between gamma brain waves and movement performance was r= -0.620 with a p -value 0.024 0.05, while the coefficient of determination was 0.384, meaning that there was a contribution of  38.4%. It concludes that, there was a negative functional correlation between gamma brain waves and movement performance. The obtained correlational value between motor educability and gymnastic performance was r = 0.646 with a p-value 0.017 0.05 and a coefficient of determination of 0.418, showing that there was a contribution of 41.8%. It implies that that there was a positive functional correlation between motor educability and gymnastic performance. The correlation value of gymnastic performance, gamma brain waves, and motor educability was r = 0.749 with a p-value 0.016 0.05 and coefficient of determination of 0.560, indicating that gymnastic performance was determined by gamma brain waves and motor educability of 56.0%. The results showed that there was a strong correlation and a significant contribution of gamma waves and motor educability to movement performance in gymnastics.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelian ini adalah untuk membuat analisis dari keterampilan motorik siswa sekolah dasar pasca pandemi COVID-19, keterampilan gerak ini meliputi gerak lokomotor, non-lokomototor, dan manipulative.  Survey dilakukan terhadap siswa sekolah dasar di sekolah percontohan labolatorium di lingkungan Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, jumlah responden yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini yaitu 144 siswa kelas 4 dan 5 sekloah dasar yang terdiri dari 66 siswa putri dan 78 siswa putra. Instrumen yang akan digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes keterampilan yang di kembangkan oleh (Gallahue, 1996), yaitu terkait keterampilan gerak dasar lokomotor, non-lokomotor, dan manipulative. Hasil analisis menunjukan bahwa keterampilan gerak dasar siswa berada dalam tahap transisi, artinya memerlukan perhatian khusus dalam pembelajaran gerak di sekolah untuk dapat meningkatkan keterampilan motorik siswa. Melihat hasil analisis terkait keterampilan motorik siswa sekolah dasar pasca pandemi COVID-19 secara keseluruhan berada dalam tahap transisi, melihat nilai rata-rata setiap komponen yaitu keterampilan gerak lokomotor, non lokomotor, serta manipulative juga terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan. Artinya perlu perhatian khusus bagi para praktisi olahraga khususnya guru penjas sebagai tindak lanjut dalam mengembangkan dan meningkatkan keterampilan gerak dasar dari siswa.Â
