Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya pengaruh secara langsung maupun tidak langsung antara intensitas penggunaan smartphone dan pemanfaatan internet sebagai sumber belajar terhadap motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar mata pelajaran ekonomi siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri di Pemalang Kota. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif, dengan populasi berjumlah 440 siswa dengan sampel 210 siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah dokumentasi dan angket. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik analisis deskriptif dan analisis jalur. Berdasarkan analisis data menunjukkan hasil pengaruh intensitas penggunaan smartphone terhadap hasil belajar ekonomi sebesar 3,3%. Pemanfaatan internet sebagai sumber belajar terhadap hasil belajar ekonomi sebesar 26,1%. Motivasi belajar terhadap hasil belajar ekonomi sebesar 19,1%. Intensitas penggunaan smartphone terhadap motivasi belajar sebesar 4,4%. Pemanfaatan internet sebagai sumber belajar terhadap motivasi belajar sebesar 13,2%. Intensitas penggunaan smartphone terhadap pemanfaatan internet sebagai sumber belajar sebesar 17,2%. Intensitas penggunaan smartphone, pemanfaatan internet sebagai sumber belajar dan motivasi belajar berpengaruh secara positif terhadap hasil belajar baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung. The purpose of this research is to determine directly or indirectly whether or not the effect of the frequency of smartphone use and the use of internet as learning source on the students of XI IPS classes of state high schools in Pemalang’ motivation and achievements on economics subject. This research is quantitative design, which consists of 440 students as the population and 210 students as the sample. The research instruments used in collecting data were documentation and questionaire. Meanwhile, the methods used in analyzing the data collected was descriptive analysis technique and path analysis technique. At last, the whole process of data analysis showed the following results; the effect of the frequency of smartphone use with the student’s test results on economics subject was counted 3,3%, the effect of internet use as learning source with the student’s test results on economics subject was counted 26,1%, the effect of the student’s motivation with the student’s test results on economics subject was counted 19,1%, the effect of the frequency of smartphone use on the student’s motivation was counted 4,4%, the effect of internet use as learning source with the student’s motivation was counted 13,2%, the effect of the student’s motivation with the student’s test results on economics subject was counted 19,1%, the effect of the frequency of smartphone use on the internet use as the learning source was counted 17,2%. The frequency of smartphone use, the use of internet as learning source and student’s motivation a positive effect on student’s achievement either directly or indirectly.
