Abstract

Introduction: Oral mucositis is an inflammatory reaction of oral mucous membrane that often appears in cancer patients due to the chemotherapeutic agents, such as 5-fluorouracil (5-FU). The aim of this study was to describe the characteristic patients who receive 5-FU and had oral mucositis. Methods: This study was conducted on 41 patients with cancer receiving 5-FU chemotherapy at Dr Hasan Sadikin Hospital Bandung. The data was retrieved through interviews to find out patient’s characteristic; nutritional status examination by using body mass index measurement; and oral examination. Severity level was determined by using National Cancer Institute’s Common Toxicity Criteria scale, and the level of pain was measured by Numeric Pain Intensity Rating scale. Results: This research have shown 60,98% patient with cancer had received 5-FU chemotherapy treatment, and 44% with poor nutritional status (underweight). Oral mucositis was only found at non-keratinised mucous. The finding of this study was patients that receiving 5-FU chemotherapy treatment diagnosed with oral mucositis was on the 1st stadium (52%) and the 2nd stadium (44%) with the level of pain was on the mild level (48%) and moderate level (32%).Conclusion: Oral mucositis was found on patients with cancer that received 5-FU chemotherapy with a variety of characteristics, nutritional statuses, locations, levels of severity and pain.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui efektivitas  pelatihan pengembangan model pembelajaran berbasis analisis kebutuhan siswa bagi guru sekolah dasar.  Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yakni eksperimen, dalam hal ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini ialah 30 guru sekolah dasar yang bersedia untuk mengikuti pelatihan yang diberukan. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket dengan menggunakan skala likert  serta wawancara dan observasi.  Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yakni statistik deskripif dan statistik inferensial dalam hal ini adalah paired sample t-test. Hasil analisis data pre-test dan post-test dengan menggunakan teknik  paired sample t-test menunjukkan bahwa nilai signfikansi sebesar (0.oo) lebih kecil dari (0.05). Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan yang signifikan mengenai kemampuan guru dalam mengembangkan model-model pembelajaran.

Abstract

Abstract This recearch aims to determine how much influence the use of experimental modes on learning Natural Science on student learning outcomes fourth grade SDN 05 Pontianak East. The method used in this research is experimental method with pre experimental design, with one group pre-test and post-test design. The subjects were 28 students consisting of 2 males and 8 females. Data collection tool used in the form of test questions formed multiple choice with the number of 25 questions. The results showed the average of student learning outcomes of 73.28. The result of hypothesis (t-test) obtained t counted 9,23 with db = 28 -1 = 27 with significant level (α) = 5% obtained ttable equal to 1,703 Because t count equal to 9,23> ttable equal to 1,703 hence hypothesis expressed accepted. This means that there are differences in student learning outcomes before using experimental learning methods with student learning outcomes after using the experimental method. From the calculation effect size (ES), obtained 1.47 (high criteria). This means that the experimental method gives a high influence on the learning outcomes of Natural Science grade IV Pontianak East Elementary School. Abstract

Abstract. This research was conducted to obtain data and information about reading skills to understand German students. This research is Quasi Experimental Design. The research population is all students grade X SMA Negeri 1 Kab. Barru consisted of 12 classes totaling 396 students. Sampling in this study uses random sampling with a sample consisting of 2 classes, namely class X IPS 6 as an experimental class with 27 students and class X IPS 4 as a control class with the same number of students, 27 people. The research data was obtained through reading skills tests understanding German. Data were analyzed using t-test with the results showing that t-count 11.89> t-table 2.007 with a significance level of 0.05. Thus this study shows that the use of Think Pair Share techniques is effective in improving reading skills in understanding German students' language.

Abstract

Chemistry learning at SMA Negeri 7 Takalar is still dominated by teacher-centered learning. Students still have difficulty understanding chemistry lessons such as colloids, the material of which is conceptual in nature and requires contextual application of concepts. Therefore, it is very important to carry out learning that involves students actively applying colloid theory and concepts through the STEAM approach in the Project Based Learning learning model. This research is quasi-experimental research that aims to determine the colloid learning outcomes of students after learning with the STEAM approach in the PjBL Model for Class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 7 Takalar. Posttest only control group design research design. The population is all class XI students consisting of three classes. The results of inferential statistical tests show that student learning outcomes using the t-test at a value of α = 0.05 obtained a value of tcount > ttable (2.83 > 1.99) and the research samples for Class XI MIPA 2 and Class XI MIPA 3 as experimental and control groups were randomly selected. The results of the descriptive analysis show that the completeness of learning outcomes for the experimental class is 72.73% higher than the control class, 48.48%. This means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, thus it can be concluded that the STEAM approach in the Project Based Learning Model has a significant influence on the colloid learning outcomes of class XI MIPA students at SMA Negeri 7 Takalar.

Abstract

Penguasaan bahasa asing menjadi kebutuhan penting dalam era globalisasi. Namun, tantangan seperti rendahnya akses pendidikan bahasa dan kurangnya pendekatan kontekstual masih terjadi, khususnya di daerah pinggiran. Di sisi lain, pembelajaran yang terlepas dari budaya lokal rentan melemahkan karakter dan identitas nasional. Oleh karena itu, program Kampung Bahasa Berbasis Budaya Lokal diinisiasi sebagai strategi untuk mengintegrasikan pengajaran bahasa asing dengan nilai-nilai budaya lokal guna mewujudkan revolusi karakter bangsa. Kegiatan ini menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif-kolaboratif yang melibatkan masyarakat secara aktif. Metode pelaksanaan mencakup pemetaan budaya lokal, pengembangan kurikulum kontekstual, pelatihan tutor lokal, serta pelaksanaan kelas bahasa asing dengan pendekatan task-based learning dan contextual teaching and learning. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, angket, dan pre-test/post-test untuk mengukur aspek linguistik dan afektif peserta. Program menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada berbagai aspek: kemampuan berbicara peserta meningkat dari 35% menjadi 78%, pemahaman nilai budaya dari 50% menjadi 90%, dan kepercayaan diri dalam komunikasi dari 40% menjadi 85%. Keterlibatan masyarakat naik dari 20% menjadi 80%, dan partisipasi pemuda sebagai tutor lokal meningkat dari 15% menjadi 70%. Selain itu, penggunaan media budaya lokal dalam pembelajaran meningkat drastis dari 10% menjadi 95%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi nilai budaya lokal dalam pembelajaran bahasa asing tidak hanya meningkatkan kemampuan linguistik, tetapi juga menumbuhkan karakter, identitas, dan partisipasi sosial. Pendekatan ini terbukti mampu membangun ekosistem pendidikan yang relevan, inklusif, dan berkelanjutan. Kampung bahasa berbasis budaya lokal merupakan strategi yang efektif dalam membentuk generasi yang terampil secara global tanpa kehilangan akar budayanya. Program ini layak direplikasi dalam konteks pendidikan nasional sebagai bagian dari upaya memperkuat pendidikan karakter dalam kerangka Asta Cita.

Abstract

Ketimpangan akses pendidikan di wilayah 3T (Tertinggal, Terdepan, dan Terluar) menyebabkan rendahnya tingkat literasi dasar, termasuk kemampuan bahasa anak dan remaja. Dalam konteks multibahasa Indonesia, literasi dalam lebih dari satu bahasa menjadi kebutuhan strategis untuk pemberdayaan dan penguatan identitas lokal. Kegiatan ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan desain studi kasus di tiga wilayah 3T: Pulau Serasan (terluar), Entikong (terdepan), dan Pegunungan Bintang (tertinggal). Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan studi dokumentasi, lalu dianalisis menggunakan metode tematik. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pusat literasi multibahasa mampu meningkatkan kemampuan membaca anak-anak dalam bahasa ibu (rata-rata 82%), bahasa Indonesia (rata-rata 77%), dan bahasa Inggris dasar (rata-rata 48%). Selain aspek kognitif, program ini juga memperkuat rasa percaya diri, pelestarian bahasa lokal, dan partisipasi komunitas. Temuan ini memperkuat teori literasi sebagai praktik sosial dan pentingnya penggunaan bahasa ibu sebagai fondasi pembelajaran berbahasa lainnya. Pusat literasi tidak hanya menjadi sarana peningkatan kemampuan bahasa, tetapi juga berperan sebagai ruang interaksi budaya dan penguatan kapasitas komunitas lokal. Pusat literasi multibahasa terbukti menjadi pendekatan efektif dalam menjawab tantangan literasi anak di kawasan 3T. Dukungan kebijakan dan penguatan kapasitas fasilitator lokal sangat dibutuhkan untuk keberlanjutan dan perluasan program ini di wilayah lain.

Abstract

Writing skills are one of the most challenging aspects of foreign language learning, including German. Students of the German Language Education Study Program, Faculty of Languages and Literature, Universitas Negeri Makassar, experience difficulties in producing grammatical and coherent texts. This study aims to determine the effect of applying the collaborative learning model on improving students’ writing skills. The research method used was an experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The participants were 16 second-semester students. The instrument used was a writing test assessed with a standardized rubric. Data analysis using a paired-sample t-test showed a significant improvement, with the average pre-test score increasing from 53.07 to 72.13 (tcount = 10.00 > ttable = 1.75). These findings indicate that the collaborative learning model is effective not only in enhancing the technical aspects of writing (grammar, vocabulary, and structure) but also in improving students’ motivation and social interaction. It is concluded that the collaborative learning model has a significant effect on students’ writing skills and can serve as an effective alternative teaching strategy in higher education.
