Abstract

The purpose of this study is investigating the correlation between religiosity and intention to engage in premarital sex in adolescents at Islamic Boarding School X, Catholic Boarding School Y, and Christian Boarding School Z. The hypothesis of this study is H0, there is not correlation religiosity and tendency of sex before marriage in boarding school of religion, and H1, there is a negative correlation between religiosity and tendency of sex before marriage in boarding school of religion. The Samples were 152 students which is studying in boarding school of religion. This study used quantitative method with correlational design. Data were collected using religiosity scale that was been adopted from Aryati, and tendency of sex before marriage that was been adopted from Sanjaya, E L. The result showed that there is a negative correlation between religiosity and tendency of sex before marriage in boarding school of religion (r = -0,635, p = 0,000). That means the higher religiosity of the student, the lower the tendency to do sex before marriage in boarding school of religion and vice versa.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of communication and conflict resolution on family rituals (dinner time) on parents who have children with college degrees. The total sample in this study amounted to 75 subjects. Dissemination of data using questionnaires distributed online and offline. Retrieval of data using Olsen's communication scale, Olsen's conflict resolution scale and Family Ritual Questionnaire (FRQ) family ritual. Data analysis uses multiple regression methods to determine the effect of communication and conflict resolution together on family dinner time rituals. And using simple linear regression to determine the effect of communication on family dinner time rituals and the effect of conflict resolution on family dinner time rituals. Results of multiple regression test analysis (r = 0,010; p = 0,696). Simple linear regression test results of communication on family rituals (r = 0,006; p =0,496). Simple linear regression test results conflict resolution to family ritual (r = 0,000; p =0,973). There is no influence of communication and conflict resolution on dinner time. There is no effect of communication on dinner time. There is no effect of conflict resolution on dinner time. So that in this study the major and minor hypotheses were rejected.

Abstract

In parents with their kids participating in education, there is some problems they faces. Financial sacrifices and risks of conflict also facility problems when doing family vacation is some problem they have to face. This study will explore more about influence of family ritual vacation and financial management to wellbeing in parents with their kids participating in education. Quantitative research methods with regression analysis technique are used in this study, conducting around 91 participants. Results of the study concludes that there is significant influence between financial management to wellbeing (p<0,05), but not true for family ritual vacation to wellbeing (p=0,125). This finding implied higher ability to plan financial management, their wellbeing will be also higher and vice versa. But the case isn’t true for family ritual vacation as the influence are insignificant.
