Abstract

ABSTRAKSalah satu upaya untuk melestarikan rusa Sambar (Rusa unicolor) dan mengembangkan pemanfaatannya secara berkelanjutan adalah penangkaran. Secara bioteknologi, keberhasilan penangkaran pada rusa Sambar sangat bergantung pada pengelolaan yang benar dari aspek teknis penangkarannya, seperti perumahan, makanan, kesehatan, dan reproduksi. Pengabdian masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menganalisis aspek teknis manajemen penangkaran rusa Sambar termasuk perumahan, makanan, perawatan kesehatan, dan reproduksi. Data yang dikumpulkan tentang aspek teknis penangkaran dianalisis secara kualitatif secara deskriptif, dan kemudian tingkat kualifikasi penangkaran diklasifikasikan sebagai baik atau buruk, dan keberhasilan penangkaran didasarkan pada ada atau tidak adanya pengembangbiakan dan kematian rusa. Pengabdian masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan rusa Sambar di Aek Nauli tergolong baik dan memenuhi standar prinsip kesejahteraan hewan, dengan indikator bahwa semua rusa di penangkaran sehat, tidak memiliki kematian, dan mampu berkembang biak dengan baik. Rusa Sambar juga dianggap masyarakat telah memberikan manfaat sosial dan memberikan dampak positif sebagai sarana edukasi dan objek wisata yang menarik. Kata kunci: manajemen; penangkaran; rusa Sambar ABSTRACTOne of the efforts to conserve the Sambar deer (Rusa unicolor) and to develop its sustainable use is captivity. Biotechnologically, the success of captive breeding in Sambar deer highly depends on the correct management of technical aspects of its captivity, such as housing, food, health, and reproduction. This community service was conducted with the aim of (a) analyzing the technical aspects of the Sambar deer breeding management including housing, food, health care, and reproduction. The collected data on technical aspects of captivity were analyzed qualitatively in a descriptive manner, and then the level of captive qualification was classified as good or bad, and the success of the breeding was based on the presence or absence of breeding and death of deer. community service shows that the management of Sambar deer in AekNauli was classified as good and met the standard of animal welfare principles, with indicators that all deer in captivity were healthy, had no mortality, and were able to reproduce well. The Sambar deer was also considered by the community to have provided social benefits and had a positive impact as a means of education and attractive tourism objects. Keywords: management; captivity; sambar deer

Abstract

Kekayaan keragaman hayati di indonesia merupakan suatu hal yang istimewa yang terus harus dijaga dan di prioritaskan. Pendidikan pengenalan terhadap kekayaan satwa nusantara menjadi pengetahuan yang penting untuk ditanamkan kepada anak-anak sejak dini sehingga menumbuhkan kecintaan dan kebanggan terhadap tanah air dan kelestarian lingkungan hidup. Tujuan utama artikel ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis tren, pola kolaborasi, dan fokus penelitian dalam domain pendidikan pengenalan satwa prioritas kepada anak untuk itu sangat diperlukan dalam rangka membantu anak-anak umur 5-12 tahun dalam kepeduliannya terhadap satwa prioritas Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif berdasarkan investigasi bibliometrik dan literature review. Ruang lingkup data yang digunakan adalah artikel publikasi ilmiah pendidikan pengenalan satwa prioritas Indonesia pada anak umur 5-12 tahun berdasarkan penelusuran website Google Scholar. Artikel publikasi tersebut berasal dari jurnal nasional terakreditasi. Adapun batasan artikel publikasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini hanya yang diterbitkan secara Open Access atau dapat diakses dari segi penulis, penerbit, abstrak, key word, tahun terbitnya dan pdf-nya. Pengumpulan data artikel publikasi dilakukan mulai bulan Januari 2003 hingga bulan Januari 2023. Hasil dari penelitian ialah pendidikan satwa prioritas indonesia pada anak masih sedikit dan bahkan belum ada dilakukan ini menjadi hal yang penting untuk kedepannya menjadi pendidikan satwa prioritas indonesia pada anak baik di sekolah maupun dirumah. Anak-anak adalah generasi masa depan, dan pemahaman mereka tentang pentingnya konservasi dan pelestarian satwa akan membawa perubahan positif di masa mendatang. Kesimpulan fakta bahwa bahwa penelitian yang membahas pendidikan pengenalan Satwa Prioritas Indonesia pada anak masih sangat minim. Diperlukan penelitian-penelitian lebih lanjut mengenai faktor-faktor dan aktor-aktor penyebab masih sangat sedikit yang melakukan penelitian yang membahas pendidikan pengenalan Satwa Prioritas Indonesia pada anak usia umur 5-12 tahun. Dengan minimnya pendidikan ini, ada risiko bahwa generasi mendatang mungkin tidak sepenuhnya menghargai pentingnya melindungi satwa-satwa berharga ini dan ekosistem tempat mereka hidup. Langkah-langkah konkret dan kolaboratif perlu diambil untuk meningkatkan pemahaman anak-anak mengenai kekayaan alam Indonesia, sehingga mereka dapat menjadi agen perubahan yang berkomitmen untuk menjaga warisan alam dan budaya bangsa ini.

Abstract

Mangroves are a type of tree whose habitat is in areas influenced by sea tides. This research aims to determine the percentage of mangrove plant life and habitat characteristics at the planting location in Pasar Rawa Village in the 2018, 2019, and 2020 planting years. The research location is in the forest area of Pasar Rawa Village, which is administratively located in Gebang District, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra Province. The time of the research was carried out from March to June 2021. The success of planting R. apiculata mangrove species in each planting year is above 80%. Based on the measurement results at the three planting locations, the average thickness of the mud was above 40 cm. This indicates the planting location is suitable for vegetation growth. Salinity, acidity, and dissolved oxygen in all study locations are also suitable for mangrove growth. This study concludes that the survival percentage of mangrove planting in Pasar Swamp Village at three years of planting is above 80% and has suitable habitat characteristics for mangrove growth. The success of planting mangroves is inseparable from the role of the community, which maintains and carries out the planting and the types suitable for planting in that location. Suggestions for this research are that it is necessary to thin the location of the 2020 planting year because the distance is too tight and add even more specific environmental factors, such as substrate and nutrients, for even better results.

Abstract

Character development for students means working on the nature of the educational cycle and outcomes that lead to the development of students' personalities and honorable ethics in a comprehensive, coordinated and adjusted manner, according to skills guidelines. One of the problems that occurs at the local level and in the school climate is the low interest of the local community (including high school/mama level students) in the waste problem. The method used in this community service activity is the lecture or socialization method, direction and education by researchers to provide information to Hosana Private High School students about the importance of protecting the surrounding environment and the school. From the results of the socialization and presentation about air pollution and concern for the environment, it appeared that students were very enthusiastic about listening to the presentation from the resource person. After the presentation from the resource person, a discussion session was held on these two topics. From the results of the presentation about air pollution by the resource person to students, it shows that students' knowledge about environmental pollution is relatively good, this is obtained from the average test score carried out after the presentation of 78 obtained from 40 students. Hosana Private High School students have used public transportation to reduce air pollution. Some students use public transportation (angkot), accompanied by their parents and cycle, which is an effort to reduce air pollution. Likewise, the behavior of maintaining school cleanliness has been implemented by students. This can be seen when the socialization event is over, students clean the room and tidy up the room that has been used.

Abstract

Pasar Rawa Village has natural tourism potential that has not been managed optimally, one of which is mangrove ecotourism. Mangrove ecotourism is one of the efforts to conserve forest resources whose management positively impacts the environment and social economy of the community. This research aims to determine the right strategy for developing mangrove ecotourism in Pasar Rawa Village so that its management is sustainable. The research began by determining the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges of ecotourism development through direct observation, interviews, distribution of questionnaires and literature studies, then the development strategy was analyzed using SWOT analysis. The research results show that Pasar Rawa Village Mangrove Ecotourism is in quadrant I which supports aggressive growth policies and eleven ecotourism development plans refer to the regulations of the minister of tourism and the creative economy.
